I came here 2 days in a row at different times . The first night I ordered the whole catfish, stuffing and Cole slaw. Amazing!! I was eating with such delight I had to close my eyes to savor every flavor. My meal Was simply delicious. Downside is whatever roll I was given was chewy and not appealing to my taste buds. 2nd day I had the jalapeño pepper burger with fries and chicken pot pie soup. That chicken pot pie had potatoes, carrots, string beans peas, onions and some kind of broth. It is a must try!! U will not be disappointed!! I tried the cheeseburger soup… exquisite!!! The staff is welcoming . I had the pleasure of talking to Jerry ,one of the many mangers, he’s in charge of the soups!! Shout out to him for satisfaction guaranteed!

I don't get the chance to eat here very much. It's quite out of the way for us. The food has always been well prepared and plentiful. The server was attentive and efficient. I've only ever eaten breakfast here, but I wouldn't hesitate to eat here for lunch or supper. Good restaurant with a long history in St. Charles. Highly recommended.

All in all OK. The staff were good, but not amazing (occasional long periods between checkins/drinks running dry), but were personable and helpful for the most part. They didn't know the specials of the day or what pies/cobblers were in stock at the beginning of their shift -- seems like something that they'd cover at the start of the shift/rush with the kitchen. Food and ambiance felt large-chain mediocre. It wasn't bad, but neither was it particularly good. I realize this isn't a large, American chain, but it felt that way for some reason. We left with the impression that we weren't happy for having eaten there, but that it wasn't bad in any distinct way either. It was just sort-of meh. We won't likely go back unless were in the area already and can't find promise of anything better.

Had their locally famous "country fried steak omelet". Properly cooked omelet with lightly breaded tender cube steak bites throughout the omelet. The omelet is topped with a rich white gravy that was just thick enough to stay with your bite of food once cutting into it. Good service, also the pancakes were nice and fluffy.

This place is the best in town. The only drawback would be that it can be very busy.

There's so much I want to try from here and the prices aren't bad especially now a days. Every time we go there's been a wait. But we're not in a rush. The servers are attentive for as busy as it is and the food is delicious and plentiful. We always have enough left over for another meal which is well worth the money.

Had dinner here tonight and the food was great. Pot roast, mashed potatoes and carrots. The beef was very tender and the portions were large. Would recommend.

Delicious food (we went for breakfast), great prices, and great service. We got pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Everything tasted great. Bacon was perfect- I don't like it really crispy.

I am presently handicap with a broken hip and had no problem with parking, entrance, and seating. Excellent food and great personnel. The only problem I had was that the okra was the worst I have ever had, both mine and my partners. Everything else was 5 stars!!

This is such a neat place, and the food could have come straight from Grandma's table. Delicious! Very friendly staff. They may not have rocking chairs and over sized checkers, but they are by far better flavor and variety than any others.

We had an appetizer sampler with like 5 things; the wife had eggs/bacon/pancakes, and I had the pot roast melt. Everything about it was fantastic. It was good, it was fast, and it didn't break the bank. 110% coming back soon.

This is a restaurant that many know in the Saint Charles MO area. The atmosphere, service, and general allover experience was wonderful. The food is usually on point. Like every place it does have its not so great days. I recently tried their chicken strip dinner with a salad and mac and cheese. The chicken was wonderfully cooked, it was very juicy. The salad was good, but not their best. The mac and cheese was just okay. Once I put some salt and pepper in it that helped some. But do yourself a favor and go check this place out.

Waitress was very friendly and all smiles sat at bar service was wonderful.

Had an All American breakfast. It was fantastic. Wish I had taken pic to share. Will stop again some day while traveling thru St Louis.

Well-made high quality food, reasonably priced. Hash browns: perfectly golden, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Not too greasy, not too dry. Nice flavor. Eggs Florentine: poached eggs were perfect. Runny just in the very center of the yolk, not all wet and slimy like other places. English muffin was thick and fluffy, toasted just right. Perfect balance of ingredients. Only thing that could be improved is the hollandaise sauce (people struggle with this one). It was broken (clarified butter was probably just too hot when it was added) and it could use a splash more lemon juice and some hot sauce, but still entirely edible. My mother-in-law had a scrambled egg, bacon, toast, and hash browns. She didn't go into as much detail as me but said it was really good and well made.

It was my first time there. The service was very good. The waitress was very efficient and helpful with picking things to eat. My friend had chicken provincial and I had a appetizer platter with livers fried mushrooms, t ravs and sweet corn nuggets. Everything was delicious. the atmosphere is very casual and comfortable. I also found out it's open 24 hours a day so I'm definitely coming back

The mashed potatoes are yummy. Brian brought me extra pickles. I have a sore back, and first, they seated us at a table with hard wood chairs. I explained about my back and asked if we could sit in a booth, and they said yes and let us sit in a booth behind us.

First time there and will be my last time. The only food that was good was the corn bread muffin and the soda. I got the chicken cordon blue was thin piece of chicken with cheap lunch meat ham covered in a bland sauce. The mashed potatoes were ok and the corn was an about 2 tablespoonfuls with no butter or seasonings and mushy. The cheese sticks are ok but $9.00 for five is not worth it. My daughter got the chicken fried steak it was a small portion with about 10-15 fries on the plate. Spent $52.00 and was the worst food I ever had just terrible.

Ginghams is a long time staple. They moved locations sometime in the last 8 years. Still delivering consistent quality from their expansive diner menu. My parents ask to eat here every time they drive 5 hours to visit. Happy face pancake, ham and lotsa cheese omelet, fried chicken, sampler plate, open face meatoaf, fresh pies..you name it. The ranch dressing is fresh and homemade. Open all the time and usually busy. Breakfast, brunch, after party? Do Ginghams.

I have been coming to Gingham's for over 20 years and their food is some of the best in town. One of the few, local, and wonderful alternatives to the big chain restaurants that seem to dominate the St. Louis area. Their fried chicken is outstanding, and it's the only restaurant that comes close to the way my grandmother used to make it! At the old location, some years ago, the service could be slow at times, but they have fixed that issue and the service is now quick and friendly. Do yourself a favor and try this place if you like good American comfort food.

I saw a roach on my table during my last visit. The employee I spoke with admitted it's been a common issue for a while that they've been dealing with. They regularly have an exterminator treat the restaurant, but they're still seeing them often. I am so disappointed, as this is a decent place and I enjoy coming with my husband. We won't be back for a long time. Hopefully they can get this under control soon.

Absolutely fantastic, 24 hour restaurant, great food, their menu is about an inch thick, they'll make you anything, any time. Great for nightshift folks who have a night off and want a burger and fries at 3am.

Ginghams is absolutely amazing The staff goes out of the way to treat everybody great and make the atmosphere welcoming. The food I can't even explain how delicious the food is and I've had numerous things there. Nothing has ever upset me

What I like about ginghams is the versatility. You can get gingham in a large variety of colors, red, yellow, green, and many shades of blue, be it light blue, royal blue, navy blue, or cornflower blue, just to name a few. I suppose gingham is like tartan's plainer cousin, although I can't imagine there is anything wrong with a nice two-tone pink kilt to wear in the Scottish Highlands, tossing boulders or telephone poles, and or whatever else it is that they pass the time with in Scotia. So, I say NO! Gingham is not just for tablecloths and the occasional stuffed dog. You can get your gingham and sew to your hearts content, be it dresses, shirts, dress shirts, pants, vest, ties, socks, shorts, scarves and shawls, blouses, hats, skirts, etc. Also don't forget cumberbuns and spats. I'm sure you can come up with a googal of gingham goods. Now I am sure you are ready to join me for a huge hip, hip, hurray! for gingham!

Came in late 10:30 after getting off work. I had a call in order, the date was 8/14. I ordered the Fried chicken green beans and stuffing. I ate 1 piece of chicken it looked dark but I just thought it was the grease, wrong! My chicken was burnt. I didn't check the bag because I was tired, hungry, and ready to go home. And the stuffing is exactly that it's Stove Top(lets get some real cornbread dressing) . I put in the fridge and it was there for a day or two untouched until my wife said "I know youre not eating that food its burnt" I tried to convince myself that I would eat it but she had to bring me down to reality. I spent 15.17 for trash, it would have been more but I used my rewards. Would have been 12.17 but I left a 3.00 tip. I was lucky that my wife had some leftovers from her dinner. We normally get breakfast food or chicken and waffles and it's good,fresh and seasoned. So you can tell I'm a bit disappointed. C'mon Ginghams, let's get to the quality and stay there. This is not to bad talk the restaurant because I will return, i just would like for you to stay consistent with the quality of food that you've always served. Thank you

Yoooo, I'm so glad me and the hubby finally made our way out to Gingham's!! For the parking lot to be packed and people making their own parking spots, we thought it was gonna be a shit show frfr...but when we walked in, it took less than 8mins for us to be lead to our booth and introduced to our server May(her smile, friendliness and how attentiveness was everything). We got the menu and I was overwhelmed cuz damn, it's soo much to choose from and although it was 12:32am, we both needed breakfast lol. I went with the Country Fried Steak Omelette w/pancakes & hubby got the Philly Steak Omelette w/pancakes & a side of whipped cream & it took abt 24mins for our food to be ready....NO DISAPPOINTMENTS AT ALL!! Look, it's been a min since I've had a worthy 🥞-let alone finished a plate of em but these were thoroughly cooked w/the perfect color & fluffy AF🥹 and came with warm syrup...annndddd wit a 20% tip, we still spent less than $50! Needless to say, we'll be back sooner than later for sure

Editing my review: this place has gone so far downhill, it’s so sad. We’ve stopped going after being regulars for years because of the poor food quality. Consistently undercooked fries, my mom bit into a patty melt and grease ran down her arm, we got pancakes that were burned burned black on one side, just a whole slew of bad food experiences. The staff is very nice, it’s nothing against them, but the food quality has gone down and the prices have gone up so we no longer go there. I hope they go back to being reliable at some point! My family and I love this place! My boyfriend and I go here all the time. The food is always awesome and the staff is always friendly! I highly suggest their peanut butter pancakes!

Stopped to eat here as my husband's friend suggested it. Delicious, home style food. We had Delicious lasagna!! Homey atmosphere and great food!! Did i mention the pie!! So good!!!!

It's a diner; it's a restaurant. It's better than Denny's or similar. Full of good, well prepared comfort food. Get breakfast for dinner, or a burger for breakfast. Anything, anytime of day or night, and the staff is always friendly and attentive.

Asked for a kids menu because of stomach surgery. Have a doctors card asking to allow children's portion. Server says i need to get manager approval. Manager came to table, showed card & manager said ok but it will be $6 & change. You can order the same thing ala carte for less than $5.50. I told manager it's not the money but the principal. Very poor customer service & shame on ginghams for not taking care of customers. I've been going there over 20 years & today felt like ginghams didn't want me as a customer 😕

My group came in to have a late dinner after a concert last night. I love that they’re open 24 hours, very convenient. The food was really good and brought out quickly! Our server Lina (or Lena maybe? Having trouble remembering her name) was an absolute doll. She was fast and very kind! Love this joint, we’d stop in more often if we lived closer

Been working here for a few weeks now. It is by far one of the best jobs that I have ever had and I could not be more appreciative to say that I work here!

Today was our first visit to this busy and apparently popular restaurant. We had potato skins, the extreme chicken sandwich, and the philly.... all were tasty but would have benefitted from a bit more seasoning. Our server Madalyn did a great job, especially given that she was six months pregnant and the place was hopping. The portions are big so we both have lunch for tomorrow! You are greeted with many dessert choices as you enter. Next time, we might have to start with pie since we were way too full even with eating only half our meals. I also appreciate that this restaurant participated in the Giveameal App program, contributing food to neighbors in need. That alone would increase the chances that I'd come back next time we're in the area.

We rate the food a firm#10. We ordered chicken Philly and corned beef sandwich. The mustard potato salad was good too

I always get frustrated at restaurants because I can never have the fruit bowl because of my allergy to pineapples. I had asked my server if their fruit bowl contains pineapple and he said yes but he offered to check in the back to see if they would be willing to just cut up other fruit for me so that I can have a bowl of fruit outside of the mix they already had. He checked and they said yes and I got to have my bowl of fruit which I have not been able to have in a restaurant for years. I'm so appreciative of their attention and care of their patrons

We went on a Wednesday, which was senior discount day. We did not have to wait long, even though it was lunchtime, and they were very busy. We ordered breakfast food and it was delicious!! Best biscuits and gravy I've had in a long time. The servings were generous, and reasonably priced. You won't leave hungry!!

Man I cannot sing their praises enough. I love diner food and they are the best. Their menu is huge and packed with awesome stuff like Italian biscuits and gravy and Irish eggs Benedict. Just had their country steak omelette and it blew my socks off. That's fried bits of pork steak inside an omelet. Cheesy and still crunchy ... I don't know how they do it. Their staff is always friendly. The place is clean. Great pie selection. I seriously love coming here. The food is so good. And you can reserve a spot online through Google maps, which is super convenient on Sundays. I gave them three stars for atmosphere because ... Well, it's just a Nice diner. I can't imagine a diner that would be deserving of five stars for atmosphere. Anyway, give them a shot, you won't regret it.

Toooo Much Salt on practically everything especially the potatoes they serve for breakfast GRAVY was pure salt I’m sorry to post this but TRUE please get off the salt shaker otherwise GINGHAM’S is 💯. 💙💙💙

I don't know what happened recently but their food has really gone downhill. Service was pretty mediocre as well, waited for way too long just to get to-go boxes. As much as I really loved eating there, this last visit has soured me some.
