Georgic in Glasgow City

Guy said we could bring our food in then got angry when we brought our food in and told us to leave.

Least welcoming place I’ve ever entered, asked if I was allowed to eat my food in the premises while enjoying a pint and was told it was fine. Instantly started getting offensive comments made by the other member of staff then he refused to serve.

Great local bar in Shawlands. Staff and locals are all friendly and possibly the best value around. Way cheaper than the city centre, and other bars nearby. Plenty of tv's for the football.

Booked a table here for me & my mates (group of 10) was easy to book Bar staff were lovely, drinks reasonable price and atmosphere was great. I'll definitely be back soon, might be our new local

Popped in on a Tuesday afternoon as we were walking past and heard the live singer who was amazing. Not many places can be said to have the vibe the Georgic had on a Friday or Saturday night let alone a Tuesday afternoon. Service was excellent and the best bit was a pint of tennents £2.00 yes £2.00. What an amazing afternoon. Live performance is every second Tuesday so as that is our new weekend we will defo be back.

I have known the Georgic for over 60 years. I moved away many years ago, but try to get back whenever I get a chance. It has changed a bit, but is still a great wee pub.

Went into the georgic with my partner for a few drinks a couple of nights ago and we were very happy with the service received and the quality. We were served by Laura, who was extremely pleasant and assisted with any queries or needs we had. We will definitely be returning in the hopefully near future. 😊

Went to this pub the other day and thought it was lovely, the staff are very friendly and quick with service, the atmosphere as well in the pub is wonderful, I will be returning.

Love this bar in Shawlands. The staff are so welcoming, Barbara is ace. Great atmosphere and you can’t beat the banter! Prices also very reasonable, it’s our automatic go to bar, if not venturing into Town.

Great pub very friendly staff manageress barbara is very welcoming and if it's your first time. The regulars and staff make you feel at home the pubs been there for as long as I can remember and always been the go to place when I'm in shawlands would highly recommend it

Went recently to this lovely pub so impressed with level of service and staff were amazing and helpful .

So sad this pub is closed just now, me and my girls love this pub and cannot wait for another lady’s night! Hopefully be open again soon

A really nice and friendly pub. Great daily deals and fantastic staff. Sport on TV daily and good banter with the regulars. Probably suited for older people but anybody would enjoy a wee drink in here. Go there and try it out you won't be disappointed.

Hi was witht friend at the georic in shawlands spent a good few hours there. Was only in for a quick drink but on entering the cosy atmosphere was amazing. Company was fantastic felt more like a family atmosphere. Felt so comfortable threw my wee wander in x I think the lady behind the bars name was Barbara. Gsbed away to me while serving our drinks every pisyer every entertainment was up every were to see. Thsnk you for a lovely day I will definitely be back again big hands up to the wee local pub on a busy shawlands street x fantastic

Good old fashioned pub where you can have a chin wag with whoever's is at the bar. Staff all pleasant and efficient. Lounge a bit on the small side but it's OK for the football on the telly too.

It's a proper 'boozer' with well priced drinks and friendly staff. They offer a decent variety of drinks at good prices which are served by friendly people so it's worth a punt. No food served, but a great place to have a few reasonable priced drinks.

Popped in on Saturday night and had a fantastic night through in the lounge area. Girl Kerry who served us was great, and was having good banter with the locals. All the other customers added to our experience and we had such a google laugh with them all - jukebox was booming good tunes too! Can't wait to visit again ☆☆☆☆☆

I’ve just moved to the area. I have autism and find making friends hard. The Georgic regulars embraced me. I’m happy here.

The bar is really fabby these days. I enjoyed the quiz on a Sunday night in the lounge too. Friendly staff who will give you a loan of a phone charger if your phone is flat.

Fantastic wee pub. I've been in it many times over the years, but don't live locally, so not a regular. However, it would be my local if I lived in the area. In yesterday - it's had a nice refurbishment - it looks good. It was reasonably busy - the barmaid (quite wee, with long hair and glasses) was totally on the ball, and it was very reasonably priced. Any time I'm in Shawlands I'll be sure to stop off for a rum & Coke.

Great bar, great atmosphere with great bar staff. Very clean and tidy bar and lounge with the lounge having a great jukebox, the bar shows live matches. To add and top things off the drinks are very reasonably priced.
