If you’re ever in St Davids , this lovely, family run icecream parlour is a must ! Fantastic, creamy, ice cream made on the premises with local milk. Vegan, gluten free are also available. Staff on hand to advise of allergy contents, and they even have cute dog ice cream. Nice seats outside to people watch. Hot/cold beverages and small selection of snacks and cakes available too . Love my little visits to this place x

I tried the salted caramel and it was wonderful! Served by a welcoming and lovely lady who said she makes it fresh every day.

We were disappointed with this ice cream parlour and tried it several times to make sure it wasn't us! The ice cream looks great but it lacks flavour and is too sweet. There's also quite a high water content compared to other ice creams we've tried, so it melts very quickly and makes a mess. I was surprised that we didn't like it more as it is made on the premises and there's a good selection of flavours. The service could be friendlier. We had a six year old in our group who wanted to taste a flavour before committing - they don't do that.

Absolutely stunning choice of flavours, all delicious. They offer 1 litre and 1/2 litre take-outs which are great value. We had two different flavours every day for two weeks.

I am really not a ice cream fan ,my husband is but we were away in st David’s and it was a lovely day and warm so I decided to have one and was I glad !Milky bar icecream it was delicious well worth the visit

Amazing selection of home made ice creams. Fabulous number of flavours, many of which are unusual ones. We had banoffee and Ferror Rocher flavours.

Theres lots of choice and the ice cream is fantastic (I recommend the fig and mascarpone), the staff are super friendly. Our youngest is celiac but there are lots of gluten free options and the girls serving couldn’t have been any more helpful.

Highly recommend the ice cream here! I had the 'healthy options' - Blueberry and Panacotta and Fig and Marscapone with a side order of Pembrokeshire Promise!! All absolutely delicious! We also had a coffee and a mocha, both very good too. The staff were friendly and helpful both in person and online - I had messaged them before our visit to check opening times and got a very swift response. Make sure you visit!

Generous portions, friendly staff..we went for rum and raisin and fig and mascarpone ice creams but we were so spoilt for choice. Happily we will return. The Bench is a must for us when in St Davids.

Living near St Davids I find it very difficult to walk past The Bench without having an ice cream - one of the best ice cream parlours in the area. Ice cream made with milk from local farm. Absolutely delicious, generous scoop and a great choice of flavours.

Everyday of our holiday we visited until we tasted almost all flavours! Just delicious. Jammy dodger and mascarpone fig a must try.

So glad that I don't live nearby as definitely addicted to this icecream! The best I've had outside of Italy. Pembokeshire Promise is my favourite so far, but looking forward to trying other flavours in future. It's nice that they have outside seating where dogs are welcome too. It's worth making a special trip here if you're in the area....Or even if you're not!

Managed four visits here whilst doing a 5 day stopover nearby. Absolutely ace gelato. We tried several but liked the lemon meringue and the cherry bakewell flavours best. Real Italian Welsh ice cream. Love it, love it.

An ice cream flavour to suit everyone. Lots to choose from, reasonably priced and generous scoops. Really delicious ice cream natural flavours. Choc orange, Ferrero rocher, mint choc chip, malteser, bubblegum, bueno and lots of others too.

I recently went to The Bench in the beautiful St David’s it was the best ice cream ever, would highly recommend to go if you are in the area, definitely will come back again!

If you come to St David's you simple must get an ice cream here...yes perhaps not that cheap but well worth every penny....the selection is vast and whatever you choose is amazing....loved it.

This parlour offers a good selection of flavours at reasonable prices with a good cone selection too. The salted caramel was very moreish.

We stopped here one afternoon after walking round the cathedral. It's another small business situated by the war memorial, about 50 yards upwards. Can't remember exactly hat we had but we had sugar cones and one scoop was sufficient because the helpings were very large....

After the rave reviews on this website I expected something extraordinary. It wasn't. It was reasonably good ice cream, but unmemorable. And a bit pricey. And hard to find, as they are now called The Bench.

I never had the ice cream (looked tasty though) but had a coffee each morning of my hols. The coffee was always top notch, and a good price, and it was always a lovely place to sit and enjoy the sun.

One of the reasons for coming back to St David’s was the ice cream, my daughters favourite!! Our dog was disappointed the dog ice creams are off the menu at the moment!! Delicious ice creams great selection of flavours.

Visited here just after it reopened after lockdown. The ice cream was very disappointing - not sure if it had been in storage for months or something, but it doesn’t feel worth a second risk given there are other places in town that offer better...

Whilst visiting St David’s you MUST visit The Bench Ice Cream Parlour. Plenty of flavours and they are amazing. One scoop is by far big enough.

A variety of offerings, good but not spectacular. There is a small seating area next to the counter and you can people watch if you grab a bench next to the main road.

It was so good we visited 3 times in a week. The ice cream is to die for and for me 1 scoop is enough but the 2 scoops looks massive!!! Great value for money, supporting the local farms and businesses. Flavours to die for. Staff were always very friendly and polite. A must if you are visiting

The Celtic Crumble and Rum and Raisin ice cream cornets we’re both very disappointing - emphasis on ice as opposed to cream - really not at all creamy. Disappointing.

My wife has dairy free and gluten free diet. What a delight she had a choice of 5 or 6 sorbets, especially nice on a hot summers day. The size of the portions are enormous. Well worth dropping in and enjoying an ice creams here. It is also nice that they were open late, one evening having been out for the day we polished of the day with a nice ice cream before going back to our house. Lovely

Lovely Ice-cream, we all picked a flavour, and a wildcard , death by chocolate , Cappuccino, salted caramel , the cherry flavour , sorry can't remember what it was called , and the Peach & Mango as the wildcard, we were all happy with our choices , but all also agreed the salted caramel was the winner followed by the cherry, the only slight negative felt the Mango could do with a bit more flavor it was very subtle, I was expecting a bang of flavour. But all in all very good ice cream served in a great location in the centre of St.Davids

Pestered constantly by our 2 girls for ice-cream from here so we get them at the end of the evening. It's a good distraction for the long walk back to the campsite. I believe they stay open till 9 in the summer.

Drawn in by the busy shop front, stopped for an ice cream with family. For £3 you get a single scoop cone, but it will be plenty big enough for most!

Gorgeous homemade ice cream with lots of different flavours to choose from. Everytime we pass there's guaranteed to be people queuing outside, no wonder when the ice cream is as tasty as it is. The staff are happy and patient with those who still can't decide what to have when ordering (us!!!) Best place by far to get an ice cream in St David's.

The mandatory ice cream for the family, excellent range of flavours and always some surprises.... sadly no christmas pudding flavour on offer this time, but the almond and cherry bakewell more than made up for it. Jamie dodger, Celtic crunch and bannoffee also went down well with the family. Generous pile of ice cream ( advertised as 2 scoops) for around £3 and totally worth it!

Wow - what a range of ice cream flavors. We tried 4 flavors and they did not disappoint. The only problem is that you are not able to sample prior to purchase so you have to go with what you order. I can understand the policy as it can get busy. Really nice ice cream and the portion size is good.

Called here after a delicious pub lunch and it was equally delicious ice cream, had a double scoop of Cherry Bakewell and Chocolate Brownie in chocolate waffle cone... stunning, I’ve got to say the Cherry Bakewell was particularly yummy!

Fantastische Sorten, aber die Kugeln sind viel zu groß - ok, für 2 Pfund angemessen, aber es schmilzt und wird suppig. Besser wäre, mehrere Sorten für eine bestimmte Menge. Und den halben Keks im Cookies... konnte auch keiner essen.
