The food was an hour later than first stated. The food was cold when it arrived which is a shame as we’ve ordered before and had had a good experience ☹️

Order took over an hour. Part of the order was missing (spring rolls).

The meat was undercooked. The boss box is not worth it. Too expensive for what you actually get. The sauce pots are tiny. Portion of chips was small. Messed up my order. Sent the wrong items plus my order was missing my donughts. Not a great first experience.

Best place for eating. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Food quality is so good and delicious. Bread quality is so fresh. Meat is so juicy and sauces too good.I would recommend to all must try to German doner kebab.

Hands down the best vegan kebab with a meat substitute we’ve ever had. The kebab was juicy, flavorful and quite fresh! When a German approves, then it’s good. A unique kebab venue with a very corporate look with screens, self order machines and more. Made fast and fresh, good service and great vibes. Will go again during our stay.

I had lunch at German Doner Kebab today, and it was amazing! The meat was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the flatbread was warm and soft. Love the food from GDK, always super tasty. But the service is quite poor, they often miss out added extras that are paid for and almost always forget sauce pots that should come with sides.

Ordered on just eat last night food did Not arrive was given a time of 840-920 pm and did not arrive... It's not in my orders either so they have taken my money and not received no food... Next door have a doorbell cam aswell and it shows no delivery all night so wasn't even later... Avoid unless u want ur money taken and ripped off

Second time I received my Veggie Kebab with spicy sauce that should not be in. I think someone preparing food confuses Veggie Kebab and OV Kebab Vegetarian and adds spicy sauce to the first one. Just eat would not accept orders as made incorrectly.

German Doner Kebab in York has a truly inviting atmosphere. Despite how busy it is, the food is always prepared with great efficiency and care. The staff are friendly as well. In particular, Zubie went above and beyond to ensure my experience exceeded my expectations. Definitely a spot to visit!

Recently moved to York for university, wanted to find a nice place to eat. Found that GDK was well worth the price. The chilli cheese bites are a must have. Customer service was spot on as I didn’t know what to get, but Zubie was really helpful. All in all GDK is a fantastic place to eat and if you’re visiting York anytime soon you should definitely give it a visit!

Kcal kebab is heavy but it wasnt distributed across the bread properly so sometimes i’d just take a big bite of salad, who wants a big bite of salad? Not me i want it evenly distributed, when i took a bite full of salad it felt like my taste buds were screaming in agony, as if they just had the worst experience if their life, cheers gdk my taste buds r dead now

These ingrates kept their just eat availability as open, even though they werent, a bunch of scam artists and they should have their business shut down if theyre clearly too idiotic to handle saying they are closed, I still havent recieved my money back, and if it is not payed back, I will be at the place to enact my own consequences.

I had an amazing experience at the GDK! The food was absolutely delicious. The standout, however, was the exceptional service from Zubie - she was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. Highly recommend for both the food and the fantastic client care!

Food is always warm and on time. The whole experience is made by Zoubie, she is always bubbly and happy and makes for a great atmosphere.

The food was delicious but Zubie really stood out with her excellent service. She went above and beyond in her kindness and could tell that she really took care of her team! Would come back just to see her!

This is my 100th review and I'm.glad it's a positive one What can I say this was gorgeous and I mean gorgeous. Iike that you can mix the meats and have a bit of both and they have a HUGE selection on their menu there's something for everyone here. The food is also Halal so literally anybody can eat here which is a positive. The only negative thing is the lack of Lamb doner meat usually this would bother me but it doesn't it's still really nice. If Lamb doner meat ever goes on the menu this review will be updated to a 5 star review and it was so close to been one. Cannot recommend more. Open late on weekends. I'll definitely be back!

Items were wrong and missing. we have had this problem before. Its frustrating because the food is really tasty but I'm always reluctant to use this place because of the risk it will be a wrong order.

Had to give this place 5 star reviews after the amazing food and especially the amazing service from Zubie. She was extremely friendly, very kind hearted and definitely made me want to come here more often. I never usually write reviews, but the food and service was absolutely amazing. We had dined in for the first time at GDK and were taken care of by lovely Zubie who absolutely brightened up our day. She recommended the doner wrap which was perfect after such a long day. We were truly caterd to by Zubie throughout the experience, she offered us new sauces and beverages - her friendly personality made it worth returning again. Overall would highly recommend over again.

This fast food kabab shop is a little different. Contemporary design, well lit and with order terminals to make it easy. Food pretty good, fresh and served quickly, piping hot. value 50/50, will try again as we ordered some combo meals which were pricy.
