decided to visit gbk again and had another wonderful experience, the korean bbq chicken is amazing and that freemilkshake card came in handy

Wonderful place for a delicious burger! Definitely try the bacon cheddar burger. You will not be disappointed! Not to be missed when in Liverpool.

Watched the Liverpool game. Ordered panko hey pesto and taxi driver burger with truffle cheese fries. Tried the strawberry elderflower and p-star martini. Food was great. Staff very friendly. Jessica was very helpful and informative. Definitely will be back

Out of all the places to eat in Liverpool for my nieces birthday, I think we picked the worst choice. The menu sounds fantastic but what our group of five experienced was standard at best. At almost £80 for four of us with another ordering separate, I wasn’t expecting the world but I was expecting decent tasting burgers which you can get from five guys next door. When we arrived, we didn’t wait long for the staff to seat us and they did move tables to accommodate us which was a nice start, but when we ordered, there were not many tables in operation so I did not expect a 40 minute wait for food. When the order came out, two were served first, then myself five minutes later and we had to ask for the fourth person who had a kids meal (which I would have assumed given chicken and chips would be first before burgers). Another person ordered separately within ten minutes of our order but some had finished their food before they had theirs which was also a basic chicken and chips. I would like to point out service was lacking. If you’d seen a table of five and noticed one person without a meal, surely you’d check on that meal or update that person of the wait. The fact they had been left for another twenty minutes, made some of our food cold by waiting for us to all start together. (In this time, other tables had burgers served and some tables ordered after this person placed their order which annoyed me the most). We didn’t have cutlery on the tables and had to ask for napkins. Getting a staff members attention (given there are plenty) wasn’t successful. No one asked if we were ok or if there was anything we needed, it was a simple “dump the food and leave” which is alien to me. I ordered a taxidriver burger cooked well but it came with a flag that said medium so I left the middle of the burger as it was not to my taste. The burger itself was greasy and heavy but the onion rings and sweet potato fries I had as a side were a good choice. The chicken tenders two people had were over cooked so they were left in parts and most of the food except the chicken burgers were warm at best (Some of this was due to waiting for the fifth person to get their meal). The chicken burgers seemed best as both enjoyed them and they were extremely hot given the fact they came out first. I hear some of you asking “why didn’t you send your food back?” .. the reasons are simple and many. (we were on a deadline with getting home, getting staffs attention wasn’t happening at best and we were too hungry to wait another forty plus minutes). The facilities are by far the worst I’ve seen in a very long time. When you do need to use the toilet, you can learn to ski with the skating up and down the three sets of steps you’ll do. Each step had grease or water but there is a handrail that I heavily suggest you use. When you get to the female toilets, you’re spoilt for choice between a toilet with the dispenser on the floor without paper or the toilet with the dispenser almost off the wall with paper. You won’t need a plug for the sink either as they slowly drain. Overall would I recommend this place to others given the fact there are competitors in the same row? No… Would I recommend you try somewhere else with better service and organisation? Absolutely..

We visited here today and had the special price burger and fries for £7. I had a chicken burger with bacon and American cheese. My husband had a plain burger and fries. We had a happy hour milk shake and a pint of lager for £4 each with a side of extra bbq sauce. Apparently this is the new menu that started today …. they asked for our feedback …. gotta say it was really good value and tasty food! The staff were so lovely and attentive. This will make us definitely return.

GBK used to be my favourite place in town to get a burger but unfortunately I won't be returning after my most recent visit. The burger ordered was medium rare, this was overdone. The baconnaise tasted absolutely awful, it tasted like chemicals and was quite acidic. Onion rings were so chewy I actually spat it out. Staff didn't come over once to check on our meal. Sat at the table afterwards for 15 mins after eating and no one came over and cleared our plates despite the restaurant being empty on a Thursday night. Really disappointed and feel robbed of £50. It's an expensive place and usually I wouldn't mind paying as I've never had a bad meal here but sadly I won't return after this latest experience. Haven't been in about a year so maybe everything's changed.

I went here with my partner on a Saturday evening for a bite to eat. The restaurant has a nice buzz to it and we were given a reallt friendly welcome by Ashlea and seated quickly. Ashlea was very attentive and helped us with anything we needed, she made the dining experience at GBK enjoyable as she was very cheerful and bubbly. The food was lovely! Thanks.

Strolling through Liverpool one out of all hospitality venues we chose this one, I had American cheese burger, my partner a classic Chicken, I have been a working chef for 47 years, I have made fresh burgers for sites I have worked at, also at home, yours have got to be the best I've tasted, a great recipe it would seem using 3 cuts of beef delivering a crumbly but firm flavoursome burger, ordered medium and cooked to perfection. My partner fancied chicken and had the grilled classic chicken, again cooked to perfection yet moist with a lovely chargrill flavour. My partner had a cider, I had a Vegan vanilla shake made with oatmilk which was thick and full of flavour, the service was top notch, great atmosphere, if you guys need a slogan. BURGERS TO BOAST ABOUT!

My partner and I visited here tonight. The service was fantastic. The manager sat with us to help us get our order sorted on the app as we had a deal on there. All of the staff were lovely.. The food was gorgeous too! We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back

Arrived, greeted straight away and allowed to pick a table to sit at. We sat down and it was explained either order at till or on app. Told they have run out on certain burgers. We ordered via the app, which was a little bit a faff but managed in end. Used the toilets, not very tidy, lack of toilet paper. Food came quite quickly but our drinks didn't come till half way through food after asking for them. Asked for changes on my burger but came with the item I didn't want. Also we were the only family and another couple in there so not exactly run off their feet. No one asked was everything OK. Female server was then brushing up around us when it wasn't needed. Next another member of staff from the kitchen was sat on his phone right next to us when he was on his break. He soon got told to move by management. Wouldn't want to see this place busy. Wish I never gave a tip now when ordering via app. Didn't deserve it. Nothing above and beyond.

Very disappointed this was the first time at this restaurant and although the staff were Bernice the actual place is very shabby and tired looking. The cleanliness was poor and we waited quite a while for our food which when it came it was lukewarm and on a totally inadequate sized plate. All in all not a great experience.

Phoned GBK ahead of visit and staff member we spoke to was super helpful and remembered we'd called. Sorry I have forgotten name, but made us feel really welcome. Food arrived quickly, cooked as requested (well done etc.) and most importantly tasted delicious. Of particular note were the onion rings. The best we have tasted in a long time! This in no way effected our visit, but I would agree with others that some of the decor, particularly the yellow leather seating, could do with updating. More as we were so impressed by the food and the front of house member of staff who served us that it seems a shame that this might put people off. We would definitely go again next time we are in Liverpool.

Visited after a cinema visit and so very handy for Odeon. Looked warm and inviting and it was. Great staff really considerate and helpful and very hands on . The food arrived in good time and was extremely tasty. Staff the best!

We arrived on a Friday night but hadn’t booked. We managed to get a seat but the restaurant was very busy and people after us had to wait a while to get seated. This promised big things, if its this popular the food must be good. We were told about using the app and ordering on line. This we tried and what a very pleasant surprise, everything worked and we got the drinks and food ordered efficiently and in good time. Now the food - it was excellent! The burgers we ordered were cooked precisely as ordered and tasted great. I would recommend this place to everyone.

We came on a very busy day, I wish we had the name of the man who greeted us because he was so friendly and thorough at getting people a table and making sure our wait was as comfortable and quick.
