Craig and Mark were so welcoming and friendly, and the food was delicious. The fruit scone with clotted cream and jam was divine, and the scrambled egg on brown toast was buttery, hot, and so tasty. I would definitely stop by George St Tea Rooms again!

When out shopping always go here for coffee. Craig and Mark are so nice and friendly. I go for coffee but sometimes end up with a homemade scone which are lovely. All their food is homemade and tasty.

A cosy tea room with friendly hosts and excellent scones! Highly recommend. Scones were delicious, with cream and jam, and tea is served in nice china teapots and cups. Would suggest booking ahead as very busy, which is a testament to how great it is.

I had a quick google while on the High Street in Perth as I wanted a nice cuppa and Scone and this came up top of the list. On trying to get in the cafe, I noticed it was full which was odd for a late Monday morning and took this as a good sign that I was going to be pleased with my choice IF I could get a seat! I loitered about outside for a couple o minutes and noticed a couple leaving so jumped in behind them and was seated in the "Naughty Corner" which made me smile. The staff were excellent from start to finish. I only planned on getting a coffee and a fruit scone but the soup sounded amazing so I had a bowl of Onion Soup with a cheese crouton... Now... I was fooled with this description... It arrived and I was served with a flourish and behold... cheese on toast was floating on my soup. This was AMAZING! Tasty, creamy served with 2 wedges of bread too. I then started to regret my decision to have also ordered the scone and coffee.. I wasn't sure that there would be room left but I struggled on! My plate was cleared quickly but not rushed. It was lovely to see the 2 gents attending to all the customers in a genuinely friendly manner. You do not get this level of intimate serving in starbucks and it was lovely. They took the time to chat to the regulars but in a way that they still operated a smooth cafe! Infact, 2 customers came in and a conversation with the owners ensued about how good it was to see them back and asked if they were staying over again this time, which told me that they had great memories to remember customers who aren't locals. Anyway, I digress.... the food... My scone was warm but not too hot that the jam and cream slid off. Clumsy me dropped a spoon and within seconds it was replaced. I hadn't even seen them notice that I had dropped it! So pleased that I got the scone ordered when I did as several people were asking about the scones and I was quite smug that I got the last one!!! Definitely will be back for some more soup and chat!! A hidden gem!

Stopped here for a light lunch and cake - and it was absolutely perfect! Service was spot-on, and food delicious! Not a crumb left on any plate! Absolutely every box ticked from the fine china plates, quality napkins, pastry forks and even cakes cut in half for sharing! Wow! So impressed! Choice of cakes (cappuccino, chocolate, sticky toffee, lemon) too hard to choose from! Delicious too! Can’t wait to return - even the background music was great!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a delightful small café. Very friendly hosts. Lovely food, reasonably priced. What was very obvious were the number of regular, well-known customers, frequenting the café on a Saturday lunchtime. Will remember this place next time we want a cuppa or a lunch in Perth city centre.

Cant think of another word to say accept "FANTASTIC" what more do you want great cake - I don't know how they make them but they are delicious. The Earl Grey tea was perfect and piping hot. We took family who were on holiday in Perth with us and they enjoyed it so much that they went back again. I would recommend this Café to everyone the guys who run it are so cheery and welcoming.

Stumbled upon this gem when passing through Perth. It proved to be one of the very best breakfasts and coffees we had during our entire trip. We took away scones and clotted cream that we enjoyed the next day.

Stumbled on this wee tearoom on Saturday while attending the Perth classic car show. What a little treasure this is. Craig and Mark were welcoming and so friendly, felt like I was in my own kitchen enjoying breakfast with friends. The food was excellent. The tea room is bright and cheerful and has obviously been decorated with their own personal touch. I highly recommend you give this lovely wee tea room a try.

Stumbled across this absolute gem while waiting to get a replacement tyre, due to puncture, on route to visit family in Redhill. Craig and Mark were the perfect hosts with superb food and great chat. Clearly a bit of an institution and community hub. Attention to detail (tea timer etc) and great customer service. These guys do it right. Will definitely go back if we’re anywhere near.

Having discovered The Tickled Trout on a dog walk, returned about 3pm on a busy Sunday knowing that only the table for 8 can be pre booked. I’m told that at busy times, there’s not usually long to wait. What an amazing setting! From the main car park, it’s only a 60 second path traverse alongside the sluice gate controlled trout fisheries which is interesting to see. There is disabled parking at the front door. The old building is very spacious and rustic inside. The main burn (stream) openly runs through the insides and out and under large glass windows! Lots of attentive staff who seated us at comfy chesterfield sofas immediately and the dogs were warmly welcomed. There was also a Bichon Frise, Schnauzer and placid Doberman present! Our waitress explained that they hold Pilates classes in the cavernous space upstairs. Sadly after a busy afternoon and with only an hour to go prior to closing, some menu items were finished, such as the much lauded Trout Fishcakes and other all day breakfast items. Given the time, I completely understand this. However there were plenty of light bite options, tray bakes, including some gluten free Rocky Road, and a Stewart Dairies Ice Crème stand. I was tempted by a fruit scone but they only offer butter and jam so I took Malteser Ice Cream. I’d suggest offering clotted cream and jam for their scones as well which would be better received. We ordered the soup of the day which was Honeyed Parsnip and IT WAS TO DIE FOR!!!!! Thick, large bowl and homemade. 1st class. Latte in a tall cup was hot and delicious. So all in all, we will definitely be back. Thank you! (Closed Mondays snd Tuesdays if I heard correctly)
