Been a number of times before and food has always been good for eating in. Tried a takeaway recently and wouldn't recommend. food quality not as good. Took ages to arrive, not impressed.

Had a beautiful set menu for 4 people, delicious. Therefore, thought the takeaway would be exactly the same. What a mistake, it was very expensive and not good quality. Meat was tough and cold.

Excellent service, staff very friendly and the food was lovely, plates hot, food hot I cannot fault the place. Would definitely return. 😊😊😊

Booked a table for 9:15-9:30pm rang to say we got stuck in traffic and they said it was ok?, got there at 9:45 and they had closed even though it says open until 10pm we travelled 45 minutes to get here and booked a table. Absolutely unacceptable. We got recommended here and will never try again and make sure everyone stays away

Ordered a takeaway via Just Eat. Food didn't arrive. Just over £50 and nothing. Told there is nothing they can do, contact Just Eat. Woeful customer service and essentially just stolen £50 from me. Beyond angry.

I ordered a Special Chow Mein this evening. It is usually good. However, on this occasion the taste of the noodles was dreadful. I threw it away

So we visited yesterday for the first time and the food came out very quick, looked beautiful and was very hot which was a brilliant start. The food was really greasy but no one came to the table to check how the food was despite the fact we were the only ones in the restaurant!! But when they came to clear the plates we spoke to the girl and she didn’t care and when it came to paying we waited at the table for ages for them to bring the bill which they didn’t. We got our coats on and went to the desk to pay and just mentioned to the boss who then started getting defensive and shouting saying there was absolutely nothing wrong with the food. We should have approached them about the food apparently it isn’t their job!!!! The attitude of the young boy and the boss is disgusting!! We will NOT be returning again WHAT A VILE PLACE

The food was really nice , a good variety on the menu including the set meals. The service was a little slow but wasn't a problem as the food was bought out hot. Good variety of drinks , the young waitress was very polite and attentive Would go again.

Food was really poor quality. The lemon chicken was overcooked and re-heated, it was very chewy to eat. The prawn crackers were not crispy and tasted old. Service was just not there, the restaurant staff was too busy with the delivery drivers and tables were just left waiting. A real shame because we spent around £50 for 2 people and the money was not worth it at all.

We sat in this restaurant for over 3 hours last night watching the owners trying to juggle a full restaurant with takeaway orders. We think the takeaway orders must be given priority as our wait was far too long. Not one person working there acknowledges that you are sitting waiting. The takeaway bags just keep flying past. The food is delicious, when it finally arrives. However, its not worth the tediously long wait. Also, they need to invest in some wine coolers.

Great food, friendly staff, reasonable prices, had a good night would definitely go back, I would definitely recommend. A brothers 60th birthday and the family all got together, the food and service was very good, would definitely go again, thanks to all the staff

I booked this restaurant in August last year for a family celebration for my mum's 85th birthday. We travelled from all over to Tamworth where my parents live. Staying in hotels. When I got to Gemini the booking was not written in the book and they had no room for us. Having driven from Yorkshire I was not happy. Michael said he would look for something but struggled so we had no meal. Will never do that again My dad was embarrassed we had travelled so far but it wasn't his fault. It was clearly a restaurant error.

Excellent Food. Best Chinese we have had in a long time. Great service. Nice and chilled and didn't feel rushed. Glad we booked, we wouldn't of got a table.

Used to come to this restaurant many years ago with friends. Always had good food. It's changed hands over the years and we stopped using it. I've been put off from visiting again by the dated decor that hasn't changed for many years. Decided on the spur of the moment to give it a go, expectations were not high. Visited with 3 other family members. We had the fixed menu for 4 people. We all loved it and ate every last bit, despite the large portions!!! Staff were friendly, service was excellent. So apart from the dated decor I could not find fault and already planning my next visit.

Just love this Gem of a Chinese restaurant 💗 We visited last night with friends from Birmingham and they loved it 😍 Efficient and friendly customer service and all courses hot and tasty. Lovely, lovely evening.

Food was delicious and the portions were really good for the price. Loved the egg fried rice on a hot plate and the option for chopsticks or knife and fork. The soup was really good and the soup spoon was a nice touch

Went here to have a family get together . It was very busy and the owners were very polite ,friendly and worked hard. There was 9 of us and all the food we came out hot and everyone enjoyed their food. The service was a little slow and we didn't quiet get our mains all out atcthe same time but this was not a major issue. The portion sizes were ok and the only complaint is that it is a bit expensive. I had Cantonese fillet steak ,which was nice but it was just thin slices of steak with some onion, and i paid £15.60 for this and on the take out menu it is £7.80. I know you have to add some on for sitting in but nearly double the take price is a bit steep. Again, nice food,cosy little place and pleasant staff.

Lovely service, friendly staff and lovely food. We had yuk sung which is minced pork in lettuce and salt and pepper ribs. It was delicious Main course beef in black pepper and veg chow mein and egg fried rice. All very nice but the beef dish was sweet not spicy for a black pepper dish. Nice though !

Ate here yesterday evening during our family break to Drayton Manor. When we arrived, we were greeted by two very friendly members of staff. From start to finish, nothing was too much trouble and the food was very tasty with lots of choice and reasonably priced. Our toddler was very reluctant to give up his chopsticks when we had to leave and the owner (I think) let him take them with him which made his day. Felt very COVID safe here. Each table is separated by a curtain which is nice for a bit of privacy too. Would come back here again and again but sadly we don't live close by. Thanks for such a lovely evening.

It has been twelve months since we last visited Michael & Michelle at the Gemini restaurant through lockdown and health problems, but it was an enjoyable experience. The standard of service and quality of food was still excellent. Well done both keep it up in these trying times.

I’ve been visiting Gemini for over a decade and it is without doubt the best restaurant in Tamworth. The service is outstanding and the food is beautiful.

I took my daughter here for dinner last night and it was a pleasant little experience. The chap (presumably the owner) was very accommodating, although small-looking the place is nicely laid out. The food was good and reasonably priced.I’ve lived in Tamworth for 40 years and this is the first time I’ve been here. I think I’d go back.

I recently ordered a meal to take away from this restaurant. We have used it before but not for a couple of years. Starters: Yuk Sung, BBQ Spare RibsMains: Chicken Fried Rice & Crispy Chicken in Spicy SauceFirstly, we have tried so many different Chinese restaurants/takeaways and, as far as my local area is concerned, this is up there with the best. We waited 15 mins for our food which is expected for a Saturday evening. We was offered a drink while we wait by the friendly lady (manageress?). Our food arrived well packed in containers and bags. After the 10 min drive home, the food was still piping hot and delicious. My personal favorite was the Yuk Sung which was fresh and tasty. I would definitely recommend this place for eating in or taking away.

Placed order in restaurant, had to wait for 45 minutes, got order home, items were missing, called them, they didn't care, food we did receive was tasteless and dry Used to be regular customers but it's gone down hill, won't be using them again

As other people have said in their revues it is with great pleasure we welcome back Michael and Michelle with the reopening of the Gemini restaurant. We were a party of four who enjoyed an excellent meal and good atmosphere in a nicely refurbished setting.Keep up the good work thanks to all.

After an extended closure, this restaurant has finally reopened. The only eat in Chinese in Tamworth, with Fabulous food, friendly Hosts, good portions, and reasonable prices. Could do with tablecloths though....

Tamworth is overflowing with average (or worse) Indian restaurants and yet it has one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve ever been to. The restaurant was busy but the service was still very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. Set meal “G” for 4 with added Crispy Duck pancakes. Amazing. All our favourites in one set meal for a great price. We’re definitely going back and enjoying their TzingDao beer. Perfect, a must go restaurant.

So thrilled to read that you had reopened so we just had to visit ! My husband and I visited tonight, thankfully we had booked as it was a full house ! Friendly warm welcome, courteous service and oh my delicious food and plenty of it ! Set meal for two -- Yuk Sung, Spare Ribs, Sizzling Beef with Black Bean Sauce, Prawns with Bamboo Shoots & Mushrooms, Chicken with Cashew Nuts and Special Fried Rice all for £19:50 each ! What's not to like ! We will be back !

Thank goodness this restaurant has reopened. Best Chinese in the area, we didnt come close to finding somewhere any where near as good as Gemini. Owners are brilliant, food as good as ever, Chinese back on the table!

Friday night we returned to our favorite Chinese restaurant,which reopened after refurbishment. Was it worth the wait? Absolutely! the food was as delicious as ever if not even better. Food & drinks pricing excellent value as always. Welcome back Michael & Michelle best wishes for a busy future.

I have been eating regularly at The Gemini restaurant for years & the food is always lovely & the owner is always very friendly. I was disappointed when I last tried to eat there around April time as it was closed for refurbishment & has been closed ever since. I am hoping it reopens again as it was a great place to go with family or with friends & very competitively priced.

Experience over all wasn't bad but the food isn't very good. Very poor quality meat and sauces were bland.

Cannot believe we arrived at the restaurant last Friday and there was a notice on the door closed for refurbishment. It was for a party of 7 people which had been booked for abirthday celebration. Very very disappointed they did not have the courtesy to contact us. Very poor service, would not return. Check it’s open before you go!!!!

Very friendly efficient staff. Menu covered all meat choices and a selection of vegetarian options. Food was hot and delicious. Would recommend without hesitation.

Four of us went for a meal on Christmas Eve it was our first visit to this Restauraunt but it won’t be the last, We had a set meal for two and two individual meals which were all excellent, the service was quick and friendly what else can I say.

Took a chance and just popped in hoping to get a table. Restaurant quite quiet and we were seated immediately. Opted for one of the set meals for four and we were all impressed with the quality and the selection of food provided . Would certainly go back again.

Delivery time estimated between 25-55 minutes which, on a Saturday we kind of expected. Later we see our delivery time was added an extra 30 minutes on. We were in a hotel but I left my number and instructions regarding the fact I was in a hotel so that they could phone when it arrived and we would come down and collect it. Luckily, one of us went to reception to ask something because we see a person holding our order talking to reception not knowing how to get it to us? My friend luckily asked if it was our order and we got our food. The food itself was good, but, as tedious as it sounds. Spending £30 on Chinese, having a late delivery and not having prawn crackers thrown in for good measure was disappointing.

On previous takeouts food has been very good but on this occasion the rice was very cold on delivery, very minimal vegetables in dishes (advised due to other customers preferences) and sauces were watery. Partial refund given although we had to drive to the restaurant to get it.

Ate here many times and can't fault the food & prices. However my husband & I were the only people eating in the restaurant last night & it wasn't a good experience. Starters didn't arrive together. My husband ordered garlic fried rice with extra garlic (there was no garlic in it at all) with his main course, I ordered boiled rice with my main course which was completely forgotten until I chased it. Then during our meal we could hear a rustling sound which we discovered was the staff eating fish? & chips out of the wrapper off the bar counter! This is the first time we haven't left a tip but this needed to be said.

Every time I order from Gemini, I know the food quality is head and shoulders above the average. Every selection is carefully presented, and always fresh and heavenly quality. Tonight's feast, was as good as ever.

Very disappointed. Spent almost £80 and the food was very very poor - alot of it was thrown away as no one could eat it. Curries tasted metallic and had slimey texture, didnt taste natural, clearly full of MSG. Ribs almost broke our teeth, very dry so were difficult to digest. No flavour from battered prawns and battered chicken. Best bit was Yuk Shung as it seemed fresh and had a nice flavour. Not happy I paid so much for such poor quality. Never again! 😣

Veg fried rice, could not tell what the veg was the bits were so small, rice burnt, not nice really, I have only left 1 or two bad reviews ever but this is truely well deserved! I do not think I would order again! Delivery driver was polite...

No ha estado a la Gemini durante unos años, pero nos pareció que la comida era tan magnífico como antes. El personal es encantador y amable como lo han sido siempre. Tuvimos el menú de 4, que era muy buena y muy buena relación calidad-precio para la cantidad que te dan. Debería haber 5 estrellas pero tuvimos que esperar un largo rato para los entrantes y una larga espera hasta las principales comidas. Era un sábado por la noche y estaban ocupados, pero 2 mesas que llegaron después de nosotros tenía su sirven comidas antes que nosotros, así que era un poco irritante. Estoy seguro de que fue una de esas noches y 9 de cada 10 veces que no sucedan de nuevo, pero tengo que escribir, ya que estaba en la noche.

worst Chinese I've ever had. chicken balls and chips seriously over cooked and the chicken was dry.. mixed starter had bits missing, curry too spicy to eat and overall a waste of £28.

placed an order at 6.10pm and was estimated to arrive at 7.05pm but was delivered at 6.20pm. the chicken in both meals were pink inside, rang to complain only to be told it would be OK to eat.... I told them I wouldn't be eating under cooked chicken and was offered a refund for the two chicken dishes only. ( not for the rice and chips which I had already put on the plate with the chicken !!!) I was told the driver would be back tonight to give me my refund. 10.30pm came so I rang back, was told they are too busy and stated I've got to go myself to collect my refund from the restaurant........ really awful service. very disappointed!

Extremely disappointed - starter was okay which is good as the chicken and pineapple I ordered for my main tasted and smelled like it had been seasoned with fairy liquid - went in the bin. Husband said his was lovely.
