Golden House in Cardiff

I have been ordering from Golden House for several years via Just Eat, the last 3 times I've tried to order on that platform you have not confirmed the order despite being online and I've had to have my money refunded. Tried to phone several times to ask what was going on and the phone line is inactive. Do not advertise yourself as being online if you are not!!! It's a waste of your customers time!

Worst food tasted in my life absolutely disgusting first and last ordering from there

Didn’t deliver what I ordered, food was cold and 30 minutes late.

Lovely place to eat and lovely people, would definitely recommend I get this everytime I want a Chinese can never fault it!

Massively dissapointed in the food we recieved from The Golden House tonight! Unusually for a chinese meal it was very greasy. Chips were reheated, rice was dry, duck in plum sauce was duck in pinapple and the sauce was watery. The curry was greasy and thin seemed seperated. Very poor quality all of it. Do yourself a favour and avoid. Waste of money will never go back.

Good is always piping hot and well cooked here, can't figure why it doesn't have a 5 star rating

Great food and great service! My go to Chinese restaurant with an unbeatable amount of vegan food including fake chicken, beef, duck and beancurd. Always delivered with a friendly face. Thank you for supplying my uni years in Cardiff the best way! Personal favourites are the vegan beef noodles.

Best takeaway!! The food is always fresh, tastes amazing and the staff are lovely. Yen who is always at the counter is so friendly and professional. We always order the vegan/vegetarian options and we’re never disappointed. It’s incredible and would highly recommend!!!

Had chicken fried rice and chicken curry was awful tonight, chicken was hard and dry will not be using them again. Have used before with no problem

Golden house was the worst Chinese I have ever had! Curry sauce was near enough green, mushrooms were well undercooked and chicken wasn’t even cooked- literally pink. Would never ever recommend to anyone! Rice was dry and hard chicken was dry and unchewable! Chips were not even cooked only warm and tasted completely off! Money waisted! Do not get from golden house. Complete disgraceful and possibly given food poisoning!

Best vegan Chinese food I've ever had anywhere. Get the mock duck! Omg!

The worst food I have ever tasted in my life and the portions were very small. Food quality was terrible my 8 year old could cook better, absolutely vile! watery and full of grease and seemed like the oil was old and food had been re cooked and tasted like it had pepper added on for the flavour the chips were overcooked and burnt full of grease the schezuan chicken was a tray of vegetables hardly any chicken the chicken balls were tiny. Rang up to complain and they would not take our order back and said to eat it and just not go there again the women and the manager were very rude and hung up we had to keep ringing until eventually they answered they said the driver would not come back to pick the food up and refund our money even though we hadnt eaten any of it. In the end we had to take the food back ourselves and after arguing with the manager and the women who were so rude and argumentative they eventually gave the money back 50pence short and shouting at us in Chinese in front of my little boy. Spoilt our night and we had to go somewhere else for food. DO NOT GO HERE AWFUL!!!

Consistently good [15+years] great veg and meat options. you wont get better in Cardiff , highly recommend.

Food arrived cold & pork balls were burnt & swimming in a bag of oil, they sent a new batch which was vile I only gave 1 star because the delivery driver was very apologetic
