Best fish and chips I’ve ever had I’m so glad it’s my local. The cod is so fresh and crispy and a large chips is enough to feed 3 people! Personally I love their old decor as it gives a a true sense of authenticity and tradition I hope they don’t change it😂 will be back again.

Forgot the rest, George's fish bar is the best. Call in advance and pick up your order hot and freshly cooked. Not on the takeaway sites so still reasonably priced. The batter is always light and crispy not too greasy like some of the other chippies.

Chinese owned, so no surprise its 'cash only'. No need for the taxman to know the whole story, eh? Very average fair at slightly above average prices.

This place never fails to deliver. I always go for the Cod and chips and it's so fresh and tasty. The batter on the Cod is nice and crispy as well as flavoursome.

Chips are disgusting complete waste of money and no matter what day you go they never have curry sauce yet its on the menu false advertising get rid of it if you can't be bothered to make it and staff are just plain rude would give hf a star if you could

Absolute rubbish will never go to this place again got fish and chips last time and the chips was no good called them and told them they said next time I wont charge you I did not bother went again today saw the chips when he was putting it asked him is the chips ok he said yes but come home to find the same thing stale chips and the fish was dry and no good to this time never going there again .

Fish was real nice and so are the staff. Looks like a family owned business so they take pride in their food. Fresh chips the fish i dont think was fresh but I could tell it hadn't been sitting there for ages. The decor in the shop is quite dated but the fascinating posters\pictures of the various types of fish and Whales kept me entertained whilst I waited for my meal.

Do not always give you the right order!!

The cod was extremely delicious, the chips were extremely average.

Fantastic, fresh crispy and the same experience everytime I wait for 10 minutes. Dont add salt and vinegar till you get home and ask for the fish to be wrapped separately. Superb and very tasty indeed. I'd recommend George's Fish shop any day of the week because he is reasonably priced the fish is s Good size and more than anything he beats most of the chip shops around and if you know me locally you know how fussy I am with my food. Make sure you go In and order and have it freshly cooked it's well worth the 10 minute wait. Enjoy everyone...

This shop makes the best Fish 'n' Chips I have ever tasted. So succulent and fresh. Not oily or too crispy. I.e. overcooked. Look forward to it on a Friday night. Never any queues mind. NB. I went here again recently only this time after waiting for the fish to cook I was given overcooked chips and a dried up rock hard fish. Disappointed! 👎🏽

Eaten here for 10+ years, and simply the best ever, even when we try other places by the Sea, always disappointed as not as good as our local here. Lovely friendly service from husband and wife.

Old fashioned Chinese chippie. Aging decor maybe but it's a lovely throwback to an age of innocence and simplicity, with the friendly owners consistently making and selling the best fish and chips in the area and significantly cheaper than their local competitors. Love the food here.

He vivido en todo Londres, pero esta es la primera vez que tengo un chippy brillante en la puerta de mi casa. El pescado nunca es grasiento y las patatas fritas son buenas. Los propietarios son amables también.

Lo que puedo decir es que fue el pescado y las patatas fritas más sabrosos que hemos tenido en mucho tiempo. Todos teníamos bacalao y patatas fritas, que era muy razonable de precio. El bacalao era tan blanco fresco y puro por dentro. Esperamos a que se cocinara fresco y valió la pena la espera. Recomendaría esta tienda de fish and chips a cualquiera. No parece mucho desde el exterior, pero no dejes que eso te desanime. Las personas que dirigen el lugar han estado allí durante años como solíamos usar este lugar hace mucho tiempo, pero no habían estado en mucho tiempo. Este es mi lugar redescubierto favorito y lo usaremos más a menudo porque habíamos olvidado lo bueno que sabía.

This place has been my family's go to fish and chip place for 30 years so holds a special place I'm my heart. Still the food is great and fresh, the service is quick.

Deben ir al mercado todos los días, este es el pescado más sabroso en una tienda de pescado y papas fritas a millas de distancia y la mezcla es buena pero no grasosa. ¡Estas grandes porciones también hablan de la relación calidad-precio! ¡Guauu! A menudo no tienes que esperar, pero debes llamar con anticipación si no quieres esperar y si quieres patinar. Voy siempre que puedo siempre si tengo visitantes un viernes.

Traveled many a mile for good fish & chips. And I have never been disappointed with this place.

A local legend... fish is always fresh and usually cooked to order. Not horribly greasy like other restaurants. Pricing is a little bit steeper than most chippys but i guess you pay for quality :)
