German Doner Kebab in Brighton and Hove

This was the best dinner I have ever had and they even wrote a little note on our receipt which was really sweet, I hope the workers are having a good Sunday !!!

Really tasty mixed meat wrap, prepared quickly and tasted how a kebab should taste, I've just realised how ask these other places have been giving the bare minimum, this is what a kebab wrap should be!

Not a great place to eat, check your order before you leave as they seem to forget something every time. Food is ok for what it is, an expensive sandwich.

As a German I have to say it’s a very authentic and good Döner Kebab. The Server Sidney was amazing. Would definitely recommend you to try it out. German Döner Kebab is not far away!

Best kebab I've ever had! The hash brown bites were lovely, I had the curry ones and the chips were also good, I had the flaming ones. Would definitely eat again.

GDK is an all time favourite- great place to sit with friends but also great to work. And of course great food. Sabi was very polite while attending us and he made sure to check up on us later with regard to food and service. Totally recommend.

It was my first time visiting Bristol. Looking for food after 9pm, came across with GDK, Bristol. I loved the food and the best thing was they have plenty of options for a vegetarian like me. I recommend please do visit.

Visited GDK yesterday and ordered two kebab boxes (one with chicken and second one mixed). I couldn’t even eat chicken because it tasted raw and seemed uncooked. My brother’s box was fine but he agreed that mine was raw.

Today was my first time trying this GDK. Although the place was clean, tidy and had nice staff, the food was not good at all. The presentation, taste and quality was horrible.

If I ever go back to German diner kibob I’ll be bringing two phones: one to call the mayor and give him the time of his life, one to call his sister for a top korma. Class act. Would recommend.

I am a regular GDK customer, and this was my first time visiting your Brighton store—unfortunately, it will also be my last. From the moment we walked in, we were hit with a foul stench, as if the same mop water had been used for weeks. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was extremely poor. The staff were disengaged and unfriendly—we had to prompt them just to be served. When I asked for the toilets, I was simply pointed in the general direction, only to find out they were locked and required a code. I had to return and ask again just to gain access. The toilets, like the rest of the establishment, were absolutely filthy. Despite our concerns about hygiene, we gave the food a chance—only for my sister to find a hair in her fries. When she politely asked for them to be replaced, she was told, “It’s not hair, it’s something else,” with zero apology or accountability. Unsurprisingly, she couldn’t finish her food after that. This was an entirely unacceptable experience, both in terms of cleanliness and customer service. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as it reflects very poorly on your brand.

The food here was amazing! 9/10 The only problem was the dirty tables. Other than that, Perfection! One of the best restaurants I’ve been to.

Tiny portions, I thought that they had forgotten the chips, but they were underneath the kebab meat and there was only a few mouthfuls of that.

delivery driver was useless,couldn't find me even with detailed directions. food was cold by the time he eventually got here. not restaurants fault.

They keep getting my order wrong or giving me someone else's order!!!! The amount of times I've lost money to their ridiculous service!!! They even miss out items when they try to change back orders. Having to keep opening my orders beforehand and check is ridiculous Waste of money coming here!!!

I've been in branch and I've also ordered delivery from tgis place. What I find is not consistent with is portion sizes and you feel like you've been ripped off a little every now and then. The food itself is nice and the fact they do make effort in bringing new items is good just hope the can make it more affordable for people and keep up the standard. It is nice having a place like this in brighton. The place is big and plenty of seating, not the cleanest but once the tables are cleaned its not a bad spot to grab a quick bite.

Really poor experience. I asked for an amendment to an order and they refused without giving a good reason. Plus they refused to let me eat in the store when it was open. Really poor customer service

One of the best things about German Doner Kebab is the variety of options they have to offer. From their delicious wraps to their tasty boxes and crispy fries, there is something for everyone. Went and had a chicken with fries, the chicken was very dry and the chips were standard. It was very quiet and it took around 30 mins for food to arrive.

We came here for lunch and Ameera was super helpful. Also she was going around cleaning tables which I feel I never see in any other fast food restaurants. The place looks really clean. Props to her! And the food was super tasty and cheap.

Edit;Following the review below and 2 years later,I gave them another go.Still terrible. Greasy and tastes awful. I'm not sure what the spring rolls are about but they were disgusting. I honestly don't know how GDK became a big chain and why they're so busy?? Never had kebab as terrible as this! I don't have any words to describe it. Won't be going back and definitely don't recommend.

Second time here. I ordered a gym box with mix chicken and beef. I received mostly cabbage. Very little meat in the box and only when I got towards the bottom I realised there was no chicken either. I'll stick to my local kebab where I can get a big box of mixed doner meat, enough to last 2 days for the same money.

Food was cold, v little sauce on kebab and vegan 'meat' was chewy and tasteless. Would not recommend as veggie kebab option.

I thought it was very expensive at first but it was a cut above a normal kebab shop I was really impressed with the flavours and quality of their ingredients Will try something else next time.

The guy at the front (I think is name was Juber) gave me great service and was very fast.

I am on the carnivore diet and asked if I could get kebab meat only. Spent £8 got all the way home to find a bread wrapped sauce and veg kebab with a paltry bit of meat inside. Pathetic... also the meat is dry tasteless. Just another hopeless chain designed to give as little as possible for as much money as possible. AVOID. Brighton has many kebab houses better than this, nearly all of them in fact.

Cuando me preguntaron si quería una bebida y no entendía, el funcionario se sintió visiblemente frustrado, incluso sopló aire irritado. A pesar de estar con mi novio y solo otras dos parejas presentes, esperamos una hora para nuestro pedido. Si el personal hubiera mostrado un poco de amabilidad, no me habría importado la espera. Sin embargo, su comportamiento poco profesional era inaceptable. Además, la comida era grasa, y las porciones eran pequeñas en comparación con los altos precios. No voy a volver.

Very impolite staff. The place was not too busy, nevertheless the staff were apparently unhappy that I showed up there with my girlfriend. They whinged just because we ordered our foods with a broken accent. I mean Brighton is a city for tourism, therfore they should expect people with different backgrounds to visit this place. Moreover, the quality of the foods there is an issue. The meats is too fatty and untatsy. My advice to them: please smile and be polite to foreign visitors. It is definitely my last time there

The chips where not warm but they did have to deliver it about 6 miles but the kebab made up for it especially there home made bread one of the best kebabs iv ever had just suggest the delivery drivers have hot bags to keep it warm

It was meant to be a feed the family deal for £29.99. Turned out to be £33.66+£2.50 service charge + £2.50 delivery charge. Food was cold, bland and small portions. A family of 3 left very hungry and disappointed.

Food alright, but 8 pounds for a box with mostly red cabbage is ridiculous. And waiter forgot our drinks and claimed we didnt order any until i showed him the receipt. Shouldnt bee necessary. Music is loud and obnoxious, tables not cleaned...not a place i will bee returning to

Awesome kebabs .. they have variety in chicken and beef... Original doner kebab, wraps, quesadillas, burgers, panini with their in house sauces like garlic, yoghurt and spicy makes for very tasty dishes...

As a big fan of GDK I had high expectations however was very disappointed with my visit here. The general cleanliness of the place seemed poor with smeary order screens, the guy prepping the order appeared to sneeze without blocking it and the boss box was just chucked into a bag. As if that wasn't bad enough the food quality was very disappointing with the salad ingredients tasting far from fresh and worse still I found a hair in my food. The fact I was the only one in the branch at the time should have probably been a red flag. Won't be visiting this branch again.

Waited to be served at the till for 5 minutes then the East Asian girl cashier rudely told me to use the self service machine. She saw that I was stood there waiting to be served and could’ve told me straight away if she was busy, instead she made me wait which was frustrating as was in a hurry to catch my bus. What’s more, there should be an etiquette for meeting, greeting and addressing customers politely. Why serve at the till if you don’t want to interact with customers? SMH. Usually, there’s a nice South Asian guy at the till who serves and he has never spoken to me that way. I would like GDK to investigate this - the girl can work in the kitchen if she doesn’t want to interact with customers. There is absolutely no excuse for being rude to customers.
