The Longacre Pub, Grill and Pizza in Redcar and Cleveland

Very pleasantly surprised by our visit! Looked at the reviews beforehand and decided to give it a go. But had a great meal at a great price! Kids loved the food & the play area.

The food and service was excellent. We will definitely go again.

Very good menu excellent food quick service

Ordered a halloumi and roast pepper baguette, it arrived with no peppers and about 10/11 chips. Asked staff about the peppers and they took my meal back to the kitchen. When they brought it back some tepid peppers had been placed on the sandwich. There was a group of about 11 people on the tables opposite who were very loud, to the point we could not hear each talk. Several members of this group also had meals sent back, one of which had cold mushrooms on.

Lovely food, service was brilliant, nice chilled pint on a hot day. Highly recommend.

Great place for a week night treat or special occasion

I usually come here every couple of weeks with the kids and get a ultimate chicken burger and it was always really good for the price. Dunno when but they've changed the chicken in the burger for something really low quality - wife got the same as me and didn't eat half of it. Bit disappointing really.

Very friendly and helpful staff with good suggestions for veggie alternatives. Food was actually tasty, especially the braised red cabbage and came quickly. The atmosphere in here isn't too bad for a quick meal & made a nice change. Toilets however, needed a good clean.

Food is always amazing and the staff are first class. Special mention to the Manager who is always hands on and interacts with the customers.

We hired part of the Longacre pub for a function for our sons leaving party. 10/10 We had such an amazing evening celebrating with friends and family. The buffet we ordered was outstanding 😋 All our guests could not believe how wonderful it was and such a variety of hot and cold food. We chose the higher end buffet as we wanted to make it special and it certainly was!! The gluten free options were perfect 🥰 The chefs were brilliant 👏 Thank you 😊 Matty the owner was so accommodating, nothing was too much. They decorated the area with our decorations we had bought, the atmosphere was amazing. We had organised a drinks area where Mattys team put bottle's of wine and juice for our guests arrival which was a lovely touch and then our guests could just go to the bar afterwards. 🍸 🍹🥂🍷 We all had such a fantastic and memorable evening and we thank Matty and his team for making it a special memorable ❤️ evening. We would highly recommend the new buffet for anyone. It's perfect for get together and parties 🥳 It is so easy to book and what an amazing evening ✨️ Thank you 😊

We had a fabulous family meal experience here. The staff service is excellent. There is a great choice of food, all reasonably priced. I had chicken tikka masala, which was good quality and plentiful. Food was served promptly after our order was taken. We had a 30% off voucher, which made it excellent value too. Well worth a visit.

Good food, good atmosphere & friendly staff.

Great visit today at lunchtime. One of the staff held the door open whilst we came in with pram and elderly neighbour, nothing was too much trouble( warming baby food, getting a high chair, setting up a tab) and staff were friendly and attentive. Food was good quality,, tasty and easy to order via an app or traditionally at the bar. Plenty of people there, but didn't feel busy- obviously the Longacre is doing something right. My first visit, but would return

Great friendly service, clean and tidy, really tasty food, I recommend the ribs (fully stacked) worth every penny. Today was Surf and turf for me, I'd have preferred proper prawns and not battered prawn balls (sounds painfully if your a prawn) Mrs had the Pepperoni pizza and said it was the conkers. Good selection of beverages both alcohol and non alcoholic. Yup, all in all, very nice indeed. I was too busy eating to take photos this time.

Second lunch at a Marston's in two days. Neither disappointed on food or value for money. Today at The Longacre we had a lovely meal; well cooked and great presentation. One of our party asked if they could increase the heat in the curry, which was done brilliantly with no question or query. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Christine and Rosie. They were able to answer the questions we asked so we got the meals we wanted.

Excellent well cooked tasty food. Two of our party are fussy & they had no complaints, so must have been good. Soft succulent belly pork, tasty curry, perfect steaks. Food could not have been better, well cooked, tasty & sizable portions. Lovely atmosphere, clean, attentive friendly staff, easy to park. Odd smell in ladies toilet!

Went in on sat 8th June @ 15.30, for a meal, it is our regular pub food area. Dave served me. We ran pubs for 20 years, and this young man stood out immediately, so pleasant. Very clear when asking for your order. Good bar staff are essential, especially today. Thank you Dave your an asset to the pub, and made our visit so much better.

Had lovely meal on the 7th June, staff all very nice and the food was served in good time and none of us had anything we could fault so will visit again next time were up that way. Never did get my neck oil glass 😉.

Pop in on the regular to this place. Nice to sit with a drink and a book and relaxed beer garden if you like to sit and watch the world go by. Food is always nice and good selection for veggies, can't go wrong really

Had the most lovely meal here yesterday, whilst holidaying in Saltburn-By-The-Sea. My husband had Sunday lunch which had plenty of meat lovely fresh vegetables and plenty of it.( very happy) I had the best hunter’s chicken I have ever tasted….😊 Very good service lovely staff who came asked if we had everything we needed. And also gave our little dog a treat.😊 10 out of 10 for everything we will definitely be back….😊😊

If you are ever passing the Longacre, be sure to pop in. It is a fantastic place to eat, drink, and socialise. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the food is good and there is a great selection of beverages on offer at a good price and about what you would expect from a decent pub.

Went for a Bingo afternoon with three other girlfriends. All the staff were courteous. We were shown to our booked table and because it was our first bingo visit they informed us about how it all worked. We had a great time with coffees and soft drinks. We will be making regular "bingo visits" including lunch. It is lovely that Longacre provides afternoons like this. Well done to all involved!

This is a fairly basic chain pub, it seems such clones are poppng up everywhere. The food is fairly poor, the quality of the meats on the mixed grill is just awful. I was having to drink with every mouthful to get the steak and chicken down. The sausages were tiny and hard, ONE onion ring and rock hard chips. Attempts to add sides when ordering by the staff without mentioning they would cost more, until asked were unwelcome. We were in as a large group and everyone's chips were substandard, it also took ages for the food to arrive which was odd given it was not busy. Still three stars as the chairs are some of the best around and they still have full sugar Pepsi on draught, however I can't return and subject myself to such substandard food.

Family meal for 9, including 1 with severe nut allergy, all catered for easily plus the allow Blue light card use! Excellent!

We are regulars of the pub and are always satisfied with the service and food. The staff are brilliant and would recommend everyone. We have our family Xmas party there ever year can't praise it enough.

Went for lunch for husbands birthday and I had voucher for 30% off main courses. It is a lovely, bright and clean, with low back ground music which was restful. Great choice of food, we had 2 types of burger, both were lovely and everything was hot. I had banoffee chocolate tart to finish with which was divine. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they were very attentive with out being in the way. Would recommend longacre to anyone who wanted good food reasonably priced. A lovely lunch, will definitely going again soon.

Six of us went for lunch on 21st April 2024. Choice of food available was really good. All the staff were very polite and friendly. Food was lovely especially the sticky toffee puddings

Absolutely gorgeous pub. Top quality food every time we have eaten there. Great selection of drinks, whether it be draft, wines, spirits or soft drinks. It's clear that the lines are well maintained as the draft is always fresh, and the wine selection is fab. The place is always immaculately clean, including the toilets and outdoor childrens area. The play area is really well maintained and is absolutley ideal for kids to run off some energy after dinner because it can be seen from a large section of the pub, as well as having an outdoor seeing area attached. Besides all that, what makes it for me is the staff. They whole team are exceptional. They're so friendly and welcoming, they address every member of the party regardless if they're 80 or 8. They constantly go our of their way to make sure you're looked after, without being over the top and imposing. Would absolutely recommend the Longacre.

Lovely little pub with a fab, secure, play area for the kids. Food was lovely, staff are too. Handy little pitstop before the food shop over the road! We've visited a number of times and always had a good experience.

The standard are so acommading and nothing is too much trouble. My mam is nearly 93 and it is her favourite place to eat as they cater to her tiny appetite . We all love it here. Foid and menu changes are great

Arrived an hour early than the booking and sorted a table straight away, it was quiet luckily. Wanted an extra sauce for the steak. The deputy manager dave was very helpful

Great service with a smile, even though we were a bit picky, nothing was too much trouble. Food was lovely and fresh, we had a burger and salt and chilli chicken flatbread that was gorgeous, more food than we could manage but was hard to stop eating :)

Great meal and service yet again

me and my friend came to longacer earlier today ,the drinks were delivered straight away and finding a table was no bother at all as we called in advanced and the person who answered the phone (alfie) reserved us a table which was very convenient . our food was delivered quickly and was very nice, our main waiter (alfie) came and made sure we were all okay with our food and provided a nice welcoming atmosphere, we enjoyed it so much we even ordered a desert each, the waitresses were also very nice and polite. would definitely reccomed, cheap prices, good service and good food 👍

me and my friend came for some food, we were sat down quickly and had our drinks delivered to us almosy straight away. we ordered the pizza, chips, cheeseburger, hallumi fries and onion rings and they were all amazing, we were served by a lady with blonde/purple hair and were sat at table 17. service was amazing and she was very good at making sure we had what we needed. 5stars would reccomend.

We had our tea last night. Great pub/restaurant , really well decorated and lay out. Service was fantastic and food was excellent. Bar staff were friendly and offering places to go and see while we were in the area. All in all, great place and dog friendly too.

Been many times, very clean. The food is good and affordable. Plenty of parking spaces.

While the Longacre is part of Marsdens pub chain the food certainly doesn't look or taste like it. We have visited on numerous occasions and have ordered something different each time. We have never had anything that didn't taste lovely & freshly cooked & there is always a good choice, that caters for all. The new items on the menu are to the usual high standard, especially the salt & chilli kebab & portions are always a good size. The staff here are always really welcoming, friendly and helpful and always look happy in their job. They are also very child friendly. The last thing and by no means least is the way they cater for children during school holidays. This ranges from fabulous activities that they put on to the offers on food. All round a fantastic local place with a relaxed atmosphere that is suitable for all.

We have 2 dogs and they are very pet friendly. The food is OK, not brilliant. In our part we have a vegan and on "the new menu" the usual chilli or curry ok if u like hot food. So 3 sides. So we will be taking our custom back to the Ship at Saltburn where they have a vegan menu. Oh and when we ask the bar staff re vegan food, their reply was "take it up with head office" in a curt manner.

Staff absolutely spot on ! Food and drink were basic . Way over priced for both ! Steak was cooked to perfection.. frozen chips let it down . The starter of mac n cheese was a joke for nearly 8 pound Werherspoon standard with seaside prices.

We were greeted upon arrival and shown to our precooked table. We were told of what items were unavailable and shown the menu. I ordered from the bar as the ordering app dosent let you customise items, I have a son who is very fussy. The girl on the bar was extremely pleasant and sorted my order for me. We were informed of how long the wait for foid would be as it was quite busy, but we didn't wait long before our starters arrived and then our mains. The food was excellent and everything came as I had asked for so our fussy son was very happy. The price of the food is very competitive and good value for money. We have a Marstons pub on our doorstep but the Longacre blows that out of the water for food quality and customer service. We will definitely be back.

Honestly cannot fault this place. Been here a number of times when visiting my mum, they are very accommodating to my sons allergies and are super kid friendly. The service is fantastic and so personal. Fab place.

Always a great experience and good food

I visited with my 3 yr old grand-daughter as she was having a treat night with me. We've done this before. The food was better than it's been previously. I'm vegan and gluten-free. I'm very happy there is food to suit my diet. My granddaughter loves the kids tomato pasta meal. There's plenty of space for her to move around. The bookshelf, the candy necklaces in the machine, the outdoor playpark are all a hit. We really missed the kids computers on the wall. We were told they were broken and might not be repaired or replaced. That would be such a shame as my grand-daughter loves to play on them

The staff were lovely & polite but the only thing my Mam had a broken chair but the staff apologised for it so we appreciate that. I know it's not there fault😁 Other than that our evening was great!xx

Sorry Longacre poor review incoming. My family couldn't get together for Christmas lunch so, We were really looking forward to our Boxing day family meal. Unfortunately the Turkey dinners were in our opinion not done by the same Chef as normal. Tasted like constituted sliced Turkey and warmed up Christmas day veg. Bland.

It's a Marstons, but it's a very, very good one. Impeccable service and fantastic quality food, so well worth a visit.
