Godfather's Pizza in Poole

We lived in the neighborhood for 5 years and always ordered some shish wraps on a regular basis. We are collecting the food, from the kebab side. So i cannot make any comments about the pizza side, delivery or anything other food items. Our own experience has always been fantastic. Food is hot, tasty and plentiful, service is great and prices are reasonable. Yes the owner can, sometimes, have an iron face, but he really is a big softy 😉 After a long and stressful day at work and you don't want to cook, then this is the perfect place.

We're local so somewhat regulars. The guy that usually serves us is lovely and the food is normally good. Today I went in after work and the normal man wasn't there, but I was served by a shorter man. He had a smirk on his face, and then I noticed after I had paid that he had charged me £14 for two cheesy chips (£5 each???). I get home to find they're half full and undercooked. Really disappointing experience, and from other reviews it seems that they don't care about righting their wrongs so I doubt I'll ever get a refund or this sorted out. Shocked that they get away with stuff like this.

Bad restaurant, cashier is always angry

I've used the godfather for pick up and delivery for years. My kebab was delivered with a tea spoon of coleslaw, I phoned to put things right and was told I was wrong. I won't go back there are lots of other choices. I own a business and I look after my loyal customers.

New to this takeaway. Tried the chicken and 1/4 burgers. Hot, tasty, good portion, good value. Roll on kebab night!

I was a regular customer here for a long time, always delivery. Had been in hospital and on return I placed an order but apparently I clicked collect instead of delivery.. Obviously no food showed up. When called up to see what had happened an if they would let me have the money off my next order, they were very rude and refused to give anything for my mistake, despite them knowing who I was and how regular we ordered. Well now lost a customer, just be careful you don't make any mistakes when ordering.

I ordered a kebab with garlic sauce but there was no sauce so it was very dry.. The delivery time was extended a bit and I was quite hungry by the time it arrived.

Been ordering from here for 15 years never had a problem however quality has gone down hill and last night when I ordered has hairs in both pizzas, would not come here again and do not recommend

Food was cold and there's was missing ingredients on our food. don't think I will order it again which it's a shame

Summary- 30 years of being a customer down the drain. Very rare for me to bother with a bad review but my experience was soooo awful/strange I had to post. Always loved Godfather. As I say above, 30 years of tasty food, good prices and fast delivery. Ordered pizza and snacks at 19.40 last night. Food still hadn't arrived by 20.50 so we called them. Rude man answered and shouted that they were busy and the food was on it's way. 21.15 the food arrives stone cold. I put it in the oven and call again to complain and ask for a partial refund to acknowledge the delay and poor quality. At this point the man on the phone goes berserk. Says it's our fault... how? Gets very aggressive and tells us he wants the food back. That he's sending someone to our house and we'd better bag it up ready for return. 10 minutes later there's a equally aggressive young man banging on my front door. Obviously I did not open it so he starts banging on the living room window. When that didn't work he starts repeatedly calling my phone. It was pretty scary especially with my kids in bed metres from this person and his pizza rage. Just as I was about to call the police he left. I didn't sleep well last night as you can imagine. Genuinely cannot believe all this happened over a £14.30 pizza. It was horrible. So yeah... order here and wait 2 hours for delivery or upset the manger and receive a heavy at your front door within 10 minutes.

Its disgusting the atmosphere and the behaviour of owner is quite bad and i never recommend to anyone to go there

Second time ordering kebabs from here but not that enjoyable and won’t be ordering again unfortunately, mayo not creamy bit more like a fruity taste.

I've always enjoyed The Godfather Kebabs, my only criticism is the portion size. A large Doner used to be far more substantial. These days you don't get much more meat than a medium. But I can't fault the taste and speedy delivery

Food was freezing cold, not just not quite hot enough but freezing cold. The kebab nearly cracked a tooth with 2 bit bits of bone. Gross. Won't use again

eh. its a cyheep pizza kebab style place. not bad. food is right what u need if your drunk. very meh if sober. but their fast which lets face it is all we really care about often enough.

Delivery was late and all the food turned up stone cold. The two burgers where burnt and inedible. The kebabs where greasy and tough even after heating all the food it was that badly prepared it was awful the whole lot went in the bin! I will never order from this place again absolutely disgusting.

Chicken was burnt and whole meal tasted of charcoal. Disappointed.

Chicken shish lamb done was delicious will reorder. The chips wrap was a basic, would be nice with a bit more vegetables in it.

Ordered a Giant Chicken Fillet with Bacon, With Cheese that comes standard with lettuce and mayo (all chicken burgers come like that), ours had no bacon, no lettuce and no mayo. Second item on the order was a chicken shish kebab. The chicken Shish kebab was more like grilled chicken than marinated. Upside is that it all tasted really good, the chicken burger was not salty (as many are) and the kebab was very tasty. Would give it another try in the hope that the next order will be right as the quality was great.

I was a little disappointed with our meals thia evening as last time, we had it as had a lot of meat and salad but not this time for some reason. Will give the benefit of the doubt for the next order in the near future

Literally the worst website I have ever tried to use, put items in my basket, and then website just emptied it for no reason. DOES NOT WORK!!!

In the past The Godfather was reliable. Recently it's gone downhill. We ordered 2 Vegetarian pizzas. One with extra cheese, one with extra mushrooms. Not a complicated order. The one that should have had extra mushrooms was instead covered in chunks of meat sausage! 🤢 On a vegetarian pizza. 🙄😑 Just how had that happened? I rang up to complain. They sent out a replacement. This was a plain vegetarian pizza that had no extra mushrooms. They wouldn't refund me either. Putting meat on a specifically vegetarian pizza is ridiculous. We will never order from them again.

Used to be a customer for years, even before the current owners. Pepperoni pizza perfect when cooked perfectly, however, especially on buy 1 get 1 free days the quality (freshness) is highly inconsistent, your pizza may sit there a long while before delivery (60 min wait, rarely any less). Finally decided to move on after several complaints and lack of appropriate response from the management on several occasions. Dreadful customer service. Received cold pizza (not the first time) and no refund or offer of replacement, merely annoyed questioning. Drinks have been missed several times. Happy to move my custom somewhere where it is appreciated.

Lovely kebabs, lamb shish, burgers and sides. We order from here often. They also have an app which is much cheaper than using the big delivery firms like just eat and deliveroo

Not what I expected from godfather to be honest ! I used to order from here all the time years ago it was amazing but it seems to have gone down hill pizza was cold and soggy , chips cold and soggy and sausage in the kids meal was so over cooked !

Food lukewarm when it arrived. Gave very long lead time to ensure delivery which was not a busy time on roads.

The food was ok but ordered a chicken burger with doner meat turned up with no doner meat in it phoned up to be told they can send out a pot of doner meat but would be 45 min I said that was no good and was told what can I do when I suggested give me some money back or I could leave a bad review the guy said do what you want if you want average food with terrible service this is the place

Excellent pizzas. Discounts every Thursday and Sunday for pizzas. I didn't like the kebabs.

Fantastic kebabs with lots of lovely fresh salad The staff are very polite and friendly even though they seem to be very busy I would highly recommend this place for a fantastic kebab treat. And the pizza they now serve is top notch and taste amazing.

Very disappointed with this service the last couple times we’ve ordered from here the food is always greasy and meat was hard pitta bread was full of grease chips cold won’t be ordering from here anymore! You can tell they have reheated it !

Would give one star for costumer service but I'll give 2 just because food was ok. Place still lives in stone ages as minimum order 5 quid when paying card. Won't be coming back here!

Visited this place today first and last time. Food was cold even if it was pick up and ate straight away at this place. My boyfriend ordered three things and asked to make it as a meal (so with drinks). In the end didn’t get drinks and when we politely asked, guy who works there was rude saying that he is busy now.

Over cooked pathetically small portion of kabab meat on garlic bread , it was so hard to chew you could snap it like a piece of crispy bacon for £5 . large kabab that had more coleslaw than meat and chips that tasted like they were stewed even though they were cooked fresh I certainly won’t be returning

It's been a great takeaway for at least thirty years. My extra large doner seemed a bit mean for £9.00.

I am a regular here and have been for years. Tried to make a order for delivery but they have up the minimum from the menu I have at £10 to £15 I was £3 under asked if I could make this one order at the old price and they would not bug I live 500 yards from them. Loyalty works both ways if they don’t respect there customers then I won’t be using them again. Pendik are a good place will use them from now on. Hate a company that puts money over customer loyalty

Godfather is our go to fast food for kebabs and burgers... It's good food, arrives fast and is decently priced. Usually we have no problems but our order tonight had a short black hair in one of the kebabs which totally put me off eating my food. Once you've seen a hair in it it's kinda hard to carry on eating. Such a shame.

Best take away around, chicken sandwiches are the best!

Well what a XL kebab I just had for £9 Horrible godfather, like rubbery cardboard. Try cutting off the meat to order when quite and not taking out of a tub you had it in for hours. Maybe you brought cheaper meat for the weekend. Different grades of donner meat you can buy and very different prices

Ordered a pizza, a doner wrap, and a large portion of chips. The doner wrap was one of the best I've had in the last few years (and believe me, I've tried most places in the Poole area), with really tasty and well seasoned doner meat, lots of fresh salad, and the best chilli sauce I've found anywhere in this area!!! Chips were perfectly cooked, and the pizza (that was for my daughter and her friend) looked fab too!! Overall, a very satisfying experience, and the price was very competitive too!!

One of the best takeaways in the whole area, and I don't normally go out of my way to rave about kebab/pizza places but this one needs to be mentioned. The kebabs are probably the best I've ever had; massive portion sizes and actually decent salad too. Pizzas are also decent. Not Italian Pizzeria stone-oven style, but still worth the investment and well cooked every time. I recently tried their 'chicken dippers' and they are insanely good in every way. Chicken is hit and miss with these kind of places but please just get them, don't even think twice. Should be one of the biggest items on the menu, I can't believe I've never bothered ordering them before, makes me wonder what other good stuff they do. Delivery is fast, food is hot, fresh, whatever... May they stay open forever

I' have gone here for years but recently got my order wrong a couple of times then last night order over £30 takeaway and rung them to let them know the chilli sauce was so hot 2 of us couldn't eat our meals we said wasn't looking for money back just advising them that since Saturday it had changed they was rude to my friend when he spoke to them so I rung to reiterate we wasn't wanting money back just giving them some advice as my mate has a hernia and he was in pain just maybe someone else had made it tonight and seeing as I had asked to speak to the manager was shock how rude he was said I was the first in 11 years to complain and and had a go I tried to reiterate we wasn't after our money back just advising them it was inedible to which I got told chilli sauce should be hot and I can go else where which I shall be I had their food a few days ago but supposedly it has always been as hot as last night which is not true no need to be so rude to people will never go back

I ordered meat. Came after 1 hour without chips or rice. The meat was old and could not be chewed. Late at night I got stomach pains and vomiting. Everything there is very dirty. And they never have fresh produce. I think it should be closed because it is dangerous to health.

Was a bit cautious about ordering but it's clearly the best by a mile, kebab wasn't greasy salad was fresh, burger was juicy and meaty, and pizza was lush thanks for keeping the standard up

I ordered the giant chicken sandwich meal and added lamb doner meat as an extra and it was amazing. Portion sizes are so good, quality of food is awesome and the guys are friendly. This is now my go to 👍

Dont order from here it's really really bad !! It took over 90mins to deliver and it was cold over cooked and the chips well they looked like they have been cooked in a volcano .. shocking isn't the word Would leave 0 stars but I cant !! Never used to be like this and that will be our last time ! Period ! Been using them for 20 years + but as I say never ever again Waste of money as had to throw it away . Avoid avoid avoid:(
