Always lie about the time you have to wait.Reheated,chips,the fish is about the worst I've ever had,threw the lot to the seagulls.will never shop at this place again. First time,the fish was not even cod. Never learned my lesson from first visit.certainly have this time.give it a wide birth from now on.not even worth one star.

Worst fish n chips ever served in wales.meal Vile.must be new owners,sell absolute horrendous fish n chips,charge top prices. Second visit,since coming home in september.did not learn anything from first visit when I thought I was ripped off on the fish I bought.i asked for cod,think I was sold pollock,big mistake.just popped in tonight, chips were reheated left over from his knows when and the fish was cod but of poor quality. Will never visit this chip shop again.they always lie about how long it will be.Do yourself a huge favour and give this chippy a miss.

Excellent food. Not your normal greasy chips and fish. Very tasty.

Now under new ownership, the food here is horrible, they no longer serve pukka pies, just some cheap version (at the same more expensive price to the customer) also Holland Steak and kidney pudding isn't Holland, cheaper version tasted disgusting, wouldn't even like to think what the fish tastes like, cold and greasy, definitely not going back.

Have you changed ownership? Today your usually very nice food was frankly awful, apparently you no longer serve pukka pies, obliviously because your serving a cheaper ( not to the customer) pudgy version, also the hollands S & K pudding wasn't hollands as it tasted awful and had no meat in it (cheaper copy?) Used to be a dedicated repeat customer, but won't be back for your cold cheap food.

Was devastated to find out the original owners had left, the new owner couldn’t work the till and has changed so many things, the food is disgusting now! The onion gravy and the fish cooked in beef dripping was what made the place unique and I was there fortnightly but now I’ll find elsewhere

Best fish & chips I've ever tasted

Ordered 4 scallops they was raw in the middle gravy and curry Luke warm pies warmed up in microwave and chips to white in Colorwere they ve been bleached way to much and hard in the middle staff were quite rude too better 2 chippies round the corner and cheaper wouldn’t waste ur money plus small portions

We get fish & chips from when we are at work about 3 times a month, best in the area allways good, cooked to order what more can I say.

Just had the worst meal in my life we orderd 2 fish and chips chips were as grease taste like they have been sat in the fryer all day then warmed up the fish I was told was freshly cooked it took 3 minutes to cook it was a horrible taste and cost 11.40 what a waste of my hard earned money I cooked of saved that when I phoned to complain they said it was fresh I told them it was horrible

First ever visit to this place it was fantastic really enjoyed the fish&chips we had and staff were excellent cooked whilst we waited excellent will go again now found when come to rhyl again

Been going here for the last 3 years and food is always good whether it's fish or pies. The large cod is enormous and even a big eater would struggle with it! They cook a variety of fish and are so thorough that I saw a thick piece of fish being checked with a thermometer to ensure it was cooked through thoroughly. The shop is spotless and the staff are always friendly. There is a wide selection of menu options and it's always good quality. Would strongly recommend.

Definently not a community chip shop

We live in the area and come here on a regular basis,summer & winter. Every time we've had chips,fish,pies etc they've always been just cooked and really tasty.Reading some of the negative reviews I really don't understand them,perhaps people aren't used to (Traditionally) cooked chips anymore lol... either way I've been to ALL the chippy's in the area and GJ's is the best by a mile....

My dad says best fish he ever had , we are regulars . Proper mushy peas. Very clean and lovely staff , pea fritters yummy. Highly recommend .

Went into here to fetch the wife mini cod, chips and curry sauce..I just had a bag of chips..

We were out for a family day at the fair and popped in for some chips. Great service best chips I’ve ever tasted very clean shop and chatty shop assistants.

We called in on Bank holiday Monday. We all got fish and chips. My husband ordered the large fish.... It was huge 😁 Really friendly service and the food was excellent. Defiantly the best we have had in years.

Called here and wow what a lovely clean shop it was spotless, the staff were very pleasant welcoming and very friendly, the fish was the best fish I’ve tasted and the chips were amazing too, I had a tub of gravy and peas and omg that’s the best gravy ever and peas were awesome, I would well recommend this place for anyone visiting or passing through Kinmel bay, well done to them all

Thought we would have tea save cooking.....sorry to say looks like iam cooking.... Peas watery and bland and the chips are RAW...... The place itself is lovely and clean, and the staff are always welcoming and nice, such a shame.

We called here got some fish, chips, scallops, curry sauce, peas to take away and eat close by the sea front over the road, and we all ended up throwing it in the bin and going elsewhere for a meal as food was worst chippy food we had experienced in North Wales, chips tasted horrible, curry was so watered down tasted yuk, fish greasy batter, just so poor hard to imagine who actually enjoys food of this standard, not so cheap for bin food.

Cant say much. Came to sea side for fish n chips. Tastes of old fat. Stingy portions. Heavy dry bread rolls. Kebab meat bought frozen. No pitta bread left. Soggy pickled onion. Just taste of old fat in mouth. Went in the bin. Feel robbed. Who the hell gave positive reviews.

We always use this chip shop when on holiday. Food is always fantastic, fresh and hot! By far the best chip shop in the area. Prices are really good too.

He estado yendo a este "fish and chips" desde que abrió sus puertas hace más de un año y debo decir que es el mejor "fish and chips" este lado de Conwy. Yo optaría por un pescado ligeramente con mantequilla, patatas fritas y un cartón de guisantes blandos y es absolutamente precioso, si te gusta un panecillo chip y como una gran porción también recomendaría el chip también grandes pab

Recientemente nos alojamos en una caravana cerca, tomamos té desde aquí cada noche. Menú variado, pero chips y salsa imprescindible. . . Con lo que sea!. Patatas fritas y salsa de hija tenía salchichas cada noche. Su Cod es casi perfecto, masa delgada, bonita filetes tamaño, el chili con carne, es hermosa, y las costillas dulces pegajosos son preciosas! Tartas (con patatas fritas y salsa de campo) son muy sabrosas. Mencioné la salsa? ? No puedo esperar a volver.

Wow this place certainly is the nicest chip shop I've ever been in, it's so clean and tidy and very very friendly staff, the food is fantastic, the cod is to die for it really is and everything is value for money indeed, I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone and must say it's well worth a visit, lovely location to across from the sea

We were in Towyn visiting family and could really be bothered going for a pub meal so fish and chips it was What can I say superb fresh cod and to die for chips ,oh and the enevitable mushy peas
