German Doner Kebab in Birmingham

Hmm where do i start the food tasted nice and thats about the only positive thing in this review in terms of value for money £8.00 well 7.50 is far to much for this portion very tiny portion and the worst thing of all was the onions they stank as soon as i opened the box could smell it i dont know if they were off or what but smelled really bad and really strong off putting!

Spent £44 old food and no sauce

Ordered from here and they forgot a portion of chips. Called to complain and hassan was adament that he'd put the chips in the bag along with the rest of the order. Why would I lie for the sake of a bag of chips🤣

On arrival the food was absolutely cold. Paid delivery fees and service fee to have cold food delivered

I went to German Doner in Moseley today, and Sohail took our order. His service was really good, and I really liked the food. I will definitely go again!

My food was cold the box that it came in was not properly closed

I doubt will ever go back them. Sorry to say but I think thy look who is taking the order. Last went there last Sunday. Mine was a very easy salad box doner ,but thy preferred to prepare then order after mine. When I gt some I felt so short changed. The salad was just literally 4 forks. The meat had burnt bits. We were very disappointed and that was dinner. Honestly. I had to cook.

I like GDK food, and all boys are very cooperative. Food is very good, I highly recommend it

Happy with overall dining experience and quality of food. Clean, spacious resturant suitable for families with ample parking space in the vicinity. Recommend the OG Kebab and spicy fries, whilst vegetarian options can be improved.

Ordered the Donner and fries. Food was okay not that great but the service was really good. Overall nice but they could more flavour to the donner as it tastes a bit bland. Nice seating area and aesthetics.

Donner was dry and stale, I wouldn’t order from this place again, was expecting a lot more but let me down. Period!

Staff did not let us lift a finger, food was 10/10 Would really recommend

No sauces included in the bag at all. Very disappointing. Won’t be ordering from here again.

Sohail was super friendly and had great customer service. Went out of his way to be helpful, which was much appreciated and rarely happens anymore! Also food was great, with good portions. Have been to other GDK’s which have been disappointing compared to this branch.

Clean Donner kebab established, had a box of mixed meat chips salad extra pickle and chips chilli sauce. Was expecting bitter acid pickle instead of sweet, found chilli was good but kebab meat was mildly flavoured and lacking some fat and grease. My wife would love it.

It was a pleasant experience, kids loved and enjoyed the food very much. We hope to visit soon again. Highly recommend

Won't be recommending to anyone to order here off just eat. It said food was delivered tried to get in touch with delivery driver kept going to voicemail when he txt I tried to txt bk and it wouldn't go through. Had to walk down to the shop to see if i could collect the kebabs and they had the audacity to tell me all they can do is give a refund as there was no beef left (fair enough as it was close to closing time) But the kebabs that was suppose to be delivered the delivery driver must of kept them for himself or took them home to feed his family because the workers in the shop didn't even say the delivery driver has come bk with the kebabs I ordered smh. Absolute joke especially when I put the full address with the door number! Just eat delivery drivers working with German kebab clearly have no sense!

3rd time ordering as I love it so much. However, I was disappointed this time as neither of the 2 signature garlic sauces I ordwred came with my food. I had to east my chips and spring rolls dry.

Food here is always so good Masha’Allah! I tried the Doner quesadilla for the first time it was delicious 👍 Brother Amad served us and showed great customer service and hospitality 🥰

Food took over an hour for them to make. (Ordered on UberEats). Kebab and chips were good. It came with the wrong sauce and the wrong drink. I ordered it at 10ish so maybe that’s why, but they say on here that they stay open til 1am. Ordered from here in the past and sometimes there’s issues like this but usually there’s no problems.

The kebabs were good. And a decent amount with the chicken meat and chips pot. But the side of "large" fries for £3.50....is ridiculously overpriced and small. I mean really small. Like a McDonalds "regular" portion small. Pretty disgusting as chips will be something they male their money on the most, but that took it to another level. Don't bother. The food was tasty enough, but to be honest, for taste and value for money I will be ordering from Marmaris in Kings Heath again next time...lesson learned, I shouldn't have strayed from the local independent business, and been lured by the chain.

got one of the box things with all the things in a box because i wanted doner, there's two pieces of doner and the rest is a salad

‘Large chips’ -what a joke! OG Kebabs were pale and bland -any chip shop does a better kebab than this. Everything grossly overpriced for what you actually get, was stunned at what little food arrived having spent £26. Arrived stone cold.

Food was ok nothing special only thing different is you get a small portion for a hefty price and its not as greasy as a chippy kebab

Absolute rip off, ordered the Donner quesadillas and instead I get wrap breads with 1 or 2 pieces of Donner, absolute utter joke!

I think you need to add more beef into the donner box

Every time I add £3 for extra beef in the donner box but it doesn’t seem to be extra , not really happy to be paying extra money for same normal box

I think you should have a bigger box for the extra beef option!! Because it doesn’t really feel that you get what you paid for!

The dinner box had more chips than beef which is not great.

Great food and harris who served us was great. He even cleaned up after us! Defo recommend giving this place a try if you like your kebabs

Delivery Lunch Ordered 8 spring rolls and gymbox. Food was delivered 45 minutes late and it was cold. Spring rolls were missing, so I called German doner Kabab they were not helful rather blamed the deliveroo driver that he did not deliver the spring rolls. They were surely lying as the moment driver delivered the food I opened it right in front of him and asked where are the spring rolls. He said this is all they gave. They asked us to come to store and collect if we need the rolls. If i have to go to store why would I order online? we will not order again from these guys. Really disappointed.

Recently had a food delivery, and it was quite satisfying! The donner was great.The food arrived hot and fresh, and the delivery was punctual. Overall, a good experience! Didnt fancy the fries so much but I wont order them next time.

We ordered around £35 of food at 5.30. It was delivered at 6 o’clock and was cold. The food quality was also awful. We will not be using GDK Moseley again. This food was meant to be for breaking our fasts. The time was such that we were not able to order elsewhere. After complaining to the shop we were told to call UberEats. This was meant to be a treat. It definitely wasn’t worthy of being called that. After complaining to UberEats we were given a refund of 79p. It seems like we were delivered unsold food that was cold. The panini had very little filling and sauce was spilled on the food.

did not get the right order al sauces contain dill specified i cant have it sent me a mixed kebab and bag of salad i ordered beef kebab with no sauce and two fries. declined helping me said go to just eat. the refunded me £8 and i paid £17 im actually so frustrated wouldnt even let me come to collect the right meal so i didmt lose out

The taste of the food was great. We ordered two times 2x OG doner and asked the kitchen to remove spices from our order. However, one of the doners always had spices in it. Hope next time, the kitchen will consider our request.

Good doner kebabs and good variation on the original German too. BTW its the wrap that makes it original German and I think its still the best.

I don’t even like donner but I come here. Order the salad chips mix box. Salad always tastes fresh and chips always taste good. Staff are great, when I eat in they’ll give me some extra sauce and salad. Really tasty. It’s nice and quiet in the day, super spacious.

The food came really cold which was very disappointing

Deliver guy didn’t have a clue what he was doing. Kept saying he was new, then tried to get me to talk to someone while holding my order even longer…

I ordered a mix OG kebab but just got beef in it

Delivery driver didn’t knock the door nor ring the doorbell to alert me that food had arrived. Neither did the app alert me. I only found the food had arrived when opening the door to let a friend in and seeing it on the doorstep stone cold!!

Great experience, tasty food, and reasonably priced

Ordered a boss box which contained the OG kebab, 2 spring rolls, fries, and a drink. I was shocked when I took a bite into a cold OG kebab. The bread of the OG kebab is amazing. Nice and crispy. If only it was given hot. The beef doner meat was nice as well. What I didn’t like was there was too much sauce inside. The rest of the food came hot. The spring rolls were really nice. Nothing was too oily.

Ahsan provided great service. Food is always good and it's clean and tidy inside so nice to sit in.

Food was generally good and tasty but completely ruined by rubbish delivery. It was barely luke warm and completely inedible without having to warm it up in the microwave. Not great doing this with soggy warm salad mixed inside. My last 3 deliveries with Just Eat have been really poor, cold food (regular occurrence) missed items and completely failed deliveries. I've had enough of Just Eat and will start using competitor apps more. Customer service contact is also slow and inconvenient.
