Wow. What a wonderful experience we have had at the Glen Mohr hotel! Our trip was a mix of business and leisure, we were a couple of adults and we had a pleasure of using all the facilities, including Waterside restaurant and taproom at the distillery/brewery. The only thing we have not done was the tour of the distillery but we are going to do it next time, when hopefully we will be there on holiday exclusively. I think this hotel is seriously underrated. I cannot understand some of the comments about lack of elevators or small attic windows. This is a complex of historical buildings/town houses and as such it is its charm that it differs from sterile, soulless hotel chains. I visited Glen Mohr few years ago, before the general refurb, and even then, I was totally enchanted by the distinct atmosphere of staying in an old, period town house. Our Room was very clean, spacious, shower had a good pressure (minor snag was that sometimes despite a thermostat temperature would suddenly drop or rise, to certain extend scalding hazard), sofa was very comfortable. TV had access to smart features like streaming services, which is not always available in chain hotels. There was an ironing board, good amount of hangers, drawers to store your possessions and there was also a hair dryer. Tea/coffee making facilities were basic but sufficient. I am impressed with the work that was done on the rooms - that tartan carpet is so soft and lush! I loved it. Bed was comfortable, pillows maybe a bit too hard to my liking. We were upgraded to a “deluxe river view” room without any extra charge. I am not sure what the double one looks like but I was pleased with the size and furnishing of the room as described above. However, I can understand why somebody can be disappointed at “river view”. We were in the attic room in a turret/tower and river view window was tiny. It did not really bother us and we enjoyed romantic ambience but maybe worth considering dropping a “river view” from description so other guests are not disappointed. Hotel was very quiet, we slept really well and felt safe as well. It is a walking distance to city centre and nearby river Ness walks. Big shout out to the staff: reception could not be more helpful and housekeeping kept our room lovely and clean. Heating was also really good. I will give a separate review to the Waterside restaurant and a taproom as they really deserve their own 5/5. I hope your rating will go up soon. We were very pleased with our stay and will definitely stay in Glen Mohr again if visiting Inverness 🙂

We stayed in their deluxe, large, riverview room looking out onto the river Ness - if you're lucky you may see the Seal in the river. This is set in a separate building with 2 large, comfortable longes - leather chairs and setees and 1 featuring a grand piano. Our room had very comfotable twin beds, leather tub chairs and large adjustable TV. A coffee capsule was provide alongside the usual kettle and tea/coffe facility. Dressing gowns and slippers were provided but not used as was the iron and ironing board. We only stayed 2 nights but if staying longer these would be useful.

Not the cheapest of rooms in the area, but certainly value for money! Hotel is beautiful, rooms spacious, great facilities….but what really sets the hotel apart from others is the service - exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful!

Beds not of a good quality. Rooms booked Breakfast included, manager confirmed at check-in, next day we're told breakfast is not included. We were offered free but too upset to take it ... overall below average experience after high expectations. Not enough to ruin my sons graduation ceremony. Unfortunate hotel experience in a beautiful town and special day for family.

Beautiful room, great location! Wish the wifi was better, but overall found this to be a really cute find right outside the heart of the city center. No AC but visited at a good time of the year so wasn’t a problem ◡̈ would definitely book again!!

In terms of location, the hotel is very ideal. Short distances to the city center. The room service left a lot to be desired. The toilet and bathroom were not cleaned during our 5 day stay. If room service had cleaned the toilet, they would certainly have noticed that the flush wasn't working properly. The trash cans in the room were not emptied either, they were full to the brim. The breakfast was okay and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Make sure you ask for water facing room. We got room.in waterside building but room was facing a bunch of vents and smoke exhausts. The noise was not nice and the feeling that you are getting smoke air was bad. Other than that,Location is great. Walking distance from city centre. Room is okayish (not fancy but fine enough for a comfortable stay).

Very nice and large hotel as a basecamp to explore the Highlands. Loch Ness is around the corner as are some very nice beaches. Don’t forgot to have lunch at iv10 in Fortrose and dinner at the Mustard Seed in Inverness!

This hotel has the potential to be great. It's a lovely building in a great location with a brewery attached. However, the bed in our room was terrible. The mattress was lumpy, the divan made such a loud noise every time I moved that it woke us up and the sheets don't fit so they end up in a tangled mess. We complained after the first night and they said they would send someone to fix it. I requested a room change if that couldn't be done. I checked that afternoon whether the bed had been fixed and was told yes. We went to bed that night and nothing had changed. There are no phones in the rooms and our room was in a separate building so we would have had to get dressed to go to reception again. We complained again the next day and asked to speak to the manager, who wasn't available. The receptionist said that she'd pass the message on. We stayed 4 nights (prepaid!) and each day we complained. When we finally spoke to the manager on check out he wasn't aware of any prior complaints but seemed to be aware of the lumpy mattresses and noisy divans! We were told we wouldn't have been able to change rooms as none were available of the type that we had paid for! We were basically told that it was on us to ensure that we followed up on complaints as the staff have no way of checking in with guests! I didn't go away for the weekend to do their job for them. When we previously stayed in this hotel it was lovely which was why we returned. If you are considering staying at this hotel please check first that they have bought new beds and sheets that fit. I've never been so happy to get home to a good night's sleep in my life!

Spent our 25th anniversary touring Scotland and spent actual anniversary night here for two days. Hotel had great parking and amenities. Loved the apartment concept and views of River Ness and sunsets. Had food and drink within minute walk. Also about 5min walk to downtown with shops and more food. Was excellent location to stay and enjoy downtown Inverness. Thanks and keep up good work.

Rooms are OK (bed a little hard). Some of the breakfast staff were quite stroppy and rude. Breakfast itself is disappointing, however the coffee is off the chart bad.

If you order a Whiskey here, the price could easily have increased 100% the next day, they have a lot of whiskeys, but the staff behind the bar is uninterested and has no knowledge at all about whiskey. All in all, not recommended.

The hotel Glen Mhor is located right next to the river in Inverness and is a family run hotel. It is the same family that since 2022 runs the distillery and brewery right next to the hotel. The rooms are very well maintained and the check in was very easy and everybody was super friendly. I can definitely recommend staying here when traveling to Inverness and especially if you want to make a tour through the distillery and brewery. There is a big parking lot in the back of the hotel.

I got the single room at Waterside. The room seemed very dilapidated. The toilet was no longer properly attached to the wall, the shower door was broken, the bed as well as the floor creaked, there were marks all over the walls and if you didn't unplug the TV, it would automatically sound after a while on again. The only good thing was the location and the fact that the hotel is attached to a small and very fine distillery.

Excellent location, Came back here for a second stay 5 years later and it was good but there was no hot water which meant no heating or showers. Sadly I made reception aware of this and was told "oh yes you are not the only one! No one has hot water!". If they expect people to pay £120 a night with out heating or shower with no compensation sadly I don't think this hotel will be with us much longer

We stayed in the Waterside building just above the restaurant in a two bedroom apartment with view on the river. The apartment was big, the bathroom clean, very good shower power and super comfortable beds as well as pillows. The location is unbeatable and the breakfast was delicious with plenty choices to choose from. I thought the rate was also reasonable for what how good the place is. The main building with the brewery is amazing. It really exceeded expectations and I can't wait to be back. Thanks.

cozy. I stayed in a single room, which was decorated in beautiful colors and had all the living facilities, including a bathtub. The TV works great too. The only inconvenience is the two faucets, one is too hot and the other is too cold. Sometimes it is difficult to adjust the desired warm water. There would be noise outside the door around 10 o'clock in the morning, and one day the sound of the vacuum cleaner was deafening for a long time. . . Overall, it was a good stay. The guy at the front desk the night I checked in was very professional and friendly!

Had a river view room in the Alexander building. This gives excellent river views and allows for some people watching as well. The evening meal was lovely, well presented and served. All the staff were consistently helpful and polite and are a credit to the hotel. We hope to return again soon. Highly recommend.

Arrived at 1300 having just got off the train. Receptionists at front desk advised that check in was 4pm and we could not get in earlier. Advised to leave luggage in open lounge area, no tags no security measures in place to ensure safety. On return we were sent to the back of beyond overlooking the bin area. The stairs to our room were uneven and hand rail at top of stairs was loose. Floor had multiple trip hazards along the route. Room was clean but bed springs poked into back that I went home in pain. No chairs in room just a small stool. The shower if you are of a merger body type was a bit of a squeeze. Breakfast buffet was adequate and service was reasonable. Although getting coffee was a challenge at times to get the servers attention. Advised reception of issues with bed and stair rail but didn’t seem interested or offer any reduction in price. I wouldn’t plan a return visit to this hotel despite it being right on the river.

My local bar when I'm in Inverness and although it's not the most glamorous of places, it's got plenty of screens for the sport, a beer garden with play area for kids, a pool table (which is free on Mondays and Tuesdays!) and good craic with the regulars.
