Glasgow Cakes in Glasgow City

My first time ordering a cake from here - and I've never ordered a custom cake before! The customer service was a little slow but I can understand the business is busy, however extremely polite when I contacted them and ensured I'm happy and asked for lots of details about my cake to get it just right! The cake was PERFECT. Exactly like the picture I showed, and the design was not easy! The cake itself was also so delicious, moist and flavourful, and it's lasted a while in the fridge which is even better! Thank you very much!

I received a box of valentines cupcakes which were pre-ordered in advance to pick up on February 14th. The cakes looked beautiful and the buttercream icing was nice but the actual cake was stale like a brick and must have been baked at least a week prior to the date they were required for. I understand valentines must be a busy time for this kind of business but don’t accept orders if you are not willing to put in the work, cutting corners that seriously affect the quality of the product. I am pregnant and all I wanted for Valentine’s Day was freshly baked cupcakes, I was so disappointed to find the lovely looking cakes were stale.

The staff were brilliant was very helpful and patient while i was picking the cake, they executed it perfectly the cake looked stunning and tasted just as good as it looked, would recommend for anyone looking to get a good cake for a good price and great service

My wife buys cakes from here all the time and recently I joined her. Wow these filled cookies are something else!

saw this place advertised on instagram by a couple of mutuals on social media and through passing and thought I’d check it out myself for my partner’s birthday that was due the following month I requested a order of cupcakes they positivity agreed to take my order and asked for personalisation details however nearer the date I needed the order put in place they never contacted me confirming if they had made the cakes or not and I was unsure if I was needing to chase up the order which meant I no longer had any special treats for my partner’s upcoming birthday celebrations and was deeply disappointed by the service.

Ordered a cake for my husbands 40th months ago. I had no communication from the date of order till the run up to his birthday. And that was because I contacted them. I sent a friendly message of ‘hello, looking forward to the cake, let me know a final price please’ etc etc. The reply I got was the price and price alone. No hello, nothing. Customers keep your business afloat, even a child has better manners. The cake might have looked good but it certainty didn’t taste it. Sponge was so dense and heavy. I probably would’ve let that slide had it not been for the shocking customer service.

If i could give more than 5 stars i would! The best Cakes and the Staff are so friendly.

Over the moon with the birthday cake I ordered! The design turned out exactly like the inspiration picture I sent over and most importantly it tasted absolutely amazing. The ordering process was straightforward and the price was very reasonable . I will definitely use again for future events.

First time ordering and was very easy to do so! The service from staff was pleasant and they provided the most beautiful cake ever! The cake itself was very soft and delicious, it went down as a treat with all our guests! Also picked up one of the Dubai Chocolate Cake Jar which was also amazing!

i had ordered my mum’s graduation cake from here earlier this month and am so happy with how it turned out! we ordered the chocolate flavour and it was delicious too. mum says it’s her favourite cake to date so thank you! it was perfect :)

Glasgow Cakes are brilliant and I would highly recommend. They have put my vision into reality for my little girls Two Infinity & Beyond Theme. The attention to detail is spectacular and the sponge is fresh and fluffy. Glasgow Cakes are great with communication and answer any queries you may have. Their shop is bright, clean and welcoming. Visited for the first time today after viewing this place of Instagram. Travelled from Edinburgh and so disappointed with the selection and quality of the items. We purchased a matilda cake slice for £6.50. The chocolate cake had a weird tinge to it and tasted like dark or cheap chocolate. It was really dry aswell. Other reviews have complained about dry and poor cake but I thought I would review it for myself. We also purchased a 15 piece dessert shot selection box for £15. Price was a bit excessive. The shots were poor and very bland. Really not worth the money. A bit angry at the quality of these. To be honest the place is over rated. Owner was was also in and didn't even acknowledge us. Customers are your bread and butter, a hello or thank you goes a long way and adds to the customer service aspect of the customers experience.

Have ordered twice and both times the order was incorrect. I ordered a chocolate cake for my niece's birthday and they made vanilla. Although the design was beautiful on the outside. They didn't inform me in advance and provided chocolate cake pops on the day when my sister collected, but the birthday girl did not eat her own cake because it wasn't what she asked for. The second time I ordered chocolate cupcakes, which my sister loves from this store. I got vanilla cupcakes. They did provide the cupcakes for free and refunded what I paid, plus provided 2 chocolate cupcakes for free. Overall, great place for walk in orders but I stopped placing orders for important events because I would really rather get what I requested.

Excellent cake, beautiful decoration and great service ! Needed to change the date of collection to much sooner than expected and they were so accommodating! 10/10.

The old school cake is the best I’ve tried and that gets a 5*. The viral Dubai chocolate bars at £7 would be worth it, however, I purchased 2 last week and they were very soft. I then went home and put them in the fridge for a couple of hours to harden but it was still very soft (bearing in mind there was no issues with the fridge setting). I then proceeded to place it in the freezer for around 30-45 minutes and it was just about right (but again, melted very quickly). I was told this is because the chocolate hadn’t been tempered. Not the best experience but something that the business can look in to improving while the hype lasts, inshaAllah XO

What an amazing place 😍😍 we are visiting from Spain and we had the pleasure of walking past this place and stopping in. Super friendly people, and oh my god the blondie and cookie were next level yum!! We will definitely be coming back at some point 😀 highly recommend!

Ordered a 3 0 birthday cake from Glasgow Cakes. They were very easy to speak with and make the order, and most importantly the cake was absolutely delicious! Chocolate cake with chocolate orange buttercream filling. Had a lot of compliments about it from all the guests. The buttercream icing is a great texture and not too sweet. Macarons were very tasty. I would definitely recommend.

Ordered my wedding cake from here and definitely made the right choice. All staff are very professional and listen to what you want. The cake was amazing, delicious and detailed. Amazing, reasonably priced cake for my mum’s 60th birthday. Really responsive and kind staff, they took quite a vague brief and came up with something beautiful with only about 3 weeks notice. They also provided a personalise cake topper to put into the cake as well (not pictured). Many thanks.

Tasted one of the New Year cakes last night at a friend’s house. Fresh cream, fruit, light sponge and general deliciousness made this a huge hit. We’ll be visiting!

Very expensive and not a lot to choose from. Apparently if I went back on Thursday I would have a better choice. It was Monday and I was there then not Thursday.

Personally the cupcakes were dry and not the best tasting for me, but i loved the brownies and the tray bake cake, I would defos go back for more! thanks

I was disappointed with the false advertisement stating there was 50% OF ALL BAKERY for charity this Saturday. Normal price for cupcakes box of 4 are £10 Price on charity day £8, that's for from 50% That was just one example but literally everything on the menu was nowhere near the 50%. As it was for charity I still paid but was unhappy. Cakes were dry and not off good quality only thing I would say was good was the butter cream.

The moistest cake pops, old school cake and cupcakes ever. Not too sweet, just right! A very crisp, fresh and bright shop too. Large variety of cakes and sweet treats and a really good hot chocolate to be drank also! X

Really really good fudgy brownies with interesting flavours. Had a cupcake as well and it was one of the nicest I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!
