Golden Crown in Hackney

Unfortunate experience - which is a shame as liked it prior to but, after pulling someone’s hair out of my teeth - it’s a 1 from me. Tried to convince myself it was my own hair but unfortunately this reddish brown is different to mine.

Exactly what you want from a local Chinese takeaway - does the classic English Chinese dishes at a decent price and with great service. Everyone in our household knows what they’ll order and gets exactly what they expect. Strongly recommended to make the effort to call or go round and to get hold of some cash for the occasion.

Great service and value. Ordered the stir fried tofu and special fried rice and both were delicious. I will be ordering again!

Food was really good, super friendly service and food came out surprisingly quick. I must add that I like the design of the shop, very modern and clean.

Can you get a new phone number ?

It is my favourite takeaway in the area, however, the last whole week I tried to call for delivery and rang over 30 + times on different days, but no one picked up the phone, why?

I have been eating from here for over 25 years I have not once had any problem with my food or customer service the food is so fresh and tasty I cannot go anywhere else lovely people delicious food

It was my first time ordering from this establishment, and I must express my utmost appreciation for the exceptional customer service I received. The food was seasoned to perfection, fresh, and arrived still warm. I am thoroughly impressed and will undoubtedly order from here again in the future.

I have been coming here since a a little boy as it been my local but iv moved up north and I simply cannot find any shop that has to standard or taste, I have come up to see the family this weekend and just had to get some golden crown, I must say it is the best Chinese that I have had and was well worth the six year wait, Bought some for whole family everybody enjoyed, such lovely people

Best takeaway chinese in the area. Good food, not too greasy. Good prices. Staff always on time, polite etc. They do the basics well which is more than most places can say these days!

I was really excited to have a lovely Chinese meal. Read the reviews and did the whole cash only, searching for an ATM thing. The customer service on the phone and in person was great. The sweet and sour chick looked like shredded cuts of chicken in lots of batter stuck together..I couldn't taste the chicken. I was so disappointed with the price and forced myself to eat it so to not waste money. The rice was fresh. No prawn crackers unless you spend over £25. The chips were burnt or overly crispy and deeply fried and oily. Would I go again? Sadly no. But on the service front they were lovely people..but please improve your sweet and sour chicken.

I’ve been going to this Chinese shop for over 10+ years if you haven’t tried it you’re honestly just missing out on some excellent Chinese takeaway never ever remember complaining or having bad belly’s afterwards props off to you guys & very polite people.

Great portions. Great taste always Cooked to satisfaction. Also fair prices.

Delicious food highly recommended to anyone

I have been past this place a lot of times over the years and always seen a load of people outside waiting to collect their orders. I finally decided to have a go and place an order, something I wish I did sooner. The food was freshly, of extremely high quality and exceptionally tasty. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was presented well and packaged well. Portions were very generous. If you want to have Chinese food, I would definitely recommend Golden Crown.

SO TASTY BUT IT SUCKS THAT IT IS CASH ONLY. BBQ PORK RIBS ARE TASTY AND SPECIAL FRIED RICE IS A BOMB COMBO

This is by far the best takeaway Chinese in the game in this area. When I tell you everything taste soo soo good. Good value for money. I’ve never NEVER ordered from here and I’ve been disappointed.

always use this never had an issue until last week waited 2hrs for delivery, ( i could have walked and collected and been home in 20mins had i been advised )and when it arrived food was cold and missing items. response when i phoned to complain was not helpful and has made me re think if we will continue to order from here which is a real shame

Been looking for a good Chinese since i moved to London and it didn't disappoint. Both myself and my partner enjoyed our food and we will definitely be using golden crown from now on. Thanks for a delicious meal 🙂 Came back for a second time.. Again not disappointed 😋 If i could give you another 5 stars i would so i thought id just add a little extra. Thanks again 🙏🏼 My partner don't usually ask for Chinese but he was the one who suggested it tonight. He said its the best Chinese he's ever had.

The food is really good, and the original lady was lovely friendly and kind. They have two young people who a nice. I have told all my friends and family about this restaurant and they haven't been upset until they found out they didn't deliver to their area. Wouldn't say it was the best but I haven't got a favourite. This would be in my top 3

This is by far my favourite Chinese ever. I've been using them for years, and the food never disappoints. My only disappointment is when they are closed lol.

Wonderful African dishes in London

Time waster they will tell you 45mins and it’s take nearly two hours waiting time. And if you call to check your order the lady on the phone showing you attitude…. Please try somewhere els you will never receive a food😡

Love this place! They've got delicious food, at very reasonable prices and great customer service! I've been coming here for years and it's literally my favourite Chinese take away. They were closed over lockdown and wasn't sure if they'd re-open but now they're back! :)
