Gems cafe and Gift shop in County Durham

Nice food nor far from work. They had a problem with the vain Marie, but we had alternative lovely. Will certainly be there again.

Absolutely fabulous food and service. Love all their meals but have to say the corned beef pie is a dream come true. And real value for money. Nice change in this day and age.

This place is vile and everytime she gets a bad review she begs loads of her friends to leave a good review hence why they've all been left around the same time bit sad really! Dry cakes hairs in sweet boxes and some mould on the pies absolute health hazard!

Just had surprise afternoon tea and have to say delicious, great variety and so fresh. Well done gems cafe will definitely return

Won a sweet box via Facebook competition it arrived jam packed delivery cost was very reasonable. Can't wait for these to open properly so we can try the food aswell.

I ordered my items via Facebook as it was during the COVID-19 when I got them, the pies are amazing and the trays of school cake didn’t last long in my house. All amazing products. The staff I was talking to was very nice and patient as I was asking lots of questions. Thank you xx

I can not fault this place. Beautiful food, great deals, pleasant friendly owner. Nothing is too much trouble. The afternoon teas are to die for and the tray bakes the same. I would highly recommend this cafe

Gems cafe is a well run, beautiful cafe! I have been to Gems cafe many many times especially in the morning after my long nursing shifts for an amazing freshly cooked breakfast which always tastes delicious and cooked exactly how you ask her to!!! Ive also spent many happy times taking my girls to the cafe at lunch times my favourites being mince and dumplings and her chicken curry oh and this wouldnt be complete without the puddings she has on offer mmmmmmm Stacey has great community spirit and has supported many people during this horrible virus when people where struggling to get basics, thankyou so much Stacey!!! 😍 Cant wait for your cafe to reopen again!!!

Lovely food, friendly staff. Love the breakfasts especially. I often order for delivery and it is delivered so fast. Couldn't fault the service at all. When I have popped in to buy food or sit in it has always been clean and hygiene seems to be faultless.

I first found this place as partner wanted proper brandy snap and this is nearest n only place that does these. While where we had breakfast and wow they were really nice and price was great . Defo will be coming back

I highly recommend this cafe to everyone. Their food is amazing and the service is fantastic, such lovely people. I literally can't drive past without calling in. The liver dinners are absolutely gorgeous, and chips are the best chips I've tasted.

Highly recommend, always fantastic food to have when visiting my home village, wish they'd post more pictures to drool over.

Lovely food and staff very friendly. One of my favourites is the liver but also the broth my Granddaughter loves the breakfast wraps. Sit in or takeaway and portions are very good
