German Doner Kebab in York

Waiting over 2 hours for 3 kebabs to be made as delivered.

And the order was wrong as well I asked for extra chicken. I just got chicken and the chips didn’t come either. Normally, they are very reliable.

quality wasn't great, not a lot of meat for the overall price, disappointed this time, spring roll ok..

What a delightful meal. Get the mixed meat, garlic and hot sauce. You will not be disappointed. Epic.

quality when down a mile. you pay more for extra chicken and you get less. this is unacceptable and theft. hope did business goes bankrupt with all the complaints. I know how the donner boxes were in the past .

Adrian had us sat there for an hour and refused us food because his system was down! Even though we'd walked 3.5 miles! Rude and aggressive! I've eat there with my work colleagues for years. Never again! Salty staff!!

Didnt follow requests despite paying extra asked for no spicy sauce or tomato and had both. Paid for feta cheese and there was none

Very bad customer service the person who was doing the orders was prolonged and rude, when we got there to order at the counter because we had a discount card and could not use it in the machine, were told off because we dared to order at the counter.

Reenu, I love the kebab the OG one specifically

The food was as far from a German kebab as it can be. The service was almost non-existent. We had to clean our table ourselves because no one from the service had felt responsible for it. When the food came, we were given the wrong one and there was no one left to complain, almost every employee suddenly disappeared. I wouldn't visit the shop again, let alone recommend it to someone who wants to eat real German kebab. But the music would be positive to mention, it was quite good. In some parts of Germany you would say that you would rather kiss an asshole than come here to eat again.

Either can’t read or just chose not to get your order right. Tried their luck as we put for takeaway and then decided to sit in.

Many days I was in York, I was out late on business. So, I was very lucky to find GDK. Good food - Reasonable price - Open later. I never seemed to tire of it, either. It just routinely "Hit the Spot." More than once, I found myself wishing we had these back in the States, especially in Colorado Springs!

GDK Piccadilly never hesitates in going above and beyond to provide the best customer experience. Despite the rush, they are prompt, accurate and in top shape to give its customers the best experience possible. Special shout out to Ajay, Arjun and Rex in giving an amazing service on my last visit!! Thanks guys! Keep up the amazing work!!

Bit of a shocker and a health hazard. The floors were obviously all moped with the kitchen mop, kids were slipping and sliding around the place, won't be long before they have a slip/trip/fall lawsuit. That's if they survive the uncooked chicken in the kebab. We sent it back, and they gave us gristle and burnt bits instead. This was at lunchtime. Had to use the toilets and they were filthy. Staff are too lax about cleanliness and hygiene. Can't risk eating here again. If you're sober, keep on walking past.

I think the staff have been sacked from McDonalds, you do not get what you order! When you're paying top dollar for fast food they should atleast get your order right. I asked for NO ONIONS & there were more onions than donna meat. Not impresses!

The amount of chicken inside each sandwich were ridiculously little complaining with the price, the chicken box as well was filled with chips and again the amount of chicken was almost nothing I paid about £50 and I am absolutely not happy that’s really a scam

Grim. Second time been in to this dirty restaurant. Ordered then couldn't find a clean table. Food was disappointing. Cold fries, lack of kebab, over priced, geaay and sloppy. The cheesy chips were a gloooy disgusting slop.

yet again GD get my order wrong. this time sent with no salad, just meat. simple mistakes every time, items missing, chips freezing cold. the receipt stapled to the bag always has what I ordered printed on it so why can't the staff read it and include what I ordered. this is once too often, I will never be ordering from GD again!!!!

Compared to other locations of this chain, it is poor here, they don't even serve kebab sauce, and it's like serving no kebab, only shavings of meat and vegetables. The meat and vegetables are also poor, the quality is simply poor.

It was disgusting ! I ordered GDK Doner Box Fries and it was not eatable. There was completly no meat but only a fat and disgusting skin instead of meat. Had to put it all to the bin. Will never order again from GDK.

Came in enquiring about a 3Plus incentive. Unable to use directly in store but Reenu was approachable and directed me on how to make use of this via the app. Bargain for a fiver with friendly service too. Have only ever visited on one occasion before. The service and standards have improved greatly

The food arrived quickly and was incredibly fresh and tasty, the guy that served us was called nitin (I think), was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making our visit even more enjoyable. All staff at York GDK deserve some praise & Thankyou! Been here couple of times now & will definitely be going back very soon.

I literally can’t count the number of times I have eaten here, … the meals here are delicious & hygienic, the customer service is top notch and the atmosphere of the restaurant is calming and beautiful (if you want instagram worthy spots to take photos, this is the place 👍). You definitely need to visit here when you come to York - it’s right in the city centre 💯 The last time I ate there, the staff that attended to me (Reenu) was very pleasant and helpful, courteous and ever smelling 👍🏾💯

This is my most favorite place to eat either alone or with friends/family when theyre visiting. The food is super good and its halal. The facilities are clean and you’re sure to find a place to sit. Its easy to find very central to town. The staff is always ALWAYS super friendly (shoutout to reno 🩵 she’s a sweetheart)

This was a great restaurant for dining, with plenty of self-service kiosks available by the entrance! The orange theme is inviting and the kebab logo is a neat touch, staff were friendly too. I enjoyed a kebab meal full of the dressing with the suitably named flaming fries and a Coke, although the spring rolls left an unpleasant aftertaste.

This is the second time in the last month that we have visited York. The second time we have been to this restaurant. The second time it was very dirty, especially the toilet. Your restaurant was not full of customers, is it really impossible to clean the toilet, clear the tables, sweep the floor from the food????? I think that 3 people are not enough staff for this restaurant. Or there should be 3 very active people working, which I did not notice. The kiosk does not issue receipts, the board with order numbers does not work, that is, in order to find out what is happening with my order, I had to stand in line for 15 minutes while some couple made theirs order. I really love quesadilla. We ordered sauces with it. Guys, spicy sauce should definitely not taste like this, I know this 100%. It was sour and disgusting. Read the recipe again, how to cook it correctly, and use the right ingredients for cooking!!!! Next time I'm in York, I'll definitely pass by this restaurant. You need to work on everything... Where is the manager looking?

We walked in and ordered a box with meat salad and fries and also a drink. The food was at our table very quickly it was tasty also nice and hot. There was a young lady clearing tables and sweeping up. Yes, it was a nice change for us. Thank you.

Great place. Have been coming here for ages. The beef doner box with fries (don’t forget flaming fries) is my frequent go to. The meat is halal and they have a certificate. They have a student discount as well. Reenu does a great job and the staff are super friendly
