Best chinese in Thornton Heath I say !!

Really nice food, I do jump in my car and travel all the way here. Waiting times on a Friday can be ridiculous though 😭. It’s a shame they don’t do delivery or open another shop to do deliveries!

The best food I've ever eaten. Fresh ingredients, deliciously prepared, amazing taste 😋 You definitely have to try T10 Butterfly Prawn and K10 Deep Fried Prawn with chilli and peppercorn salt

The tofu noodles and black bean sauce was brilliant. But if you like spice, get the spicy oil on it. It's a definitely not over powering but totally enhances the flavours.

The food was GREAT, Servicing was GOOD, We also got what we asked for. Overall we really liked this restaurant.😁

I am leaving a review because this for me is fresh , tasty Chinese food and it's surprisingly in Thornton heath. Best one for me in the area by far.

I Order here all the time, couple of years now, long wait for the food, but worth the wait, at least I know my food is fresh and when it comes it’s nice and hot just done. Food never disappoints !!

My local Chinese shop for 16 years although I’ve now moved over 45mins away. All their food is delicious and they are very polite. Today, for Chinese New Year, they generously gave us a goodie bag. I thought there was a chocolate coin inside the money bag but it was a real £1 coin! Thank you for being so kind and the snacks and sweets were so delicious. Happy Chinese New Year!

Terrible terrible terrible service! My children ordered food from here and sat in the “restaurant “ to take away. After an hour the food was still not ready. I went there to find out what happened only for them to tell me it would be another 25 minutes so clearly they hadn’t even started cooking anything! As other people came into Golden House they were telling them a 40 minute wait so I honestly believe that they took advantage because they are children. I asked if they had advised my children that the wait would be that long to which he replied no! We left without food. We’ve eaten here before and the food is mediocre and not worth and hour and half wait!

I struggled to make an order as I couldn’t get through and when I did I made one fine, but when I realise how expensive it was, I tried to call back up 12,000 times and could not get through and just got put on use a busy day, then randomly call me up after I went to another place and collected my food Saying that they had my order ready when I told him that I had tried to call him back up. He said that he was too busy so my number is being blacklisted from his shop. Because he didn’t answer his phone, so I could cancel

One of the best Chinese take-aways in London. I was lucky enough to try authentic Chinese food in Hong Kong and Macau. This is very similar in quality and authenticity.

This is the only Chinese I use. I moved out of the area years ago and still use it. They are a lovely family business and I’ve never had any complaints. The rice, spare ribs, prawns - so delicious and the young man on the front desk does a great job as they are always busy.

This place was really good once,but has gone downhill. Food quality is poor now, no taste and customer service is non existent. Sadly will no longer be a customer anymore.

Worst service ever. service is really bad!!!! The guy at the desk that always answer the phone is daammnn rude no manners at all. No customer service at all. I never really like his vibes or service they need to move him from the front desk. He need training how to talk to people.

Ordered for the first time tonight..... What can I say other than WOW!! The guy on the phone taking the order was very polite and informative... A totally sound dude. The food was truly amazing and way above average, and also very reasonably priced. I can't believe I only live 3 streets away and not discovered this gold mine sooner. Definitely our new regular take away from now on for Chinese food 10/10 highly recommended :-)

Very rude and arrogant staff member, he’s the only person who serves and seems to think this give him authority to give poor customer service. Really busy at the weekend, I find the phone line can be engaged for ages and seems it’s taken off the hook, also average 45 min wait collection/delivery. Card payments are taken but sometimes tricky due to their poor internet connection. Food is usually tasty, nice vegetarian options and dishes are reasonably priced.

First time there randomly went past and decided to go in. Had meal for two egg fried rice, chicken, spring rolls, £13, food is decent, would come back again.

Food ok but rude staff at the counter

Delicious fresh food at reasonable price, only complaint is it's hard to get through to them via phone as the line is most of times busy.

I have been coming to Golden House for 15+ years, food is fresh and always nicely cooked, and even though i have moved I still buy my food from here. The only negative i have is the owners great me as thought they have never seen me before, (not just the adult children serving at the desk) so for lack of engagement with customers, only 4 stars from me.

Ordered £15 worth of take away and I was 19p short for for portion of chilli oil and they refused to give me.. it's kinda put me off going back again as I go out of my way to visit golden house!

My go to Chinese, I've had a few dishes but my favourite is the king prawns in salt & chilli it never disappoints. Fresh tasting, sometimes my spring rolls have been overdone. But that's my only complaint. Oh and getting through, the line is constantly busy but that goes to show, Delivery is fast & polite. I know my food & this is good food! Easily the best Chinese in Croydon.

Honestly can't go wrong with the sweet and sour chicken from Golden House. Delicious Chinese food and is cooked amazingly fast!

Ive used Golden House (GH) for ovet 10 years. In the vast majority of times i can honestly say their food, delivery time is amazing. Its the best Chinese restraunt for miles and miles? Ive tried others only when GH are too busy and fail to answer the phone. And yet to find anywhere better? Don't trust me or my rating? Try it yourself and tell other like I have?

Food was disgusting had no flavour chicken balls has tiny pieces of chicken and lots of batter I'm sick of getting disgusting Chinese I'm not eating Chinese again people need to stop eating there disgusting food and wasting they money food is over priced and yuck
