The food was delicious but Zubie really stood out with her excellent service. She went above and beyond in her kindness and could tell that she really took care of her team! Would come back just to see her!

Worst kebab I've ever had! Cold and Very greasy

This is my 100th review and I'm.glad it's a positive one What can I say this was gorgeous and I mean gorgeous. Iike that you can mix the meats and have a bit of both and they have a HUGE selection on their menu there's something for everyone here. The food is also Halal so literally anybody can eat here which is a positive. The only negative thing is the lack of Lamb doner meat usually this would bother me but it doesn't it's still really nice. If Lamb doner meat ever goes on the menu this review will be updated to a 5 star review and it was so close to been one. Cannot recommend more. Open late on weekends. I'll definitely be back!

Items were wrong and missing. we have had this problem before. Its frustrating because the food is really tasty but I'm always reluctant to use this place because of the risk it will be a wrong order.

I never usually write reviews, but the food and service was absolutely amazing. We had dined in for the first time at GDK and were taken care of by lovely Zubie who absolutely brightened up our day. She recommended the doner wrap which was perfect after such a long day. We were truly caterd to by Zubie throughout the experience, she offered us new sauces and beverages - her friendly personality made it worth returning again. Overall would highly recommend over again.

Hardly no chicken in the kebab.hash browns soggy. Asked for Fanta and got stilled water . Won’t be eating from there any more

This fast food kabab shop is a little different. Contemporary design, well lit and with order terminals to make it easy. Food pretty good, fresh and served quickly, piping hot. value 50/50, will try again as we ordered some combo meals which were pricy.

Ordered delivery from here while in York for the weekend. Waste of money! Almost £20 for a donner box with fries & paid for extra meat. The box was just over half full, meat was very dry, as if it had been lying for hrs & there was about 3 tables spoons of meat (if that)! Also ordered 3 tubs of sauce, which were tiny. The size of the paper ones you get in Mcds. Very disappointing overall, defo won't be back.

Over an hour late and then the wrong order was delivered and the shop didn’t even offer to redeliver, they just suggested I contact just eat for a refund. No concern that had someone else’s order or if I had any allergy concerns! Dangerous practice

From the moment I walked in, the vibe of the place was great—modern, clean, and super welcoming. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely incredible. The doner kebab was packed with flavor. The meat was tender and perfectly spiced, the veggies were fresh and crisp, and the bread was soft and warm. And those sauces? Wow! They tied everything together beautifully. I also tried their fries, which were perfectly seasoned and cooked just right—crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. What made the visit even better was the amazing service, especially from Prathik, one of the staff members. He was so friendly and attentive, taking the time to explain the menu and even helping me choose what to try. His recommendations were spot on, and his warm demeanor made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. Even though the restaurant was quite busy, the service was fast, and everything was presented so well. You can tell they really care about quality and customer experience. If you’re looking for delicious food and great service, I can’t recommend **German Doner Kebab** enough. Huge thanks to Prateek and the rest of the team for making my visit so memorable. The disabled loos doors lock didn't work and I didn't know this so some dude walked in on me. I complained the owners. It says lift to lock which I did and it doesn't lock

The slowest GDK in history(!?) I've been to loads around the UK. Awful system whereby those in the queue for twenty minutes were my being served, although had niche requests which the machine couldn't handle, whereas others were coming in and ordering on the kiosks and having their food prepared whilst people were still in the same queue with one guy serving one till with a dozen customers. The rest at the back presumably making the stuff but didn't seem to be in a hurry or bothered about the impatient customers. Food was great though 👌🏽 after about twenty minutes literally left the queue and went to machine to order and sat down - just gave up trying to speak to someone

I placed an order on Just Eat containing 4 items and only 1 of them arrived, and it was cold. I can't be certain if the restaurant forgot the rest of the order, or if the driver just decided to keep it for himself, but regardless of that the experience was awful and the small amount of the order that did arrive was disappointing.
