Highly recommend them. Did this for my sisters birthday and found a deal on Wowcher as well. Everything was perfect. And their customer service was really good. They didn’t start the journey until we made it as we got stuck in traffic getting there. And you feel like you’re really taken cared for. The canal ride itself is nothing different from any other but the boat on its own is very nicely done and the food was delish x this is a small family owned business which I’m happy to support and will come back again for. Emily was on board with us that day and really took care of us in every way. They even did a small special decor for my sisters birthday❤️

Took my mom for afternoon tea for her birthday. We both absolutely loved it. The boat is beautiful, the staff were all polite and friendly and the afternoon vegetarian option was lovely. We will definitely book this again. Thank you

We had a really great experience today celebrating Mum's 80th birthday with a Sunday lunch canal cruise. The staff made Mum, and our party, feel like VIPs! Nothing was too much trouble, they helped us sneak on board before we set off to set up some decorations and hand over the birthday cake. They got the whole boat to sing Happy Birthday to my Mum and they made meal adaptations for the grandchildren as well as catering for a nut allergy. Great couple of hours on the canal with afternoon tea

Warm attentive staff. Very welcoming. Lovely clean set up with pretty chiba and ample food for afternoon tea. Good value for money. 2 hour cruise relaxing and slower pace.

Myself and my wife have just had a very enjoyable breakfast cruise. Very relaxing way to have breakfast watching the 'canal life' pass you by. All staff very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be looking at their other cruises in the future

Although some elements of the afternoon tea could be a little better quality other parts were excellent. The trip itself was very enjoyable and the crew were excellent from the enquiry over the phone through to leaving. The attentiveness of service was great.

Had a lovely afternoon. It was a first class service from start to finish. I liked that everyone had to use the hand gel when coming aboard, keeping everyone safe. The safety run through on board was also good to know. The cruise was calming and going through the locks was an experience and the same on our return being lifted up and down in the water made us smile. Lots of things to see. The tea in china cups and saucers was a favourite of mine, tea always tastes better in a china cup. The sandwiches and cakes were fresh and we had a good variety of everything. There was a drinks menu on board too and I tried out the Georgie's summer fruits cocktail which came in a jar with a straw, mmm very nice. My husband had a beer, which was cold and he enjoyed that too. I would recommend a cruise on the canal with Georgie's.

Fish and chip evening cruise, oh my goodness, what a lovely treat, a beautiful big light and roomy barge with lovely decor, staff have wonderful warm and friendly personalities, and food is beautiful too. Taken along the canal and through two lovely big locks, is an experience I won’t forget, and it’s a must to book and bring our family too! See you soon

We hired the boat for the day, there was 4 adults and we all really enjoyed it. We paid the extra £35 to go the lock route with tuition on how to use the locks, it was a really good experience and next time are thinking of taking our teenage children. Boat it’s self was a bit basic but I’ve never been on one before so don’t really have anything to compare it too. Overall we really enjoyed it 5*

We stopped here by chance in a motorhome. There were just 4 places left so we decided to take advantage of this little timeless break. It was a great time.

As a surprise gift, we had afternoon Tea whist on the mini cruise to Penkridge. Staff were very friendly and entertaining which added to the value of the trip. Looking forward to the other trips on offer

Took the "Fish and Chips" cruise last evening (7/6/24); a voucher Christmas present 🎁 from our daughter. We didn't know what to expect - we were absolutely delighted with the courteous and friendly way we were greeted; the efficiency of the staff; the food (which was delicious) and the total unobtrusiveness. We were left to enjoy our meal ... with someone to assist if we needed anything. I wish I could give more than a 10/10!! Thank you so much for giving us such an enjoyable evening ..... Didn't actually stay at Georgies cruises just stayed a few nights in my camper near the shop, the shop is amazing I always end up buying something (it's a gadget man's delight) lady behind the counter is super friendly even gave me some Tbags when I'd run out, Dan the man you pay £10 per night is great also so helpful, would highly recommend. Oh and doggy friendly.

Oh my absolute goodness, how amazing are these guys?! We had a wonderful day today with the midday fish and chips cruise. They pulled out all the stops, were so kind and did so much to make us welcome and comfortable. We went for my wife’s 40th and they had arranged special balloons and set the table beautifully for our group. We arranged a cake as well and WOW! It was incredible. For the price, this is an absolute gem of a trip / lunch / day out. The food was lovely, the service was fantastic, cannot say enough positive things. Thank you all at Georgie’s Canal Cruises! You gave us a wonderful afternoon!

Brought my mum here today for her 93rd Birthday. Had the most beautiful afternoon tea, and I honestly can't fault a single thing. Excellent hospitality, relaxing cruise, and the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion. Mum loved it. Cannot recommend it enough. Will definitely be back ! Lovely Sunday lunch today onboard the canal boat down to penkridge and back. Food was amazing, the beef was perfectly cooked, and a great selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Staff were very attentive and very friendly and polite. My son and his girlfriend have been before on an afternoon tea cruise and they really rated it as well.

Haven't been in a cruise yet, but took my granddaughter for a look around the boatyard. What a great bunch of lads. Friendly and welcoming. Will be back for a cruise soon.

As long as you realise you are NOT on the ocean but are on a canal, it's actually a great little journey. The catering is good, you can drink as much tea or coffee as you want. The scenery included some rural images with newly born lambs along the canal bank playing with each other at the time of our trip being the highlight. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable 2 hours especially with the staff being so friendly, helpful and always very alert to your requests and wishes!(within reason)

Our large family party of very mixed ages celebrated my 70th birthday with a wonderful afternoon tea cruise. Due to bereavement the event, planned for last April, had to be postponed for a year. The staff of Georgie's were exceptionally understanding and helpful and extremely nice to deal with and this general tone was reflected in all aspects of the planning and execution of the day. The staff on board were very friendly and efficient, and anxious to help in any way possible. They were also very tolerant of small children in their way! The boat was really attractive with beautifully laid tables, each with vases of fresh daffodils and tea lights, and the tea itself was generous and delicious. I could not fault the service and would thoroughly recommend Georgie's Canal Cruises.

We had wonderful afternoon tea cruising the canal. The whole experience was great, from the staff, to the food, and the lovely cruise, along the canal, which was very picturesque. Lovely to see lambs in the fields, and pheasants and birds. Sandwiches were fresh and tasty, as were the beautiful home madel cakes. The staff made sure tea was topped up when you wanted, and were very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be going again, and have recommended it to friends and family.

We have done both the Sunday lunch and afternoon tea on this barge. It is brilliant. Highly recommended. You have a nice 2 hour canal trip whilst being waited on the whole time. The food is lovely, and a good selection of both soft and alcohol plus hot drinks. We are looking at booking another trip for another of the amazing themes they do.

Had a nightmare getting here due to an unpublisized Penkridge Christmas Market. We arrived more or less on time but the staff here were wonderful waiting for our party even stopping after 1 lock to pick up the remaining 2 of our party . Food was great several of our party were surprised that it was served nicely on platters and not in boxs. Coffee not the best but drinkable and they did have oat milk 👍 Person who organised our party said they are not the best at answering the phone.

Due to a Victorian Extravaganza at Penkridge Market many of us were caught up in horrendous traffic jams. The crew were so good to wait beyond the sail time for three of our group and a lady from another party on board. Thankfully everyone finally got on board. The service from the staff, both on board and the sailing, went way above and beyond anything we expected. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the afternoontea was absolutely delicious. 15 of us from a local walking group had a lovely afternoon tea canal cruise with Georgies Canal cruises today. The staff were so helpful even waiting for some of our party who were delayed by market traffic. The barge was decorated for Christmas and the food and drink was plentiful - highly recommend the company.

A great idea for somewhere different to take your favourite person or people for a meal or birthday do. We were invited to a birthday surprise on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Normal tables and chairs are set out with enough room to sit comfortably. Big windows to look out and a journey down the canal for about an hour each way was plenty of time for dinner, a pudding and coffee. A decent bar on board and a toilet for those in need. Probably not the best views of the countryside but interesting enough, especially through the two locks if you haven't done it before. A few minor bit of rocking when you get on, but soon get used to it. Staff were really friendly. Overall it was a great little trip and good food. Will definitely do it again if the right situation comes up in the near future.

Absolutely loved this. Something completely different. Great food, great atmosphere and a great day out. We had pie and mash and was absolutely gorgeous. Piping hot food. 👌 Bar was fully stacked. We had a pot of tea, then a cpl of peroni beers and a orange soft drink for my wife. Definitely doing this again.

My daughter had her wedding on the boat. Drinks available on arrival. The ceremony took place on the boat and then a beautiful afternoon tea and trip up the canal. It was the most beautiful day and the staff were wonderful I would highly recommend it was so private and wonderful to enjoy the day with friends. So different but absolutely magical. Thank you so much. It is a day I will never forget

Absolutely loved our fish &chips cruise. From start to finish the staff very welcoming and helpful. Five star staff. Was a little worried about mom getting onto boat due to her disability, but staff helped me and mom felt safe. The food was delicious and hot and pudding yummy. They had plenty of choices for drinks. Loved the tonic water and best make fever tree. Parking was easy and right close to the boat. We are definitely planning another trip maybe the mash and pie one or an evening one. Anyone thinking about trying Gerogies Canal trips, would say definitely recommend. Mom was delighted with her 80th birthday gift from her best friends.

I'm writing this review as I've emailed them twice and had no reply was with my friend for the beauty and the beast afternoon tea well I'm sorry but I don't think what we had was value for money I'm not sure how they justify paying £60 was worth what we were given to eat when u pay less to have fish chips and musy peas which in my eyes I thought would work out more I'm sorry but I don't think it's very good for business when they can't even be bothered to answer my email I have been for a fish and chip supper on there cruise and couldn't fault it but I'm sorry afternoon tea was a big disappointment and because they couldn't be bothered to answer my email I will not be recommended them to our customers I'm going to attach a photo so u can all see just remember what's on the plate is for two people

We have been on the Sunday Lunch Cruise and what an absolutely fantastic experience. The food was amazing and the staff were friendly, efficient and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. There was a great choice of drinks, all very reasonably priced. The food was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone looking for a relaxing way to spend a Sunday afternoon. We will most definitely be back.

Evening pizza & prosecco cruise which was booked as a surprise by my husband for my birthday. We were a party of 11 and we had a great evening. Staff went above and beyond in their service. Fabulous food, unlimited prosecco, nothing too much trouble. We were so pleased with the whole experience and would recommend them

What a brilliant day! Today we hired Jess’s day boat to celebrate 4 friends 60th birthdays! We were lucky to be given the opportunity to take the Yardam out! With a little instruction, we were guided out from Gailey and had an uneventful days boating. We reached The anchor for drinks and had afternoon tea prepared by Jess, which was delightful! Excellent service and food on a very relaxing cruise

Booked this afternoon tea treat for myself and my daughter and we had such a wonderful time. The barge was spotlessly clean and tables laid with china crockery. The staff were all very welcoming and attentive. The cruise lasted 2 hours and the afternoon tea was served straight away as we made our way through 2 locks and peaceful waters. The afternoon tea was perfect and each mouthful delicious. All in all a fabulous trip out and I would highly recommend it. I’m looking forward to my next trip!

Absolute joke. Booked well in advance for the valentine's afternoon tea. Paid the deposit straight way. The day of the cruise I get an email saying they had cancelled because they was unable to contact me. They called me 3 times and a left a message asking to confirm. Both me and my partner rang them over 30 times in the week and couldn't get through. We ended up driving down there to be told that they hadn't wrote down that our deposit was paid. (Even though we had confirmation email of it being paid) All the woman had to say was we can try to squeeze you on. This is was not acceptable and we requested a full refund.

Husband booked a mid day cruise with fish and chips. It was so relaxing to just travel along the canal and back. The food was delicious. It came with mushy peas and bread and butter. Proper dish! We ordered the pudding as extra and a glass of fizz too as they have a bar on board, it was my birthday so why not!

Absolutely brilliant! We had Sunday lunch as a retirement present and totally blown away. Barge was decorated beautifully, staff fantastic and food sooo tasty. A fantastic trip along the canal whilst being totally spoilt. Definately booking again.

Santa Cruise Our Party had the whole boat for a santa cruise on Saturday which was brilliant!!! Emma made the whole process easy, from us booking to upgrading breakfasts. The continental option was a big hit with my youngest son, lots of choice with fruit and pastries, that much we took some home. The full English was lovely hot and very filling. The girls on board where on the ball and had tables cleared quickly. And as for santa and his elf, they where brilliant, the look on the kids faces was priceless. A huge thank you to Emma for organising such a wonderful morning for us all ....
