Gills Pantry in Lancaster

I ordered an afternoon tea party for my 60th birthday. What a result! The food was delicious, delivered an hour before needed and when my numbers dropped the day before it wasn't a problem. I can't speak highly enough of every aspect of the service and I have already booked another. Great value!

I ordered through Lancaster Eats. During the day they have quite a comprehensive breakfast menu and then the menu switches to Mexican food. There is a selection of meat  vegan and vegetarian dishes. They also do wrapless burritos and so catering to several dietary requirements.  I ordered a mixed meat and rice box which consists of pulled pork , habenaro chicken,  chilli and beef topped with soured cream , guacamole,  cheese and crushed nachos. I also ordered halloumi on the side.  Mixed meat and rice box £8.00 Halloumi £4.00 Delivery £2.50  Service charge £0.50 Total = £15.00  Min order £8.00  I ordered at 17.05 and it was predicted to be delivered 18.15 . The order arrived 17.40 so that was a bonus.  The hallomi side dish had six pieces which is a good size for a takeaway. The mixed meat and rice box was a massive portion to the extent I have split in half to freeze for another day. Its not spicy except for some of the meat having a slight kick but tasty,  the meat was beautifully cooked and there was lots of it . The only think I would say to improve it would be you could select your spice level. The pictures don't look great as Mexican is messy but it tasted good. 

Absolutely the best breakfast buns in the area and tonight we tried the Mexican takeaway! Fantastic I defy you to find better! Lovely friendly people! You WILL return!!!

We ordered a mega breakfast that was two of everything (husband hates mushrooms and so he swapped them for a hash brown in the instructions section of the app) and a normal breakfast which was one of everything but I ordered a extra blackpudding. Mega breakfast £5.95 Normal breakfast £4.00 Extras £0.50 Morecambe eats fee £0.50 Delivery £2.50 The app predicted the food would be with us in a hour, it took a hour and 15 minutes but it is Bank Holiday Friday. The food was warm when it arrived as it was stored in cardboard boxes and wrapped in foil. The quality of the breakfast items were very good and I am glad I ordered the s mm alker breakfast as would not have been able to eat the bigger one. Each breakfast also came with buttered toast which was the only bit that was cold but that was OK as it would be hard to keep bread warm. We really enjoyed our breakfasts and would order from here again.

Always lovely pies, sandwiches, breakfast buns and the buffet service is excellent. Spotlessly clean.

Djs here saying that after trying most breakfasts around morecambe and Lancaster, this is hands down one of the best with very friendly service. Large bap filled to sides! No bite disappointed.. Would recommend to anyone, best of the best and cooked from fresh!

Shop had run out of both types of white rolls and baguettes, staff apologised and offered a wholemeal they don’t usually have either with a bit of seed on top or breakfast bap alternative I went for the white.. filling was cheese savoury tasted nice however bread was stale and peppers not chopped finely enough, big chunks and it was thick with margarine! I asked for the £3.50 meal deal of crisps and drink but was told my bun wasn’t eligible ?? I said if I’d of had the brown was that included she said yes quite curtly! I made a joke and said I’d shot myself in the foot.. the response...nothing!! Why wasn’t this pointed out as I was making my selection ? So overall it cost me £1.50 extra for a bun I didn’t want with a drink but no crisps !?! Also she watched me making a fool of myself trying to get in fridge for a drink before saying the handle had dropped off. Didn’t represent good value or customer service.

Just local to us. The breakfast Baps are amazing value for money. Plenty of filling. The large white bap is one of the biggest I have seen. Fantastic start to the day!

Great sandwiches and cakes etc. Always prepared to a high standard. Well worth calling in, with friendly service as well.

Can’t beat them for that much needed breakfast in a bun. Excellently priced and plenty of fillings. Their freshly made sandwiches are awesome as well.

Food is always good, never any problems, staff are very friendly, place is very popular a sit shows food is excellent as why would it always be busy. Breakfast is superb

Outside catering service good choice served fresh reasonable price, ordered a cake for in laws Ruby wedding beautifully decorated. Shops also had a refurb in recent times and quality of sandwiches have improved

Each day there is a take away dish of the day(home made) as well as sandwiches.My favourite is Lasagne (wednesday).They also have cakes and salads.Clean and reasonably priced.

Did my dads wake for me. Lovely food and good value buffet. Made the funeral so less sad as everyone enjoyed the food

The pensioner special lunches are good quality hot meals delivered to your home at little more than the price of a frozen ready meal. Gills Pantry enable my father in law to enjoy a hot meal without having to fend for himself. Thank you to all who work there.

serves excellent takeaway lunchtime food and burritos teatime thur/fri, very good food for very reasonable prices, home cooked, pensioners specials weekdays. Recommend you try it and enjoy - lovely staff too
