GOA SPICE in South Lakeland

Having tried to order food on multiple occasions between 2145 and 2155 they have bees closed. But it clearly states on their website they are open until 2200.I think they should adjust their closing times, to actual time they close. Instead of wasting people’s time

This is simply so bad it should be shut down. This would seriously but up there as one to avoid. Actually the town does not have good places to eat. There is 1 Indian thatvis 4 out of 5 but that's it. This place is simply should be shut down

We have been to Goa Spice many times as it is the best curry I have had in South Lakes including Kirkby Lonsdale, Kendal, Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside. People travel from Lancaster, Grange, Windermere etc that I know of to get the lovely Indian food this place has to offer. Prepare to que outside to receive your telephone order as this place is so good and popular. Can't wait to go back.

Ordered Butter Chicken and a Tandoori Mixed Grill. The butter chicken was all coconut, sickly and too sugary, the mixed grill had no prawns, lamb like rubber and although it was meant to be a dry dish, it arrived in a watery liquid. Avoid!

I ordered two meals twice from this place while my partner and I were staying in a nearby cottage for a week. The first meal was lovely hence we went back again the second time, however that wasn’t a nice experience as I spent 2 days in the A&E upon returning home to be told I had gasrintritus. I have been laid up in agony for four days now and this was the only 2 times we had eaten out. My partner seemed fine off the prawn balti. I bought chicken bhuna! I would definitely not recommend this indians. The chicken must of been totally off to make me as sick as I have been. It’s put me off Indian meals for life now. Disappointed is an understatement. Health and safety states 4 star well I’m not sure the last time the place was checked after serving me dodgy chicken like that. Definitely put me off my little holiday.

great to have a decent Indian take away in the area. the food is freshly cooked, while you watch and always very tasty, with a good selection of dishes. Just a shame they don't deliver!

Excellent fresh chicken corma. Loads of chicken. Nice sauce. Good, fast and polite service. Only 5 min wait. Walk in order

We ordered a lamb Rogan Josh, chicken Korma and an Asian Style Masala together with an Onion Bahji, Rice and Chips - our order was ready and waiting on time and we were greeted with a friendly smile - the food was delicious and hot and the lamb was tender - perfect 👍

We had Onion Bhaji which was burnt and dry, Chicken Tikka Biriani, The chicken was hard, Chana Masala a chick pea dish, no taste.. overall to sum it up, fit for the bin, not to eat. I have had takeaways from here quite a few times, was always nice, see my reviews. Now terrible.

These guys now how to make a good curry 100%, very nice friendly staff also. Lamb Khari is the best ........

Called Goa Spice at 1700 and placed an order for collection. Told it would be ready at 1800, fair enough. Turned up at 1800 to be told to wait outside and they would call us. 45 minutes later we were still waiting (along with 20 other frustrated people) on the street outside. The takeaway continued to take telephone orders in this time. Gave up after an hour and went for a chinese. An absolute s*** show of organisation and communication.

Tonight we treated ourselves to the wonderful Goa Spice Indian takeaway which has recently reopened. It’s easy to order, just text your order in advance with a requested collection time and they will confirm your order with an actual collection time. They text you when your order is ready and remind you that they only take cash. The food was even better that before packed with fresh vibrant flavours of the Far East and great value for money. As someone who was raised on curries, I was pretty excited to try this. Unfortunately the food here is lackluster, expensive (for what you get) and prepared in a kitchen that looks like it needs a good scrub. Disappointing.

ordered a take awy from here today, appreciate Saturday is very busy, but was shocked by the cooking practises. It looked like curry was being warmed in the pan, dished out in to the wraps and then taken back of the heat and left, I assume for the next time it is required. Worse was the fact that chicken pakoras are cooked in the same oil as veggie samoes amd onion bhajis not good if you are a vegetrian

Not the best,curry and rice watery and tasteless only visited as no 3 curry house around the corner was shut

Disappointing flavours. Soggy rice. Indian takeaways a bit thin on the ground so no doubt they keep busy but we won’t be using again.

They do a good selection that is fresh and tasty. ALways hot and cook all of the nams and Pops fresh to order.

One of the cleanest takeaway curry places I have ever encountered. Open kitchen where you can see the chefs preparing your food. I recommend the biryanis

if you can get past the rude guy taking orders - its a delight to watch these guys work in an open kitchen. The food was great, Biryani, Garlic Chilli Chicken are amazing! great find in such a small village

When we visited the Goa, it was so popular we had to wait half an hour for it to be freshly cooked. The staff were all dressed nicely in black uniforms with their heads covered, which was impressive to say the least. When we eventually got our food it was amazing. The spices and flavours were all delicious and hot. They will do special diets if asked, a truly professional outfit.

I ordered Chicken Madras with garlic nan, I got five pieces of chicken with spicy tomato sauce, just tomato sauce, no vegetables in it, no rice, and plain nan!

Lovely food it's not a restaurant it's a takeaway. Very reasonable. No delivery's available. Shuts at 10pm opens at 5pm biggest onion bhajees I've ever had try em there filling. Gaz Wensley york

I would highly recommend trying the naan bread wraps filled with a curry of your choice... the 'small ones' are a foot long!!!! Chicken pakora and samosa are better than at Raj

You've got to try the wraps from this place! Any curry of your choice wrapped in a naan bread. The 'small' is literally over a foot long!! And very reasonably priced too. Excellent flavour and quick service as well. Definitely going back for more👍

With serious competition form another Indian take away in the village, the Goa will no doubt be the preferred choice of others. Whilst the food is excellent the attitude of those taking the orders could do with a bit of polishing up. Otherwise no problem!

My family and I eat a lot of curry--the food at this takeaway has to be some of the best that we've ever eaten. A wonderful find!

We bought a selection of curry's and shared with friends and they were all lovely! Also their amazingly long kebabs are worth a try!

I've never had a dish from here but I have had their tikka wrap. It's so good! They make a wrap in a naan bread and it's huge! I've never seen this kind of kebab/wrap before but it's really popular.

I have used this takeaway on several occasions recently and on each occasion the food has been top quality.If you like Indian food then give it a go you won't be disappointed.

Nos dieron una comida para llevar desde aquí para cuatro adultos, una mezcla de carne y platos vegetarianos, arroz y pan. La comida era muy buena y el personal era muy amable. La cocina está en el frente, así que mire su comida preparadas mientras esperando que era un toque agradable.

Went back to goa spice again it was great as always just what i needed a great Indian foods just too good love coming back favorite Indian in milnthorpe!

Since opening I have been to Goa Spice a few times. The food is lovely and the staff helpful, ready to recommend a dish of you are spoilt for choice. Service is always swift too.

He intentado similares establecimientos para comer en la zona durante el último par de años, pero nos parecieron deficiente e incluso tenía a la temporada cuando llegué a casa. Cuando Goa Spice abrió probamos nuestros pedidos habituales primero para comparar y hemos sido básicamente volver cada semana desde que! Este es, de lejos, la mejor comida india que he probado. El personal es siempre amable y por mi tercera llamada de teléfono para pedir ya se acordó de mi nombre. El único inconveniente es que nuestras chino locales (que también es muy bueno de lo que hacen) ha perdido un montón de negocios debido a mí ir a Goa desde entonces.

I had to go again and i wasn't disappointed it was just amazing the dishes were made to perfection the goa dishes are just too good can't wait to go again and again!! Must try!!

Having used Goa Spice three times now since it recently opened, I am confident in saying finally we have a quality takeaway in the area. The owner is very friendly and helpful, the place is immaculate, all the kitchen staff who are on show cooking are smartly dressed, there is nothing hidden behind a closed door… Now the important bit, the food: My advice is try the Signature dishes, we have had ‘Rajastani Gosht’, which was really good, great pieces of Lamb, no gristle excellent flavour and good sized portions; ‘Roashai Chicken’, highly flavoured, in fact really quite spicy, again a unique taste, not just chicken in a carrier sauce, as many takeaways are! The biryani was full of flavour, plenty of Chicken, and you can choose what strength sauce you have with it. My daughter had the ‘Chicken Tikka Massala’, it was what you would expect… she said it was very nice. I have only one criticism, the Shami Kebab’ starter was flavourless.. Please don’t be put off by that. Great new takeaway, I really, really hope the current standard continues long into the future, and Goa Spice goes from strength to strength.

Best Indian by far. Iv been here a few times. The food is amazing. Highly recommended. Iv tried different meals and starters. Best food never tasted anything else like it.

Fabulous. Very clean. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food was great and full of flavour. I had my favourite Saag Gohst and it was the best yet. They have even promised to get fat chips in next time.

Estábamos acampar en la zona y fuimos a Milnthorpe para tomar algunos folletos comida para llevar. Decidimos probar una comida india para llevar y elegimos este. Optamos por el curry cena para dos en £21,95 , ya que estábamos celebrando nuestro aniversario de boda. Una gran selección de comida, generoso tamaño de las porciones (sería suficiente para tres adultos) y una buena relación calidad-precio.sólo una pequeña tienda, así que nos llamó seguir adelante con nuestra orden. Encantador y limpio, y puedes ver comida estar preparado. El personal era muy amable y servicial.

A warm welcome and immaculately clean kitchen and staff got our visit off to a great start. The food was freshly prepared in the open kichen and looked and tasted delicious. Definitely worth returning for... again and again!

Aparentemente este indio sólo abrir la semana pasada. El personal es amable, muy lindo ver a los chefs cocinar la comida fresca en frente de usted en la cocina abierta y hasta los curries desde cero! Me impresionó mucho, la comida era preciosa. Sin duda lo recomiendo. Una nueva adición a milnthorpe.

Esta noche tuve el placer de visitar el último spice recién inaugurada Goa en milnthorpe ... Cuando nos recibió el personal era amable y bien cuidado ... el ambiente interior era relajado y para rematar la comida fue fenomenal! Nunca he tenido Indian tan bueno como este en mi vida
