The food is nice and staff are friendly But the hygiene standards let the place down. Dogs are allowed which we don’t mind . But people with dogs letting them sit on the seats it’s disgusting one person had a two dogs sat them on the seats and but dog food and a bowl of water on seating. Where customers sit .saw more than one person do this .tables dirty and chairs desperately need recovering. .

A friend and I chose to have our mid-week dinner at the Golden Eagle. Inexpensive drink and food served by our chearful waiter, Dan made the whole experience a joy. I'd happily recommend this establish to anyone.

Popped in - don't pop in if you want a quick bite as it is popular. Food was ok, burger was ok, Jamaican curry was a bit disappointing at the price of it there wasn't much of it. Table was sticky, cutlery needed a wipe service friendly but took 45 mins for food. Good 2 for £12 deals which I think if we had chosen we might have been more impressed as what we ordered seemed small. Lime and soda - you need more than one tiny shot to taste it and have to ask for more if you want to taste the lime. Overall I can't see why it's so popular, it was disappointing. We will try the 2 for £12 next time and see if improves our opinion.

We have been meaning to come in for quite a while now as we pass it regularly. We called in on the off chance on a late Saturday afternoon with our children.The pub was very busy but they still managed to find us a lovely table to dine at. The pub itself is very large,bright & airy with lots of seating for both dining and just drinks.It also has an over 18’s only bit too. The staff were very attentive,very helpful and also very cheerful and polite. We ordered food at the bar along with drinks.Although like I said previously it was very busy our food was still brought out to us in great time (about 20 minutes), My husband ordered the steak that he said was lovely.I ordered the chicken burger which was very nice and our teens ordered the chicken combination platters each.All the meals were very nicely presented.With a great potion size and was thoroughly enjoyed. The price as well was just brilliant and makes it affordable We will be returning very soon!

Called in with friends for evening meal on Friday a nice young lady served us very polite could not do enough to make us comfortable all the food was delicious and Meghan quickly removed our plates after we finished so we could enjoy our drinks a lovely experience thank you Meghan

What can I say The Golden Eagle is my happy place They offer great food & beverage along with lovely bar staff. GreenKing have a jewel in the crown here & need to invest & appreciate the Team members & place itself as they are great asset to the business

Absolutely amazing experience we come straight in got served straightaway by some amazing workers unbelievable customer service from Dan holly and Faye high complements for the chef in the back to its the best meal of the year so far hands down couldn’t of asked for a better experience once again thank you the golden eagle team x

A great place. Staff was amazing, so polite and the best customer service. I was served on the bar by Beth and Tia and the service was impeccable. Food was brought over by Dan and he couldn’t be more helpful. Lee also provided amazing service. All staff gave a kind welcoming and said goodbye when we left. Will definitely be returning

We had 2 " classics" lasagne and steak pie. Nicely cooked and presented. Good value pleasantly served. A small variety of ales which I was invited to sample. Good family atmosphere. easy parking. Would go again if in area

A great family friendly pub with a great atmosphere, the staff are very hard working but so friendly and welcoming, plus the food is delicious. Seriously bad service, waited at the bar overlooked by staff, then told had to form a cue, nothing to indicate a cueing system, another 10 mins later bar staff walked away from the bar to collect glasses and left a cue of people waiting even longer, no apology, no explanation just bad service, didn’t ask if I had any allergies ( granted I don’t have any) but should this not be standard practice when serving food?? Food arrived 45 minutes later and tepid, didn’t send back as could be bothered with the lack of service. Very disappointed

Popped in for a last minute dinner with my wife. I opted for the Steak and Ale pie which was just banging. My wide went for a couple of light bites that she said were very nice. The staff were very courteous and proffesional. We will be back.

Food was quite good for me (rump steak) nice taste and well cooked to medium rare, but my wife had fish and chips and the fish and batter were well over cooked. Because we were in a group we said nothing. Red wine served in a plastic container - they had no wine glasses - apart from ice cream there is no desert option for gluten free. Absolutely love this place, there is so much choice on the menu with different offers everyday. I took my family on Thursday to find out it was quiz night. The place was buzzing and the quiz master was very funny and had great banter with the regulars! Food was piping hot, delicious & a great portion size.
