Very congenial evening in pleasant surroundings and attentive staff - what was there not to like?

Attentive and quick service, had a mojito with three tapas and a steak salad.

Very good service and good food lovely seating area outside definitely visit again.

Perfect lunch here! We aren't local and stumbled across this place while looking for some brunch, part way though a long car journey. What an amazing place! Lovely service, really tasty food that came out in good time and looked beautiful. Coffee was gorgeous, and other drinks that were being served looked lovely. We sat out in the front garden in the sun! Chairs had comfy cushions too. And the toilets were clean and nicely decorated and well maintained. Honestly, best place I've eaten out in a long time! Thank you so much ❤️

Loved this cafe, food wasn’t to expensive I had a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows and to eat the Eggs Royale with Salmon, altogether it was £13.95. The food was very tasty and we sat outside as it was sunny, would definitely go again.

Met up with family for lunch today, have to say the meal I had of lasagne was very disappointing. I feel that the portion had been microwaved to heat it up hence it was very dried out and a little burnt at one edge, it was accompanied by a few lettuce leaves and two slices of garlic bread. Not good value for money.

We only had a snack and hot drink but found the atmosphere and service very good, and the prices reasonable. We have determined to return for a meal and possibly try and combine that with one of their live music nights. Strongly recommend

ALL the staff here couldn’t be kinder! We held my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary party in the function room upstairs the bar man worked SO hard and couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you!!

Found Gilt by accident, turned up early for an appointment, thought I'd have some lunch. Very friendly and attentive staff, beautiful food, nice vibe to the place. Definitely be bringing my wife. Highly recommend.

Honestly the worst experience I’ve had in a bar in years. We all understand that it’s a bank holiday and people have one too many but when ‘customers’ openly abuse patrons, smash glasses and break furniture without so much as a quiet word from the staff is disgraceful. Me and my partner felt quite intimidated, especially when called the ‘C’ word by said customers. I completely get it… you’ve got 3 large boys mouthing off, but to deal with this is part of the job. From listening to comments from other tables I wasn’t the only one who felt this way.

Nice location in the centre of the village, especially when it's sunny and we can sit outside. A bit pricey, but isn't everywhere today? Recommended. Breakfast this morning was excellent. Eggs Royale.

We had a nice dinner here of fish and chips (cod) the fish tasted excellent and we both finished our food without complaint. Desert was excellent I recommend the sticky toffee pudding great place we will be back again next time we visit.

The staff are exceptional. They always make you feel welcome. Quality of food and drinks are excellent. It would be hard to fault this place.

Roast dinner served on cold plates so food wasn't hot. Crème Brulee uneadible, gritty not set , disappointing won't bother going back I'm afraid

Possibly the worst example of a BLT sandwich I’ve had. Dry, cold toast and pretty flavourless ingredients. Sorry!

I've been here before as well as Gilt in West Bridgford. Not too bad of an experience, however more recently I went out for dinner with some people and I had a horrible time. The bouncer there very rudely told me to "GO AWAY AND NOT COME BACK BECAUSE MY CLOTHES WEREN'T GOOD ENOUGH"!! I was just wearing a pair of normal going out black trousers. The group of people who were with me were so shocked they said to him very politely "okay then, we won't be coming back again". He was some black man and he was a real jobsworth should any of you ever be so unlucky to come across him. All that driving and planning for nothing just because of some extremely impolite staff!! Now it's up to you if you want to go through the same experience. I'm so sorry to say this but after this I DEFINITELY WON'T COME BACK AGAIN.

Popped in for a coffee. Love the ambience here, so calm and relaxing. My grandson loves the lasagne or pitta bread with dips.

Breakfast @ Gilt 10/1/24 Had Pancakes with Bacon, pot of tea for one, followed by a slice of Bakewell tart cake. Everything was hot and fresh, served fast and happily by staff, whom were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back. Breakfast again 17/1/24 Toady had a pot of Earl Grey with a bacon and fried egg ciabatta, really enjoyed the roll, egg was cooked to perfection just runny enough. Service was perfect. Breakfast 24/1/24 Went for the full English breakfast today, with the beans and hash browns, Earl Grey tea, followed by coffee and walnut cake. Was greeted with a friendly hello and big smile from waitress, my tea arrived very quickly and breakfast was hot and tasty. Service was great as I have come to expect, the building is great with pleasant decor.

Food was good but portions somewhat meagre and a little expensive. Staff a little to pushy.... While I appreciate attentive staff their continued visits were a bit much. Seating not particularly comfortable

Had an absolutely lovely evening there with a few work friends last night food amazing ..good portions ..fab service ..one slight issue ..with a person who has a nut allergy ..but sorted without issue ..definitely recommend and will go again ..thankyou for a lovely evening 👍😀

Great Saturday morning coffee/breakfast venue. Friendly, attentive staff and good coffee.

We tried the Sunday lunch - lovely slow cooked pork. Good portion size. Roast potatoes could have been better though & whilst the service was friendly, it felt a bit like they wanted you in and out.

Gilt wasn't busy, and seemed to have plenty of staff available. My wife and I walked in mid-morning intending to have breakfast on the terrace. Ignored by those outside, I asked a staff member in the doorway if we could have a table - and were told to find one ourselves. Having sat down, we were ignored initially then approached to ask what we wanted to drink. We pointed out that we didn't have menus, so one - yes one - was begrudgingly provided from a number on the hostess station that were not being used. With such lacklustre service, we got up and left to be valued as customers elsewhere in Bingham.

Myself and my husband came here for the first time today and we’ll be back 100% the food was well priced and delicious! Everything was so well cooked and piping hot, the two for Thursday deal was brilliant also, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. We sat outside on a lovey warm evening, it was lovely to sit and look across Bingham square whilst enjoying our meal. We already have plans to come back soon, thank you Gilt! ❤️

What an amazing find! We've been here twice now and I honestly can't fault a thing. The team are all so friendly and will do anything to help, the setting whether you sit inside or out is lovely, and the food is amazing! The last time we went I had the cajun chicken burger and it was honestly the nicest chicken burger I have ever had! We will definitely be returning more in the future!

Hired upstairs for my daughter’s first birthday party in late October (long overdue review!). Gilt couldn’t have been more accommodating, providing delicious tapas, manning the private upstairs bar, allowing us to decorate and bring a birthday cake, and allowing the set up of a soft play area. The space is perfect for a private event with its own loos, bar and door (importantly to keep kids away from stairs). The manager and all staff were very attentive, friendly and professional.

Been in a few times for Dinner over the last month and the service is generally great. But Mother’s Day was an absolute mess. The only thing that’s been different has been a young man who I think is the assistant manager. Think his name is “Will,he clearly knows the business and does everything to keep the customers happy. Funnily enough he wasn’t there on Mother’s Day. Seems the great service only coincides with “Will” working!! Keep it up “Will” and thank you.

I ordered cheese omelette and chips. Plenty of egg but a distinctive lack of cheese. Disappointing. Draught beer, ok.

This is an update today the twelfth of March 2023, of my review below, we revisited yesterday after the Area Manager apologised and invited us back, what a difference, everything was spot on, they wanted to show us how it would normally be done, I think they must of had a few staff issues on our first visit, but this has, without doubt, been resolved, I would certainly recommend them, hence me updating to five stars. ……. Awful experience, poor food, poor service, I’m amazed that people have given good reviews, the staff couldn’t care less, not once did they ask if everything was ok, I specifically asked for my bacon to be crispy, it was the opposite and not once did they come back to ask if we wanted another drink, infact after delivery of the food we never saw an assistant again, even the bill was wrong, they had added another £6! We paid and they didn’t come back with our change, absolutely disgusted, an update, the area manager contacted me yesterday with regards to our experience, he was shocked and very concerned, he could not have been more apologetic and has offered us a free meal and drinks, restored my faith in Gilt, hope next visit it will be good, will be sure to update once we have been back!

The Sunday Roast here was superb and excellent value for money, all the components were beautifully cooked. Good selection of beers and service was polite and efficient. The setting is elegantly festive and welcoming however the background music could have benefitted from being less pop and more lounge to give a warmer atmosphere. Definitely 1 of, if not the best Sunday roasts in the area including Radcliffe and West Bridgford.

I had a lunch here on the 15th oct 2022, I had fish chips mushy peas. The fish was very overcooked either end the middle part was tasty I mentioned it to the waiter who said the fish must have been big so that’s y it’s overcooked at the ends .

The food was delicious (I would highly recommend the blackberry chocolate tart🤤), the service was great and the interior was fresh and cosy. The live music was a lovely added bonus! I would definitely return, thank you.

Went today for the first time, so impressed. We had the fish platter to share and it was superb. What impressed me more was how attentive, friendly and polite all the staff were. Thank you, we will be back soon.

Was absolutely terrible. Micro meal from herons would have been nicer. To top that off we waited 45 minutes for it to come

The Tuesday night grill menu was terrible… stick to the main menu. Setting at least outdoors was good.

Had drinks and dinner at Gilt this evening. What a great experience. Fabulous cocktail followed by lovely meal with live music which was absolutely exceptional. A great playlist so we'll delivered. Friendly service which only added to a great evening, we will definitely be back.

Hospitality spot on, lovely welcoming smile. Relaxing seated area on the balcony. Had previously sat in Weatherspoons but the had stopped serving, on the way back spotted the Gilt. Definitely will be coming here again with family and friends

Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the facilities. And pleasantly reasonable prices. The staff were very good and helpful.

Great food. The portions are very large and we could have easily shared 2 meals between the 4 of us. Staff were all very attentive and helpful. The only negative for me is they were adhering to the 1 meter plus rule for social distancing (which I understand for profit during this time) and I felt uneasy about walking so close to other customers. Otherwise we will be returning. Would recommend.

It’s hard to imagine any less effort could have gone into the food. Passing by Greggs on our way back to the car park, I realised the standard of food there was considerably better than at Copper. Best avoided.

I ordered beef lasagne, it was not beef, it tasted like minced quorn, it was pulped so much it was like baby food. Also there was no pasta sheets at all. Just pulped protein with a cheese sauce topping. We also had salad with chicken, chicken was too dry, also pork burgers which again the burgers were too dry. Didn't complain, because all 3 dishes were terrible. That's not a one off incident. Sorry, won't be going back there.

Fab lunch here today! So refreshing to enjoy homemade soup which wasn't loaded with salt. Hot, plentiful and very tasty. Well done Copper!

Been here a few times now and found the food to be tasty and of a good quality. Most recently had a really nice steak ciabatta sandwich which I really enjoyed which came with some salad and crisp on the side. My only moan was that a few of the crisp seemed a bit moist like they had been left out overnight so didn’t have that crunch anymore. Will defiantly be eating here again.

At busier times if you book ahead chances are you're allocated a table that is level and has chairs. If you show up ad-lib you will be denied any of that instead you're seated on the most uncomfortable of tables that are all on the tilt by ten degrees or more with attached short curved planks for seating that are dreadfully uncomfortable. Even though tables were empty on the level bit you're left feeling "you can't have one of those, oh no no no, you need to phone for one of those - special people only". We did ask, several times, and only under duress did they give in. Food was fairly bland and overpriced, regardless of where you sat. This awful seating plan Copper Bingham consider fine will stop me ever dropping in. The poor souls stuck with those randomly plonked bargain basement tables to endure eating at really ought to get fed at half price One of the "special seating tables" remained empty for the duration of our visit.
