Always a great atmosphere, staff are always friendly with a smile and the Sunday lunch is incredible !

We had a lovely full breakfast on Saturday. The quality of the food was excellent and very tasty and it was fairly busy so just a nice atmosphere. I can also recommend the pastries and coffee. Our server Reece was just the best and very attentive and entertaining. Just what you need to start the day off. Thank you Reece

got prosecco white and red wine price difference from same weatherspoons as we 4.11 u get for prosecco and u get it there for about 7.65 pounds thats shitty but apart from that its flammed

Absolutely love this place, went yesterday afternoon/evening and it was brilliant. The Baron burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had and the cocktails are class! Reece who looked after us was superb and although completely rushed off his feet was a good crack. Be back again soon!

avoid this place. got into unnecessary trouble with the staff who were trying to charge us for drinks which were ordered by previous people at the table we were offered to sit at (drinks already half consumed). Ruined our night celebrating a friend's birthday. Staff only escalated the situation rather than listening (except one staff lady who understood the mistake but already too late)

Albert's Schloss has a wonderful atmosphere and authentic beer and eats. The food quality is always high. There's plenty of space here, laid out to represent Munich Beer Kellers. But at busy times you'll have to book as it gets very popular. Live music features a number of nights during the week.

We were recommended to try this place out. You MUST book a table, unfortunately, we only booked until 9.30 and right on the dot were asked to make way for the next shift. The bar has a German flavour, featuring live music, good beer and a lot of sausages. The live music means it is really too loud for conversation, and the size of the place means you can't see the band perform from everywhere. The waitresses were efficient, making sure you didn't sit there with empty glasses. There must have been ten hen nights in when we were there making it extra noisy. The food is overpriced for what you get and the drinks were of a premium too. By 9.30 you were just settling in so getting turfed out was annoying. Personally not my cup of tea, but judging by the queue of hopefuls I am in the minority.

Popped into Albert Schloss after going for a birthday meal in Birmingham today. As it was 7pm, the plan was to go for 1 drink with my wife and 2 children before we headed home. All staff members were really friendly and the service and drinks were very good. We even had the bonus of seeing a live singer too. Defo will be returning.

I must if near Victoria Square. Located close to Birmingham library also. Very different menu I do feel to do something for everybody on here. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Great kids menu available which is great. You don’t have to book atmosphere and ambience is really really cool.

Came yesterday for a meet up with our good friend, who had made the reservation for us, we had lovely lunch and drinks, a happy birthday was sung to my hubby, and Harry fetched him a birthday cake plate and shots! Harry was very welcoming and had a great sense of humour, entertainment was fab in a lovely setting ! I'm sorry for joining in the singing 🤣thanks guys will deffo come again.

Myself and my friend were not allowed in to use the toilet despite explaining to the bouncer there was a medical reason we needed access, yet they let a group of people jump over the barrier in front of the whole queue so that tells you everything you need to know about how this place operates. Disappointed, was our birthday night out as well but thankfully some really nice bouncers down the road in another venue saw this occur and let us in even though they were closing :)

Very much a huge bar by anyones standards. Nicely done out and a place people seemed to be drinking and eating in from early doors. Live entertainment also. Some private rooms available if you book. Food did look good. Only came in for one drink. Nice outside area though. Very clean and staff all seemed to know what they were doing to be fair. Toilets are upstairs. Security was plenty but polite. This would be a good place for large groups. Lacked a little bit of character for my taste but it is hugely popular.

My husband and I met up with an old friend a few weeks ago and decided that we would try to get a table here. Not only were we able to snag a table, but we had delicious food and amazing service - thanks Reece! Everyone loved their food: the lamb shawarma, currywurst, and mushroom spätzle. Great atmosphere, great food, and excellent service!

Honestly, absolutely spectacular! We were served by Robert who was amazing! Loads of vegetarian options and great staff! Drinks looked amazing even though we didn’t try any. We will definitely be back!

We pre-booked a table which was just as well because the place was heaving and there was live music. It was phenomenally loud My husband and I could barely hear eachother speak. The place was buzzing and many people were clearly enjoying themselves, singing along to the music. I have to say it was a relief for us when the live music took a break and went back to background music. The service was a vast contrast to which we received when Reese was looking after us. Our waiter didn't introduce himself. Didn't smile, just took the order. Fortunately I spotted Reese and he did a double take and came over, having remembered us from two months ago. How lovely was that. That cheered us up !

Visited on 26th July. Atmosphere is great here and had such a good time dancing on tables and interacting with the dancers there. Live music is fantastic. However staff behind the bar are miserable. I ordered a margarita from a woman behind the bar, who didn’t reply to me but turned to her colleague and rolled her eyes. I asked for salt on the rim and she told me to “calm down, do one thing at a time” very strange and rude. It’s really clear the staff behind the bar here would rather be anywhere else. If you hate your job so much my suggestion would be to calm down and go and work somewhere else. Puts a bit of a downer on an otherwise lovely evening.

Went here for a leaving do and it had a great atmosphere with the live band. It was really handy that there were waiters on hand around the table where you could just order a drink and then split the bill at the end. This made it very easy with a large group.

We had a great night here post show on Saturday. Considering how busy it was the food was delicious and the waiting staff were outstanding (I'm so sorry I can't remember his name) Fab band and great music selection from dj in-between sets. As others have previously mentioned the bar staff let the rest of the staff down. Surly and indifferent. The 2 who served us looked like they'd rather be anywhere else! which is fine but go get a non customer facing job!!!! Apart from that everything else was fab. Well done A S will defo come again.

I had a great seat and enjoyed the thought of having a pint and seeing 'The Swing Cats' from Spain. However ,I couldn't hear them. Apparently they are very good,but I can't review them.I can review the beer 2/10.

booked as a table of nine to celebrate my graduation and the staff couldn’t have made it a better experience. we were greeted at the door by a lovely member of staff, i’m assuming he was the manager, and when he overheard it was my graduation he gave us two complimentary bottles of prosecco for the table which was so unexpected. the food and drinks we ordered were amazing and our lovely waiter harry even brought over complimentary shots for the table to celebrate my graduation and even a personalised brownie which was so nice of him. me and my family had the best time and want to thank everyone for going above and beyond for us to make the day so special.

Unequivocally, this is the best place to go in Brum. Great atmosphere, splendid staff, excellent food & drink. Ticks all the boxes and more besides.

Was passing by in the morning and walked in to take a look at the place. My wife and I were greeted by the manager (Olivia). She showed us around and we had a drink and light snack. We sat at the bar and had a very nice conversation with bar lady (Anastazja) who was very knowledgeable about cocktails, and super engaged. Wow! We will be coming back. The management and staff are wonderful. This is very rare to find.

FTAO: The manager (Albert Schloss) I think my review says it all really, apart from the fact that it was my friend’s 40th Birthday Celebration and the bouncer ruined his plans as Albert Schloss was the meeting point. He had to ring circa 15 people to change the plans for the evening. One of my friends actually gained entry after we left the bar. He was also asked ‘who he was with’ but it was in a polite different manner. He explained he was meeting a mate for Birthday celebrations and was let straight in. It makes perfect sense to me now as my friend is white! A couple of days later I bumped into a friend who has invited me to join them in another birthday celebration at Albert Schloss - sadly I declined invite…I find it difficult to spend money where I’m made to feel uncomfortable in the city where I’ve lived all my life.

Lovely German / Austrian style venue, fantastic food menu, superb beer choices, attentive welcoming staff and reasonable prices. Lunch menu worth a look.

Had visited the Liverpool Schloss earlier in the year and the Birmingham one is every bit as good. Went for the currywurst bier halle style for dinner which was very nice (though I didn't realise the Bavarian potatoes would be served cold). Also had a fantastic cheesecake and a delicious Irish coffee. Went back the next day for breakfast and the mushrooms with potato rosti was great. Wish they'd open one of these in Nottingham - it'd do well for sure.

I get to the bar at 6pm on Saturday it’s my friend’s birthday. He’s in the beer garden with other guests, I’ve just spoken to him. I asked the doorman at the exit if I can enter from there and he politely says “you have to enter through the main door.” No problem I reply. As I walk towards the main door the ‘Head bouncer’ says “hey where you going?” Inside I reply, he then steps very close to me looks me up and down and aggressively says “who are you with?” I said “I’m on my own meeting my mate it’s his Birthday.” He then says they have a policy which states: a customer cannot enter on their own, you must be with someone. (I’ve been to Albert Schloss many times on my own) my friends are already in the bar I reply Well I can’t see them he said loudly so you’d best phone them tell them to come to the door. Is this for real? I ask and then the Head bouncer starts shouting in my face if you don’t like it you don’t have to come in! At this point I’m trying to find my friends phone number in my contacts on my phone but it’s taking long so I quickly ask Siri to find the number. The Head bouncer then gets aggressive again and shouts “right! You’re not coming in with that attitude! What attitude? I reply, he said you are standing there muttering. I said I’m trying to find the number. He repeats your not coming in here! I asked why has he decided to single me out and he just keeps repeating your not coming in here. I tell him that I’ve been to the bar many times so what’s the big deal. At this point my friends (who can see me from the beer garden) go and speak to one of the other bouncers. The bouncer says if I apologise then the head bouncer might let me into the bar. I said no, I did nothing wrong so there’s nothing to apologise for. I did apologise to my friend though, he felt obliged to leave Albert Schloss on his birthday celebration to join me in another nearby bar which welcomed us without aggressive Head Bouncers with misaligned motives. Please note: this is a decent bar with a great atmosphere, I haven’t eaten there yet and I’m told the food is good but this treatment felt like racism in the 70’s, I thought we’d past all that but it’s still prevalent and people like that Bighead bouncer at Albert Schloss in Birmingham just enforce it.

Getting unsafe there. Constant fighting, got injured from getting caught in-between a group of men fighting with each other. They need to restore their formal to smart casual dress code and stricter security.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Amazing food, service, entertainment. Few places I find as enjoyable for a meal out.

Stopped off as a group for a late Sunday Breakfast. It was quite quiet in the place when we arrived though got busier as time went on. The service was friendly and attentive and even with the large numbers of us the drinks and food came out in good time (think leisurely unrushed breakfast rather than speedy) and they ensured we had plenty of drinks and were comfortable whilst we waited. As a big coffee drinker I was impressed with their coffee, which had good well balanced flavours with little of the bitterness that can sometimes come from darker roasts (the coffees are quite small though and only come in one size). I had maple pancakes with bacon and egg, which was hot tasty and well cooked. My wife had the cookhouse (full English) which again was reported to be excellent. For some reason on a Sunday Morning they had a DJ. The music was good, but nothing that could not have been replaced with a Spotify playlist and someone cutting in between tracks to say stuff to people at the tables. (Not annoying, but felt like a bizarre choice). I'm not a beer drinker so didn't try any of their offerings, but it seems like something they pride themselves in with many varieties even highlighting when the cask/tank was opened. Will be returning when next in the area.

Popped in an hour ago, after enjoying good service and meal on our last visit, about 4 months ago to which we ordered off a main menu and not small/light bites. This time unable to find full menu, no staff to ask, no one behind bar? when a member of staff finally appeared( about 10 minutes after arriving shea approached our table and we thought we were in luck however, there was no acknowledgement of us, just picked up empty glass and walked off🤔 We ordered off the main menu on our last visit which was excellent, friendly service so disappointed writing this review 😔however on this occasion it's a thumbs down, can only presume no staff? We walked out! not the normal German hospitality you received at 4 pm expecting to eat and drink.

I recently visited ' Albert's Schloss ' and had a delightful experience. The ambiance was vibrant and welcoming, creating an enjoyable atmosphere for a night out with Live music and well-crafted cocktails.

I went on a Saturday night with friends, I had never been before so didn't know what to expect. They had a lady singer and a band on who were really good. The place got absolutely rammed very quickly, it was a struggle to move around to get to the bar and the toilet, and people were allowed to stand on the benches to dance..drinks very expensive so bare that in mind.

Visited (not for the first time), on Sunday 9th June for my dad's 60th birthday. The waiters/waitress couldn't do enough for our party of 8! A table nearby even bought my dad a drink, we were then shocked to be told that we could all have a dessert each, ON THE HOUSE. My dad had never been happier going out for a meal in such a lovely venue, with an amazing atmosphere, great music and very very very good food. Thoroughly impressed with how smooth the afternoon/evening went, everything was perfect. Mia was our waitress/waiter for the evening and she was amazing. An absolute credit to the Albert Schloss Birmingham team and a genuine person! Thank you so much, we will be back! (Didn't take any photos because we were too busy enjoying ourselves!) I highly recommend this place to everyone, of all ages. Whether you're after a lively Sunday dinner or a wild week day evening out... it has it all. You won't regret it. Ed

Great sunday afternoon for my other half's birthday, she loved it, food was fantastic, great german beer, had the bevarian feast, you need a big appetite, lol, thanks to Reece for looking after us.

We had a lovely late morning snack/early lunch here with the kids - thanks to the fantastic service, delicious food and coffee and impressive-but-chilled environment. The pretzels 🥨, coffee ☕, and pastries 🍩 were all hot and fresh. The toilets were clean (and the kids loved the rainbow double toilet). 🚽🌈🚽 The music and lighting were perfect for the time of day ☀️🎶

Walked up to the door with my friends on a hen do. Told to take off all sashes and other bits off, in order to let us in. We're in 21st century where you can identify as whatever you like! So what's all this about? Anyway, we walked in and walked back out as my living room had more going on that this place.

We had lovely lunch at AS Birmingham. Service was superb, her name was Paige. Drinks came promptly and food was fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble for her , she’s an asset to your company.

Very nice place with a big parking lot nearby. Just 4 mins walk to the place from the car park. If you are coming out during the weekend try to be early as there tends to be a very long queue every weekend. I prefer visiting on Thursday because of the shows that’s performed. Will totally recommend going on Thursday. The drinks are also very affordable but when they are busy like the weekends, you need to wait a lot of time to be attended to.

Loads of events each night with a fantastic selection of beers, wines and schnapps. Not necessarily the place to go if you want to have a conversation as a group, but a really fun time.

A lovely, authentic venue with fantastic food, accompanied by a great range of Beers and wines (a few more German wines would have been appreciated). The cherry on the top was our host (Reece) who was attentive, prompt, informative, erudite and discrete. A total joy that epitomised the venue's, Raison d' etre.

Visually, it's a really cool place in a great location. Service was very good for most of the meal but our last drink and coffee order had been forgotten - not sure if there was a change in server which caused this. The food was pretty good. My husband loved his schnitzel with spaghetti. My fish goujons weren't actually goujons but two smaller pieces of battered fish (with lots of batter), fairly tasty. The live music was WAY TOO LOUD for an early evening meal (around 5.30). It was really hard to have a conversation across a table of 4 people. The background music was at a better volume when the live music wasn't playing.

Wheelchair access ,brilliant place to visit,eat,drink and socialise. Staff were brilliant. Please thank grace for her hospitality. Will be back again

Generally a lively place to go…. on the weekends. Weekdays the staff are minimal and unhappy in the Birmingham location. It’ll take 10 mins before anyone shows any sign of making a living. It’s only the one for me here tonight. Too bad, as it’s a very nice venue, but ripe for a robotic takeover.

Disappointing Sunday roast today. Measly amount of veg and roasties to share between 4 people. Roasties were also rock hard and dry. Beef was nice but everything else was a let down and luke warm. Waitress was nice though.

Extra special breakfast with The Angel of the Morning Today’s visit was for bank holiday breakfast but they weren’t serving breakfast so we had pastries and waited until lunch menu was available. Fantastic meal as always

Venue, entertainment & atmosphere is very good. Food is awful- freezing cold & told me they could microwave our meals. Main course served & veg arrived approximately 15 minutes later. Ordered a gateau & was given a brownie without choice. Staff attitude was apologetic but no resolve.

Fabulous night out, first time there, atmosphere and food was great couldn't fault it, live band was amazing loved the crowd participation. First time gave everything 5* Went again 3.5.24 for birthday, quite empty, ordered starters some burnt, main was barely warm, they did replace one which was very hot but the evening was spoilt by them, we did get compliments drinks so thank you for that but I would like to continue to give you great feedback and 5* just not this time around.

Albert schlosh is a lovely place to eat, the food was exceptional along with the service and atmosphere, our waitress, themi's made the whole experience more special as it was our 28th wedding anniversary, they even gave us complimentary desserts, the dj was great and the whole restaurant theme is amazing, I would highly recommend this restaurant and will be going back very soon, thankyou to all staff for making our anniversary very special. And definitely visit the photo booth, pictures are £1 which goes to charity, and the gif is free.

Smorgasbord is perfect for sharing 😍👌🏼 It was very busy, overcrowded slightly, could hardly move around. Still a very good bar/ restaurant. I’ll be coming back for more!

From the moment you walk into this beautiful bar/restaurant I feel at home. I opted for a full English breakfast and a pot of earl grey too. Amazing atmosphere , service and plenty of choice . I special mention to Shanice who went above and beyond for my visit .

Visited twice both times Tirani was excellent ensuring we were seated. On our second visit we enjoyed banter with Reece as he busied himself making sure all customers were loved after. Ps the currywurst wasn't bad either.

I went with my family (a party of 12) for my birthday, we had an absolutely fantastic time! The food was incredible and the service and atmosphere was even better. We were all really impressed and had no complaints about anything at the end of the night. A massive thanks to Taz and Telma for making our experience a night to remember. Absolutely is a beautiful place to eat, drink, celebrate, sing, dance and feel like in family & friends.

Popped in during a quiet Tuesday evening on the way home from the theatre - we noticed a live musician performing through the windows and a glowing fire feature. The atmosphere was lovely inside, not too busy but still enough of a vibe to not feel awkward. There were a variety of different customers - a couple of large groups eating meals, several couples / dates and small friendship groups also lots of solo guests - making this place feel quite relaxed for anyone to pop in. Not at all like the bustling weekend vibe I have encountered previously which is great but totally different. It’s great to see a venue like this be so adaptable for different clientele midweek. I found my mocktail to be delicious - £7 which is a more premium price but typical for such a premium location - They used high quality ingredients and made it in front of me at the bar with great attention to detail - and I’m fairly fussy with my drinks. Service impeccable with great tasting mocktails.

Old Dicky boy (Richard) does amazing cocktails, I recommend the amaretto sour and espresso martini! Definitely encapsulates the spirit of this fun bar 🥳🍻🥃 Delcio, Keelan and Glyn aren’t too bad either 😏

Popped in for drinks and managed to catch some of the live music which was on that afternoon which was a bonus. When we first went in we didnt see any available seats, but waited a few minutes and some became available, from the hour we were there i noted the turnover of people was pretty even so nobody waited more than a few minutes to get a seat.

Great meeting place really spacious freindly staff.good ambience witg live musi i can.t comment on the food we were just drinking but it certainly looked good
