I recently visited with my son. Bought a doughnut, "blueberry" muffin, raisin bun and Swiss swirl. As for my taste, they were all terrible. Absolute waste of money, I'm sorry. Also quite overpriced considering the quality. Would not recommend it.

Service was amazing super friendly lots of choice, could bearly make my mind up haha, would highly recommend the caramel shortbread!

Try the Bread Pudding, it’s the only source I can find online for delivery!

ordered a brwon baggette and got a white baggette

Bread pudding available for home delivery! I purchased three pieces thinking I would have a piece a day for three days - big mistake two pieces gone in 30 minutes and I am very aware of the remaining piece which clearly is feeling lonely, should have ordered six pieces then would have lasted nearly two days!

Be careful you don't get Overcharged for items you didn't buy. Overcharged me by putting a loaf of bread on my transaction, only noticed when I got home and had to go back and forth for the refund and was told a refund had been processed and never received my money back. Yum yum was also kind of dry.

Seem to go all round the world to get here

A classic British bakery serving both savoury and sweet bakes! It’s close to the Croydon University Hospital so you’ll see nurses, care staff and other local workers frequenting this spot.

Unfortunately, every time I have purchased a pasty or similar hot beverage, it has tasted burnt. Also, items are quite expensive in comparison to say Greggs. Maybe because they are the only eaterie on that stretch of the high street. However they have a good selection of food on offer, it is easily accessible bus but parking nearby is limited/not free. It has wheelchair access. The staff are polite but not quite friendly. FYI there are 4 more eateries within Croydon Hospital, which is just next door, including a cafe upstairs selling similar items for less.

The pastry selection is great! Had one of the best jam doughnuts ever here, it tasted like it was freshly made. And when you get a sandwich and drink, the doughnut is free! Lovely

Cornish pasty are so not worth the money anymore on here they are over £5 for one where they used to be £3.75 or something and then they have made them smaller as well but charging more. That needs to be sorted out does not cost this much in the store so why so much on just eat actually extortion and it’s terrible.

Great little bakery which sells a range of cakes and pasties. Is a little on the pricy side but the food is extremely good quality compared with other bakeries I have tried. Being so close to the hospital is a godsend. The staff are really friendly, if you order a drink and a sandwich they even throw in a free donut. Who can complain.

Was served by a lovely lady i think her name was linda, she went above and beyond to help me with a smile on her face every time she served me, will definitely be going back there

Loved everything as always but just realised that the price of sourdough bread was £3.95 to now £4.80 :/ such a shame that it’s such a steep increase & can’t justify that price!

What a joke. A plain cheese crusty roll for £4.10!!!!! Unbelievable. Just one slice of cheese in a buttered roll. Will definitely not be going there again. Wow!!

Amazing quality food as always but it took just under 2 hours to deliver - would have been nice if may be we were given a small sweet treat to make up for the wait.

I was working in Croydon and see this bakers and I bought a steak bake, sausage roll and a coffee after handing over £10 ( which I thought was a bit steep), well what can I say the coffee was barely Luke warm it would have been hotter if I placed it on a wall in the sun for an hour. The steak bake was so salty that I was glad that ithe shop is close to Croydon hospital as I thought I was close to be having a stroke, the sausage roll tasted like it had been recycled from the day before and was slightly warmer than my body temperature . The prices were quite shocking four doughnuts for £5 😯 looks like I won’t be returning there in a hurry not a patch on Greggs

Another greedy company ramping up prices. Their products are tasty and fresh but im sorry....£1.65 - for a YumYum? Extortionate. Only bought 3 items and I was well over £6....disgraceful. never again

First time trying bread pudding from Coughlands Bakery in Croydon it was delicious 😋. I haven't been there for a while, Linda was there today, I can never forget how friendly and welcoming all the staff are whenever I go.

I was called by the bakery to be notified that there was only one Apple Danish left. Where I had ordered two, they had called to ask if I would like something else instead, so I asked for a Jam Doughnut as a replacement item and thanked the staff for calling to let me know and to help! To my surprise, upon delivery, I found TWO Jam Doughnuts in the box! (I thought ‘Makes up for the price maybe?’… not that I cared, their Jam Doughnuts are wonderful! Pleasantly surprised, wonderful service. Thank you!

Delivery driver was amazing but Coughlans staff are rubbish. I had to reorder as they missed out half of my order and then when I reordered they gave me an item I was allergic to. Absolute rubbish. Do not order from here as they have no care. I suspect they do it for more money when people have to reorder

I'm getting tired of these drivers NOT reading my notes which clearly state to phone me if they are lost. I'm sitting watching the driver run up n down the High Street then I have to go out and find him, for he to make excuses and be rude

Had a yum yum from here today 13.01.23 to find half way through eating it a long hair inside the dough. I have never felt as sick as I did knowing I had been eating something with someone's hair inside. With that said I will not be buying anything from this shop again

Love it here but the prices for the Cornish pasty are way too much, I understand prices have increased but this is a lot, considering it was already high as it was! This is the reason for the lower stars.

Lovely lady served me. Nothing was too much trouble. This lady prepared me a lovely lunch. Coranation chicken baguette. Cinnamon Danish pastry. Top draw sausage (I come from the home of sausage Lincolnshire. This beats Lincolnshire sausage hands down). This wa, served with brown sauce. Thank you. Highly recommend this branch of Coughlans. The baguette bread is always rock hard and dry, unbelievable - especially for a store with "bakery" in its name.....

Coughlans obviously don’t check there orders going out. This is the 2nd time this has happened will not order from them again.

Traditionally, there was no soya in cornish pasty. Now there is milk as well

Unfortunately I could not enjoy my tuna sandwich and had to throw it away - was far from tasty and had far too much butter. On the other hand I really enjoyed the toasted sourdough tuna melt and jam doughnut.

One item was missing in my order. I requested a refund for that, and now "Just Eat will look into it and give me an update in 14 days". Are you kidding me? What are you exactly going to look into? Send detectives? Cross examine everyone involved? Hire psychics? And why does that have to take 14 days? Sigh.

My favourite place to grab food. They do a fantastic vegan chicken salad box which never fails! And lovely oat lattes too. Their vegan cheese pasty is good too and a great place for sweet Christmas presents. Not too pricey either. Staff are nice. Service is good.

Friendly staff, great pastries, choose own roll fillings sells a range of vegan options and milk alternative in their coffees. Little expensive.

Order vegan chicken baguette and they sent me real chicken, not good at all, I quite angry about it.

I was the lady who came in with the little girl every morning whilst I was visiting from America! Great little bakery! The lovely gal at the counter was very patient with us as I ordered treats for 5 girls and two adults. Loved the sausage rolls and the girls love the cupcakes and cookies.... everything was lovely and I will be back! Thank you!

I purchase regularly from Coughlans’ vegan range. Today I placed an order for 3 people via Deliveroo whose service by the way I cannot fault. I was really disappointed with the baguette I ordered (£5.90). It was rock hard, could not bite into it, totally inedible! Certainly not a fresh baguette! What is going on Coughlans? This is not acceptable, especially for the price.

The restaurant and food was excellent… but the agency driver was the biggest let down sadly… I hope they don’t have this problem anymore

Tuna crunch baguette on brown bread is absolutely amazing! The salad is so fresh. Coconut Bakewell tart is absolutely delicious. Money well spent indeed!

1st time going here although I've always wanted to. Lovely well stocked bakery, I was truly spoilt for choice as I visited after just 8am. Reminded me of my childhood when these were the only bakeries you would see:). Staff member friendly and efficient, the things I purchased were delicious and price very good.

Cornish pasty was a bit hard on the Pastry and the yum yum was upside down so all the butterscotch was stuck to the box.

Lovely food and hot drinks and really genuine, friendly staff.
