Golden City Chinese Takeaway in North Lincolnshire

Haven’t ordered from here before, we made a large order which was ready very quickly. All really tasty, if a bit spicier than I was expecting. Will order again.

Whatever you do don’t get the salt and pepper chicken unless you like eating the sun never tasted anything as hot in my life been sat with ice on my tongue for the last hour still no good don’t think il taste anything ever again

Awful barbecue spare ribs , worst meal for a long time , dry ribs , no taste, won't go back again , This place use to be good

Absolutely Ghastly!! Where to start - Fried rice overcooked, beef curry(?) the 'beef was soggy as were the onions - and the curry sauce (we foolishly bought an extra tub) was greeny-brown and tasted disgusting! The 'spring roll(s')?? was one big hard portion like a small loaf of bread, and if you held it up horizontally the oil was dripping off it!!! The prawn toast was also dripping in oil when you held it up!! Crispy chicken was all stuck together in one big ball in the foil dish - needed a hammer to break it up, Didn't try the chicken chow main dish we also ordered - as the bits I ate was truly terrible!!! Waste of money and an insult to my taste buds!

This was our first visit. I had veggie chow mein and chips, the chow mein was very, very dry, there was no sauce at all with it and the chips were quite dry too (Chinese chips should be soft and fluffy inside and crispy outside). My boyfriend had king prawn curry with rice and said his was fine. Probably won't return, which is a shame as the man who served us was really friendly and nice.

The service was terrible! Pure greed on the owners part. Taking too many orders that they could clearly not handle. to have 17 customers stood in the freezing cold on Hogmany was disgraceful. I was given a timeslot and had to wait a further 45 mins on arrival. The quality of the food was very poor at best. Honestly the worst Chinese takeaway I have had for many years. i WOULD NOT GIVE THEM BAD MONEY never mind good money. I will be taking my money elsewhere in future.

Absolutely the Best Special Chow Mien, you could ever have, anywhere. Chinese can be subjective however; Our regular Friday Night Takeaway and other special occasions like Christmas Eve & New Years Eve.
