Comfortable place to have a coffee and catch up with friends

Extremely friendly staff, asked what type of milk and either hot or cold milk. Lots of space with lots of seating.

Honestly, this branch shares the common familiarity of other branches, but there's a notable exception: the staff. Mohammed and Robert were outstanding, greeting everyone with radiant smiles and engaging conversation. It felt like walking onto the set of the classic American sitcom 'Cheers'—a nod to those who remember.

Great place to get some work done. Staff are amazing and always ready to help, there is almost always at least one seat there but it can get relatevly busy during the evening.

I had bought some Costa coffees from their vending machine in a Coop store. Their app wouldn't recognise the QR code so I took the bar code slips to this shop for the barista to add to my account. Neither barista had done this before but despite showing Costa's help, one was very unhelpful. Thankfully the other added the coffee beans since I waited almost an hour.

Not my first choice in coffee shop but my reason for 5 stars is mostly the service. Friendly staff on this morning and it was nice to see the staff looking happy and smiling. My toastie was good but they always are just prefer my coffee from other brands but that’s personal choice, although probably the best I’ve had from a shop since the beans have been roasted different.

Yet again more drama in Costa wait for it the toilets are out if order so we can only put your coffee in a take away cup what a load of old guff why is there no vision no passion and no leadership in here

Stupidly I ordered tea and asked for a little milk. FM can you imagine a cappuccino made with tea? Awful and I had to wait an eternity for it.🤮

Simple maintenance on the entrance door would stop it whining and squeaking. Oil spray would remedy this in two minutes. Another branch of Costa, another noisy door. Staff service area door on Leytonstone High Rd branch: bangs loudly when falling shut. It's highly disturbing as staff use it (the vestibule door) very often.

Highchairs broken staff ignoring it. Restaurant toilets flooded and generally not very clean.

Just on high street Wanstead Costa coffee greeted by a lovely lady Sintija. Very helpful and a lovely smile. Thank you Costa for recruiting lovely staff.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced by any costa. Thats not the end, the red head lady who served me was rude. She is lacking training I suppose. I've been there 4 times, she was rude all the way. At first instance I thought it was a bad day for her however she been rude every time. promise I won't hit that costa anymore.

Great staff, great location, Useless WiFi. Staff are friendly warm and welcoming, the store is in a great location, not too busy not too quiet. Toilet is clean, the whole shops is nice with pleasent decor and comfy chairs. The problem is the WiFi. The speed when you eventually connect is non existent. Trying to connect via your own hotspot is a no go as well because the reception inside is spotty. This really would be a lovely place to grab a coffee and so some work on your laptop, but the lack of internet access makes it a non starter. Quite astonishing in this day and age that its like trying to connect to a dial up. So unfortunately I won't be able to frequent here any longer. I like the coffee and the food and the white background noise of a semi busy coffee shops are all great pluses, but no WiFi makes it utterly pointless

I ordered a latte online so I could run in and out as I had to park on double yellow lines. So I ordered 10 minutes before I'd collect so I could get it and go, but when I got there they said there having problems with there system witch is fair enough but they then made me wait till they served all the other customers before they gave me my large latte witch when I got back in my vehicle was only 3 quarters full. If I had time to stand there and wait I would of just ordered in store

Great Costa branch for the area! Efficient staff, and fast-ish service (depending on the day you decide to come).

It was a very busy day for the staff here but they all looked very unhappy & didn't seem to be communicating with each other or the customers which left a queue outside the shop & a queue inside the shop waiting for their orders. The colleague taking the orders wasn't telling the colleague making the drinks so it all got confusing hence the queues.

Some items are nice like the pre cooked food. The drinks are just not as nice as other costa locations. Management need to sort it out. I have had my order messed up when done through the app. The workers are more in to chatting to each other then focusing on the orders. Drinks do not taste as good as other locations. I think because they are rushing and not making it properly. I now just drive further out to other locations.

Small store but comfortable and relaxed

Costa needs to bring it's coffee into the real world of real coffee. Or does it...? Actually it's doing pretty well at selling...everyone loves a Costa. It's the Disneyland of coffee. Don't get me wrong, I'd gladly use Costa, if there is no other choice...some of their food is pretty reasonable for a chain business, each one is run differently...some are exceptionally well run, others are to be desired. Not all - but most of their staff just need to be a bit more 'constant' in creating and serving a proper basic cup of strong smooth coffee. Sometimes their basic coffee is made totally undrinkable, very rarely is it 'sort of' okay-ish, but it's just never a good coffee. I would rate two stars for their coffee. Seeing that they charge the same as the best independent cafe shops...I expect the same quality coffee... Now the absolute reason for my five stars review is that you can stay and sit in a cosy Costa, with the same cuppa for hours... that deserves a five star review.

Clearly overworked but very friendly staff

When I went to Costa I had a bad experience with the customer service as they told me that I cant get another cup holder only for one drink. Moreover the Black Forest and Terrys chocolate orange hot chocolate it not as it was the last time I had got it, I had asked for cream on the top and there wasn't any and even when I said that they forgot to put it on my coffee they refused to put it on. My experience was bad there and this had happened to me before, I think that they didn't do anything as i am a child. Also as the person was making my coffee I saw her adjust her face mask multiple times and didn't wash her hands. I believe that this is a big problem as cases are rising and they should wash their hands. Furthermore i saw many many people walk in after me and they didn't have a facemask on and they were touching everything, this is absolutely wrong and disgusting and I just hope they change whatever they are doing and improve hygiene there.

Always good for a latte decaf and toastie ham n cheese!

Good, better than some Costa's clean and quite busy, but good social distancing being observed, but like other Costa's dreary inside, I wish they would lighten up the inside if stores a little too much brown....

I struggle with this place because while I like their coffee selection and its convenience, I find most (though not all) of the staff unfriendly (a smile really wouldn't go amiss), which I find off-putting. They also overcharged me for my Christmas hot chocolate, which I've not quite got over yet! It's also quite narrow where you go up to order meaning it's a little bit difficult with a buggy and the seating area at the back is just a bit drab. But it does a job and it's usually quite popular (and I will go back)

My staple place throughout high-school and sixth form, miss it tonnes and the baristas are absolute angels. Guaranteed to brighten up your day!

Absolutely rubbish...my partner and I ordered a takeaway, it turned up wrong..rang to tell them and was told the right order would be with us in 10-15 minutes. After an hour rang back and still nothing. Rude service, don't recommend to anyone

I have been a regular customer at this costa for over a year. There is a wonderful charge here created by staff who seem to have a genuine love and affection for each other. They make working there seem really fun, and this creates a inspiring and warm atmosphere. One staff member in particular always stands out above the rest. I took note of her name last time I was there. Bianca. A wonderful barista, very funny and great people skills. An asset to any business lucky enough to employ her.

I come to this Costa every Sunday, it is supposed to open at 8am, but never is. Always open around 8.10 - 8.20ish.

I attended this Costa (18/2/19) for a much needed Coffee during a busy lunchtime. I was pleasantly surprised to be Warmly greeted , got served promptly and the young lady even wished me a nice day. Much appreciated! Keep up the good work -@ caffeine addicts lives matter.

Always get great drinks and cakes in a Costa

Standard Costa Cafe. A safe bet.

Out tonight, following a long and arduous day at work. Freezing cold outside. Pizza before a pint in the pub. It was great, red hot, well made, tasty. Garlic sauce to go with it, as you must for the crust. Most enjoyable !

Water all over the floor and stunk of drains

Not much to say about Costa though. They are all the same after all. Same service,same drinks,same food. Only the street name is different. They have nice outside area though, unlikely some other coffee shops. That's about it.

Julita is an amazing barista always smiling to everyone and making place welcoming to all. Sometimes she has that angry face but everyone has bad days so I don’t blame her because service is still very good

The service is typically good and the staff are always friendly and relaxed. Croissants are expensive for what you can buy down the local express store - would help if they charge less than £1 for croissants and not double the price. The flat white is passing at best, atmosphere is causal but good, we enjoy spending time at Costa.

The staff were very friendly. We joked around together. There are tables to sit outside which quite nice especially on a sunny day. I had cappuccino there and it great as always!

Great coffee and nice staff. Biggest problem with Costa is trying to eat anything vaguely healthy. Most things have 50% plus sugar. A sugar tax or diabetes tax should be imposed on them. Lots of their competitors have healthier options.

Depends which one. Tesco Costa does good coffee. Not so enamoured of Wanstead branch.

Usually service is good and staff are friendly. This time, the staff were really lax about clearing the tables so i had to sit there surrounded by other peoples debris. Not pleasant. Also they are really stingy with the whipped cream. As i pay for this, i find it really annoying. This is across Costa generally these days.

Ordered various items for a 18.40 delivery as we had people coming to us about then. It arrived at 17.30!! I phoned to complain when I found out at 17.50 and said I wanted a replacement meal as the first one would be no good by the time our guests were arriving. To be fair Geminis accepted the fault and sent a replacement but it then didnt arrive until 19.30, so 1 hour 40 minutes after I complained. It seems like the Justeat option was the problem, they had not seen the requested time. Quality of the food was ok but not great.

22/11/2017 3pm, really poor, leaves everywhere in the entrance, broken mince pies, had to repeat twice order because went to do something else then had to ask for my drink to be made, arrogant personel, dirty counter with powder chocolate and sugar, no appetizing cakes with crumbs on platter, shame nice place but noone to make it clean and organised

Poor service Underwhelming The Apple and raspberry tart was chewie no clotted cream (Don't have it don't advertise it) When I spend over £9 (one person) for coffee and food I would like to be appreciated.

Good but not great. Staff could be friendlier, but at least you can take your dogs in despite the sign. Coffee is a bit meh

It's just a standard coffee shop but the coffee depends upon the ability of the barista. There are s good number that work shifts at this branch.

Coffee chain shop on High Street Wanstead E11. Good location. About 5-10 minutes walk from Wanstead and Snaresbrook stations. Some outdoor seating in front. Good coffee eg flat white. Good portions, even too big for me. Toasted sandwiches
