Best Chinese takeaway in Dumfries I travel 11 miles to collect my takeaway. Highly recommend.

Excellent food and staff can't do enough for you

Set meal for 2. Order was for . 2 x chicken Satay, 1x chicken curry w/mushrooms & onion (swapped from special curry) 3 fried rice, 2 x mixed starters, prawn crackers , 2 cans of pepsi (£38.90) this meal used to cost £26.70 (with 2 x rice) (£32.90 without the changes) We used to order from here pretty often. Food was amazing, staff was amazing. We used to order the meal for set 2. They have put the price up by a considerable amount and now it’s just ridiculous. We always had a set meal and they knew who we were due to being regulars. Making changes to the meal was not an issue and now they charge for making changes. We had a set meal for 2 last night and the food was stinking. The chili chips was rock hard or too soggy, they tasted like they were cooked the day before. The mixed starters were even worse with very tiny x2 spare ribs in each tin where we used to get 3 huge ribs in each tin,Only 1 spring roll in one of the mixed started (meant to be 2) the special curry was changed to a chicken curry (pork and beef the last 2 times were just disgustingly hard and like leather) still wanted extra money for changes) it was more like an onion curry. Fried rice was just really dry. This restaurant has gone down hill so badly and upping the price and now charging extra for the changes where they never did for 7 years of ordering. We won’t be going back! £38.90 (with and extra portion of rice )for a set meal for 2 is just insane ! Spare ribs was as small as a new born cat !!

Use this Chinese often as it's my local one, I have tried a few others just for a little change but nothing comes close to Golden Flower, friendly staff, quick service, not expensive at all and the quality of food is on point, can't fault a single meal I've ever had, 10/10.

Not my go to Chinese but has never let me down as a back up! I only gave 2 stars for atmosphere as its a takeaway. Would recommend for anyone who stays in that side of town

First time I ordered a takeaway from them. Not disappointed. We had 4 different meals from the menu and they where all very nice!

Staying at Newbridge campsite this is the nearest Chinese takeaway & we usually have to try quite a few takeaways to find a good one but this one is excellent. We purchased 3 meals with chips & fried rice & must say the food was superb especially the char-siu pork & mushrooms so much flavour. Very much recommend this takeaway.

If you have never tried the hot and sour soup big mistake no massive mistake it is amazing prawns char Sui chicken it’s a meal in its self and the beef curry is great

Best Chinese in Dumfries. Love their XO sauce!

Really wanted to enjoy this but was left very disappointed,. We had a set meal,. Crackers, soup, rice and pineapple fritters were exceptionally good, however the chicken in the sweet/sour balls and in the crispy chicken was very hard and chewy to a degree was inedible as were the BBQ ribs very hard and very very salty (and I like salt). The curry was ok but we'd already written it off trying to chew the rest. I will try again, and just hope I'd had a one off bad experience,. Service was very quick (maybe too quick) and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Best Chinese takeaway in Dumfries. Delivery can take a while sometimes, although a bit of a pain its more a sign of how popular it is, rather than poor service

£10.80 for 2 portions of chips and 2 pots of curry sauce, because you want them separately, is a bit pricey. Other than this, the food tasted good xx

How this take away has so many good reviews is mind blowing. I've tried most of Chinese take away in the area and this is by far the most bland oily Chinese meal I have ever had. So bland I thought I had maybe lost my sense of taste and was considering going for a COVID test. Avoid!

Ordered a Chinese the other day and can’t even put into words how bad it was tasteless doesn’t cover it and you could tell it was re heats never again

🤢🤢. Got a Chinese from here tonight and it was awful. Mini spring rolls were tasteless, soggy and swimming in oil. The sauce that accompanied it was supposed to be sweet chilli, however it tasted like oiled down sweet and sour sauce. The chicken chow main was tasteless and swimming in oil. The noodles were also burnt. However I think that was from the constant re-heating. Don’t waste your hard earned money on this place it was worst Chinese I’ve had in the town.
