So lovely warm greeting I ordered two strong hot chocolates and a round of Welsh cakes which was duly served and the hot chocolate was nice a strong full of flavour. The staff were friendly chatty and took genuine interest in who you were. I would highly recommend this cafe

A lovely Cafe with friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. We visited with our two dogs and the Blonde waitress (who was wearing a very stylish Flamingo apron!) greeted the dogs with as much joy as she did for us. My mother ordered a milkshake and was very pleased to find it was made with real ice cream instead of just milkshakepowder. Genuinely nice people and a cute little place for a quick drink or a bite to eat. Definitely will be visiting again ❤️

This place is a disgrace. My husband and I tried to go here for lunch today and after looking at the menu that was on the wall outside he went in to order while I sat at one of the three empty outside tables. No sooner had I sat down when he came back out saying ‘let’s go’. He tried to order us 2 paninis as per the menu (one tuna and one coronation chicken) and the waitress sighed and said she was too busy to make them and if he wanted something he would have to choose from the ones already pre-made, of which there were only 2 to choose from. He said there were only about 8-10 customers inside so hardly busy and all 3 outside tables were empty. Why on earth have a menu if customers can’t order from it? This was about 12.20pm so not even peak lunch time trade. Never in my 43 years have I been told by a cafe or restaurant that they ‘don't have time’ to serve me something from the menu that they themselves have provided. They had empty tables but still couldn’t cope. Shocking way to run a business and I doubt it’ll last much longer if they can’t cope with anymore than approximately 8 bodies at a time. Perhaps they should think about employing more staff or else take stuff off the menu that they’re not willing to make.

Visited after a bike ride along the Llangollen Canal, I was muddy top toe and Sophie came outside to take my order so that I didn't have to trudge through dropping mud everywhere, Whilst eating my sandwich Sam popped outside to have a chat, can highly recommend a visit the food is amazing and the staff are equally the same. Will definitely visit again.

We were greeted with a very warm and friendly welcome from the outset, and we enjoyed some generous slices of their delicious lemon drizzle, which was duly washed down by " mugs " of hot chocolate, with marshmallows. George's Cafe hugely contrasts with the " tourist " prices, portions and menus on offer in Castle Street and near to the Bridge. We will be back. Diolch yn fawr. Andy and Wendy. Bala.

The owner was incredibly rude whilst me and a couple friends had sat down to eat you could hear him complaining in the back saying how it’s too busy and we need to wait ( in a aggressive manner) but not directly speaking to us just having a go at his co worker which I assume was out of stress, but still highly unprofessional. In the end we had coffee’s to go simply because we did not want to hear the abuse which was being said about us or any other customers.

I am a regular user of George’s Cafe. The service is lovely and friendly as are the staff. The coffee is without doubt the best in Llangollen and the cakes are to die for. It is not a big space, but the food and drinks are great and there is a very welcoming atmosphere for all customers. I would like to suggest that one or two of the reviews here are malicious in intent - certainly their comments to the reality that I have witnessed over the last 5 years!

I went here with a friend and George is very unprofessional, and the cafe itself is not hygienic, crumbs and stains on tables. We also witnessed him looking and acting inappropriately with a young female of high school age, after witnessing this and just the whole experience I shall not be returning to this cafe and most definitely do not recommend people to visit.

George I believe his name is, is incredibly rude to customers and is short tempered, the cafe is very unhygienic the floor is a mess and so is the tables ( crumbs and dirt all over the floor and on the tables coffee sticky stairs crumbs etc), he is also very inappropriate to customers and I also saw him looking at the younger female who works there in a rude manner. I will not be returning to George’s cafe after this experience again.

We popped into this cafe for a spot of lunch after our walk along the River Dee in Llangollen. We had sandwiches, fruit scone with jam and clotted cream and a slice of Bara Brith which is Welsh spiced tea loaf with butter and washed down with a pot of tea for two. Food and service were excellent and all at reasonable prices. A welcome break when revisiting the area after many years living in the South West.

Our coach of older people on a day trip arrived in torrential rain so around 10 of us entered the cafe at once . There is a lovely young lady working there but the guy was totally obnoxious ranting and raving about us coming in as 3 had walking aids . I can only hope he will be old one day and treated as appallingly .

Situated halfway along Market Street is this delightful little cafe. You can park just across the way in a public car park. The waitress who served us was very attentive and the Cheese and ham sandwich was delicious served with a few crisps and a portion of coleslaw. Good Cafeteria coffee. All this was good value coming in at just £20 .

Stayed for three nights for our 47th wedding anniversary, our room was clean and serviced daily. Nice crisp bed linen and fresh towels, a lot of money has been spent on refurbishment and there is still work to do. Lovely flowers outside and the views from our balcony were stunning, you must book a room with a balcony as the others back on to the canal. The restaurant does not serve an a,la carte menu, but the food we had was lovely and we enjoyed it. Parking was a problem, i feel that the limited parking spaces by the Hotel should be for staying guests only as the other car park is a bit of a route march and not suitable for those who have difficulty walking. All in all it was a most enjoyable stay but those of us with a more mature figure could do with a Kingsize bed.

Ordered a cheeseburger to take out and I have to say it's the first time I have had a cheeseburger with grated cheese and the cheese not melted, I opened the the tray and immediately thought somethings not right with this, it had grated cheese on it which was cold and the burger itself did not seem hot. Sat on the beach wall to eat it and on biting into it realised it was lukewarm at best and the cheese was never going to melt, the centre of the burger looked undercooked and pinkish in colour.Threw it into the bin.The elderly couple who run this place have been doing so for years so you'd have thought they could at least knock up a decent cheeseburger, HOT BURGER AND MELTED CHEESE PLEASE????

We only had half-an-hour between trains but we were quickly served in this traditional GWR style cafe. It has outside seating as well and the ham and cheese rolls were a walk back in time to my childhood at Ilfracombe station cafe. Friendly staff, good prices and refreshing tea with all the trimmings. No food allowed in the First Class areas.

We came to sweet daisy for ice cream after a meal at the pub. There were eight of us so a big order. The man who served us was lovely, smiley and patient. There was a long queue forming behind us but we didn’t feel rushed. The ice creams were delicious and my sister said ‘felt like they went on forever’ 😍 which is quite the compliment! I had a rocky road and it was the best most delicious ice cream I’ve had all summer. Thank you.
