This restaurant is amazing. The food and service is above 5*. Fantastic menu choices and really good drink options especially the cocktails. We are regulars and this is our “go to” special place. Give it a go. The Gilbey family will look after you.

We went early evening 5 pm, to start with I had tempura prawns and lemon mayonnaise dip. My main was one of the specials, the monk fish and king prawn Kebab, Mediterranean rice, herb potatoes and Greek salad. I had extra salad instead of the rice, as they are very accommodating to dietary needs, nothing is too much trouble really. It was totally delicious and the recommended wine paired with it beautifully, a lovely evening meal, with relaxing music and perfect ambiance.

One of the best restaurants in Redcar and Marske. The pizzas are pretty special, couldn't prize out of them the secret of the base! Service is quick and they have a very good larger on draught. Recommend.

Booked a table same day and so lucky to get one. Lovely environment. Friendly and informative staff. Shared the meze platter for 2 - delicious. Highly recommend a visit here , I will be visiting again if ever in the area

10 of us visited for a family birthday we all had starters followed by a variety of a mains. The menu is skewed to a Greek cuisine. The food was all pretty good but there were a few items where the flavours could have been a bit bolder. The staff were all great

We found this GEM of a place by accident, received the warmest friendliest welcome despite only wanting coffees. Lovely atmosphere, comfortable and beautiful surroundings, the owner was happy to serve us just coffees and we enjoyed his hospitality. It’s a Greek/Mediterranean menu and we cannot wait to go back for a meal with family and friends as the food looked great and the aroma was amazing . We’re definitely going back for the Greek Night ASAP 😋😍😍

We went there today! I thought the place was cute! It’s was quite busy when we arrived. Service did take a little while however it was worth it. They have nice drink specials and I really enjoyed my cheeseburger. The bathroom door is a little strange.

Where do I start…. I’ve never felt so welcomed into a restaurant like we did on our arrival. The interior is gorgeous along with the menu. We opted for mussels and frites along with the seafood platter. OMG absolutely delicious accompanied by a great bottle of Gavi. The owner & waitress were so friendly and advised us of places to go and see. Highly recommend this place and making a reservation is probably best to avoid missing out on a table. Thank you for a lovely meal We will definitely go back again if in the area !!

The welcome was heartwarming, food delicious as always. My company felt comfortable in this lovely family run Bistro. Great venue, great food and super professional staff. Highly recommended eatery. WOW! We went here as a family for an evening meal. We could not fault the service or the food one bit. The pizzas are so fresh and tasty and made just how we like them, thin, crispy, with plenty of toppings and not too much crust. My son had the Souvlaki and he said “best chicken ever!” Definitely will be returning soon!

The decor is lovely, as are the staff who took our orders and brought us our drinks and food. For the price, the food was OK. I would not say it was exceptional. Ran out of the red wine we were drinking, so had to select a different one. After our main meal we were asked if we would like desserts, which we all chose. Although, nice, paying £8.95 each for chocolate éclairs seemed extortionate. To finish our evening off we decided to have a coffee. Unfortunately, if you want a coffee after 9.30 you can't have one as they close at 10 pm, so they strip the machine down. Had they thought to offer coffee when taking our dessert order's, we may have left happy, which would have meant a higher score. Would I visit again? Probably not!

We wanted to eat next door but they were closed. Fortunately, we ate here and shared an excellent seafood platter with a few extras. All washed down by a very nice Spanish rose. The owners were very attentive and the local coffee excellent. Looking forward to returning shortly.

The atmosphere was wonderful and welcoming as were the front of house staff. Despite being busy they found time to check in on the table and have some conversation with everyone at the table including the children. The food was brilliant tasty and fresh. Noone could fault any part of their meals. We will definitely be back and be recommending to everyone who asks. Also definitely keep the passion fruit martinis on - absolutely delicious.

My partner and I came for a meal to celebrate our anniversary. We were very impressed with the atmosphere and the look of the place. The customer service was excellent as was the food. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be returning again.

Nice Friendly and helpful staff from booking through to the end of the night. Booked party of 10 with no one having been before. Lovely atmosphere and great food for everyone… starters garlic mushrooms, squid, Brie parcels and homemade tomato garlic bread all delicious. Souvlaki, lamb kolas, burgers, prawn ravioli all homemade… delicious Good choice of puddings and ice cream Couldn’t fault the hospitality or food and we all said would return so 5 stars given

We are always on the lookout for an excellent cafe that has great service, food, coffee and loves dogs! We found this in abundance at Gilbeys! We now can’t stop coming back, our dog knows exactly where he is going when our route, he loves it and is well looked after. We can’t recommend this cafe enough! A great family business that looks after it’s customers, human and K9.

Found this lovely place having walked along the beach from Saltburn. It was very friendly and welcoming, including for our two dogs. Great food, great service, we will come again!

Last night was the first time visiting Gilbey’s in Marske!! The food was absolutely gorgeous, the staff were friendly and very attentive - we really enjoyed the whole evening there. Would highly recommend coming here and we will definitely be returning!! ❤️
