Really lovely independent pizzeria. Good service and even though we hadn't booked they found us a table on a busy Friday night. Good variety of classic and more adventurous toppings on super crispy bases.

Probably the worst pizza in Margate. Consistently soggy base. Managerial staff are rude and dismissive to younger staff and members of the public. The atmosphere is that which makes you feel you need to leave before you’ve even finished eating. Save yourself the hassle when there are so many better options nearby. Recommend: The pickled Fox. Palms Pizza. Even tops pizza is nicer.

Haven't been here since it re-opened recently but standards have not dropped. I went here for a work lunch for my birthday and the staff couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. I even got a birthday treat! I had the ham and mushroom pizza and added chili flakes and oil. Delectable!

Worst pizza I’ve ever had. It’s like burnt pita bread with pizza toppings. Avoid services is terrible, rude and very unprofessional.

We visited this restaurant as a group of four and had a disappointing experience. We booked for 7 pm, but unfortunately, one of the main ingredients, which was in almost every pizza, had run out. Our pizzas arrived at 7:40 pm without any prior notice. When I inquired, they claimed they had informed us, which was not the case. The pizzas were also sparsely topped, and the bases were slightly burnt which took the flavour of it. We didn't raise our concerns immediately, but when we went to pay at 8 pm, we were told to leave as another party had arrived. When we pointed out that we had only been there for an hour, they apologized and offered us a voucher for next time, which we are unlikely to use. While I understand the need to manage reservations, it was disheartening to see two or three tables being rushed out, creating a stressful atmosphere. Overall, the experience was disappointing and I have had much better pizzas elsewhere including the ones I prepared at home.

Really good pizza and the staff are a hoot! I won’t bother looking around for pizza if I’m in town again, will be straight back here for sure.

A lovely restaurant with superb pizza. Thin base, quality toppings, and very well cooked. The garlic dough balls were also excellent. Wine was good, service was great, it's very hard to fault the experience - I look forward to going again!

Booked a table for six for a birthday meal out with friends. We ordered our food and drinks and enjoyed the atmosphere whilst catching up with one another. Unfortunately, we had to wait an hour for our food and witnessed multiple tables, that had arrived substantially later than we had, be served their pizzas before us. We were understanding that a larger group may take slightly longer than a table of two or three, however, as we had pre booked a table, the restaurant were aware of the number of guests that would be arriving and at what time. We were also not informed of the estimated time that we would have to wait. Given that four of us ordered the same pizza, it was not particularly complex. Once it had arrived, we all thoroughly enjoyed the food as it was to the usual high standard that I have always received from GB, however, I have never had, nor would ever expect, to wait an hour for food, especially without being updated. Upon receiving the bill, the server had forgotten to remove the £30 deposit from the total which is an understandable mistake. When we requested that it be taken off as the website states is policy, we were initially met with some confusion and being told that it could be taken off “if you want”. Because of the slow service, we requested that the discretionary service charge be removed also, which was once again met with confusion and awkwardness. I will be returning to GB as the pizza is exceptional, however, the service could be improved upon.

This is a great pizza restaurant in the heart of Margate. Fresh ingredients on very thin and crispy bases, friendly service, reasonably priced - can’t go wrong!

Nice fresh pizza, quick service and great menu. A really good place to visit for some casua dining and good quality food. We always have an enjoyable meal at GB Pizza, they just seem to get it right every time. There is real skill in designing such delicious toppings.

When I phoned to place an order they were very polite and attentive to detail and when I got there the staff was very polite and welcoming I’ve never ordered from here before but you really need to taste their pizzas they speak for them self’s seriously absolutely amazing mouthwatering and yes I will definitely be back and telling my friends about your lovely place thank you for a lovely meal

A cute staple of Margate that's a must-go-to whether for visitors and locals alike. The staff have always been very friendly and the food is unlike any other pizza restaurants. The menu selection is a highlight of fun and interesting ideas that work really well together, mix this with some seasonal specials and accommodation for vegans, and you've got yourself a menu to be proud of. The food itself has always been consistently hot and tasty, although it does take a little while to come out in my experience, that just proves how fresh it all really is.

Pizza was delicious and the staff went out of their way to make sure my family were comfortable and had a great time.

Pre concert pizza - brilliant place. Pizza was fantastic, lovely thin crust and full of flavour, nice bottle of cider to boot and great friendly service from the team. Thoroughly recommended.

Went today with my siblings. Really good pizzas. Staff made us welcome . Can't fault them over anything. Fantastic service. Great we could take our dogs in also. Well worth a visit .

Didn,'t believe the hype of this pizza shop but after tasting it - I am a believer!! Service was extremely friendly too, however I would say one pizza is not enough, I returned home wanting more

Had to squeeze in before the evening rush as we hadn't booked. Was somehwat taken aback by the idea of having to eat pizza fingers only, but the messiness added to the experience. The pizzas we had were fantastic, they also serve curious pale ale and some nice wines. Well worth the visit. We'll book next time.

My son and I were met with a terse ‘can I help you’ by a girl behind the bar at as if we’d wandered into her front room. We asked to dine in and sat waiting to be served for about 15 minutes despite gesturing, turning to them and making eye contact and also approaching the bar to ask for assistance. One girl eventually served us and then stepped across to whisper something in her colleagues ear before they both laughed. Really unpleasant vibes. My sons pizza was distinctly average.

Unfortunately, this pizzeria is rapidly degrading. I really liked the pear and goat cheese pizza, but they have completely changed the ingredients and it is now completely impossible to eat. in addition, two of the four pizzas we ordered were burnt. the service has become very slow even though only 3 tables were occupied. i'm afraid this was the last time we dined here. too bad.

Update: Got to try it, probably one of the worst pizza I've ever had. How dare they even put that out of the oven, first of all, didn't even looked round, secondly, completely burnt and so thin and crispy... We were a table of 4 and all of us were literally embarrassed to be eating this food. Service was OK (friendly waitress) but the owner was rude both times we've been here.

Around Saturday at 3pm we were spoilt for choice for food near the Turner Gallery, but really fancied fish and chips on the beach so headed to the sea front. As we walked by a staff member brought out 2 pizzas to a couple sitting outside, my partner said 'those look good', so we turned around and headed in. We ordered a Margherita and a Beef Salami with horseradish pizza and a half pint of local IPA...They were all amazing. The ambiance was great and there were quite a few other diners including a young family with 2 kids. Food came in a timely fashion and we were well looked after. We are definitely coming back

Have never been to a place this good. Had a pizza without cheese (I'm recently lactose intolerant) and it was genuinely the best pizza I've ever had. The music was fun, the vibe was cosy and chilled... it was OPEN on a Monday and they accepted us quite late in the evening. Staff were so friendly and warm and gave us loads of helpful advice for staying in Margate. My sister used to live in Margate and said she misses this place - I see what she means! Hoping to come back to Margate soon to re-visit this gem.

Stopped as a family of four including two young children on 6pm on a Saturday night. Waiting staff were accommodating on a busy night and found us a table after about 10 minutes. We came here on basis of great location and positive reviews / awards. Pros: flavours on pizzas were great, nice drinks selection, nice decor, friendly waiting staff (if very rushed - seemed understaffed, hence 4 stars for service) Cons: pizzas were weirdly thin. I realise opinions pizza bases are naturally subjective, but having eaten a fair amount in both London and Italy we were surprised by how thin they were - more flatbread than pizza. A previous reviewer said they were more weight watchers wraps than pizzas, and that’s about right for me. Just about saved by the very delicious toppings. Also - music was too loud for early evening, hence 3 stars for atmosphere.

We love it at GB, it’s a regular for us. The wood-fired pizzas are delicious and the team are really creative with the flavours and ingredients. Ellis, Chan and the team provide excellent service and the tables look directly out onto Margate Sands and the setting sun. Best pizza in Thanet if not Kent!

We visited Margate and we're so disappointed, however GBPizza gave us somewhere welcoming , cozy and warm with really tasty food and drink. So glad we stumbled across this place especially being dog friendly. The front of house was so friendly and welcoming it made our trip worthwhile.

This is our second time at GB Pizza and we will definitely be back, the owner is really friendly and its a nice escape from the chaos of Margate beach. Lovely pizzas that are mega thin but incredibly tasty, dont know how they do it but I'm glad they do!

We stumbled across this place on the way home and are so glad we did. The staff are super friendly and gave great recommendations. We melted over the garlic doughballs and honestly, we're still dreaming about it. You can taste the freshness in the dough and ingredients. Can't wait to go back.

Came to Margate on a busy sunny weekend and fancied pizza for dinner with the kids, we stumbled on GB Pizza and Co. Not only were the pizzas super tasty but the team working were so friendly! Really makes a difference to your experience when you feel so welcome. Highly recommend the ice cream sandwiches if you’ve got room for pudding!

Sat outside on a really hot day, no shade sadly. Indoors was lovely and cool though when I went to the toilet! Had a cheese board, so can't comment on pizza.

Don't think this can actually be called pizza. Had the no smoke without fire - it's just a tortilla wrap with a bit of tomato sauce and a very small amount of cheese. The only saving grace was the hot sauce was nice.

OH MY GOSH. This statement might be a little divisive and I'm sure it is not the same across the board, but I am a little tentative of eating on the waterfront of anywhere! I wandered into this pizza place with two hungry, hot, tired kids on one of those mega hot days. The server was so friendly and sat us immediately. The pizza came quite quickly, we went with kids size cheese+tom obvs and garlic dough balls. Every single thing was delicious. I was hoping for scraps but the little blighters ate it all. Will definitely go back... ...thanks for having us and the great pizza 🍕💖 Not many pics the food was scoffed and my son who don't eat very much at all FINISHED IT!!!!!

This was delicious and probably the best pizza I have ever had service was incredible. My server Chelsey was amazing and very kind and gave off such positive energy and made this experience much more enjoyable and just everyone seemed very nice and seemed like they were having fun with their jobs. The atmosphere was top notch and the set up of the restaurant was lovely and they even have charging ports below the seats. Also this is cheap for the best quality ive ever had, amazing prices. There are great options for vegans and vegetarians. The music on was very groovy and a good sound level for conversation. Overall I really recommend to try out this restaurant on margate seafront, I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do.

No cheese on a very thin based pizza, so thin the crust broke!! Very nice lady gave 20% off but other member of staff disagreed , even though we showed the unate pizza slices. Very amuzing indeed. Won't be back.

We had dinner here on Friday 26th July. When we arrived we were told it would be a 30 min wait for food, which was fine for us. We did end up waiting an hour but that is not the reason for the one star review. There were lots of people moaning that food was taking too long and the restaurant manager had a difficult job dealing with this but she did it well and professionally. On the table next to us was a group of three who after an hour of waiting decided to leave. The manager dealt with this really well, giving them a card for a discount next time and apologising. About 5 mins after they left a women came out of the kitchen (I believe the owner) screaming at the poor manager telling her they were VIPs and had she known she would have brought their order to the front of the queue. The manager rightly said that isn’t fair as there are lots of people still waiting for food. The woman from the kitchen continued to shout at the manager in front of everyone in a busy restaurant. This is such horrible nasty toxic behaviour. There is no way I’d ever eat here and support this business again. I wonder if all the people who supported this business when it burnt down realise this is the reality? If the manager reads this please know you are great at your job and deserve better. Please leave and go work somewhere where you are appreciated. If you are the owner this business you really need to think about your toxic behaviour and how that reflects on your business. You’re a disgrace.

Went on the 26.7.24 Had a table booked , table was ready, best part of the whole experience. Was supposed to be my birthday meal treat,been wanting to go to GB Pizza for a long time. 😕 Were told pizzas could take about 35 min but if we order a starter ,food will come a little quicker, so we did. 😬 Had to wait over an hour for a pizza,a cheesy pizza . Really!!! Manager could do with a little costumer service 'update'. Or she might just had a very ,very bad day? Takeaway food seemed to come out a lot quicker. Not great when you're sitting there ,hungry. Table next to us complained about their food taking to long,too. Do not agree in paying 12.5% service charge, what get's added ' automatically' !!!!! Sorry but we are not coming back. Music far too loud.

Really nice place, sweet design and friendly staff. The taste of pizza was amazing. The only thing that if you looking for to feel full, this place might not be the best option. The pizza slightly thicker than A4 paper and it would be only having great top and taste but not the best one to leave with “ok no more feeling starve”

The pizza was great. We stopped there before going to a festival to have something to eat and a beer. The staff were super friendly and served us excellently. The pizza came quickly and tasted really great. We'd be happy to go again

Food was lovely, but our order was wrong. The lady who was serving our table was quite rude about her error, she stated that she had observed that the pizza my husband was pointing at wasn't the pizza he ordered. He was only holding a menu, not pointing at a pizza. He did eventually receive the right pizza, the other staff were friendly & helpful.

A colleague and I happened upon this place while were working nearby. We had tried a couple of other places that were closed and I'm glad they were or we wouldn't have found it. Great pizza and a welcome change from Neopolitan. Thin and crispy base, great sauce, great topping, great service and a great story to boot. Just a shame I live so far from it. I had a classic Margate'arita and an Ole. So good I came back the next night to take some home. Thoroughly recommend.

Pizzas flavour were okay but nothing to write home about unfortunately they were eaten within around 3 minutes. Far too thin, and lacking cheese. More of a weight watchers wrap than a pizza, so possibly a good option if you’re on a diet. Came to £45 for two pizzas and two beers after a 12.5% discretionary tip is automatically added. We got kfc flamin wraps afterwards as we was still hungry. Staff were friendly and atmosphere was nice.

Was wanting to go here for the longest time and finally did so. Pizza's were crisp and tasty with some really nicely chosen ingredients. Hopefully next time I come I can be a bit more brave with my choices to try more out. Staff were super accommodating and when we needed to move table due to the noise from others, they were able to help immediately. Very happy indeed.

Situated at Margate seafront, we sat outside on a sunny evening and enjoyed the sunset. We tried the hotdog sausage pizza , which I wasn’t really impressed with, and the Smokey Nduja sausage with hot honey, which was really good.

Really amazing pizza's, the best we have had since Sardinia! The base is brilliant, light and crispy which really makes the pizza. Good drinks selection and the sides on the menu work well with the pizza!

The place is amazing. Firstly you get the beach view. We went there when the sun was setting and it was very nice to see the colours of sky being changed. The pizzas were amazing as well. The crust was very light and crisp and their garlic oil was just amazing.

Just the best pizzas. Thin and crispy base with huge flavours in the toppings . Love that they use so much local produce too. It's a must visit every time we come to Margate. The pear and blue cheese is a favourite. Great seasonal specials too: English asparagus and egg this time, so good.

Simple yet delightful experience. Having tasted the pizzas on offer ..washed down with a nice local beer ..worth the wait ..might be an idea to book ahead as this place gets very busy .

The pizza could have been from the freezer. It was basically pita bread with ketchup. The garlic bread was horrendous.

Great place with lovely staff but pretty terrible pizza. Paper thin base, small and tight with the toppings. Very over priced for what you get.

Really tasty pizza and a good drinks selection. The thing that makes this place excellent is the opportunity to watch my gluten intolerant wife happily chow down on pizza and ice-cream sandwiches with confidence.

Really friendly and attentive service coupled with absolutely delicious, and if you’re feeling adventurous, unusual, pizzas. Be prepared to eat with your fingers as there’s no cutlery at the tables unless you ask.

We stopped in for lunch where all pizzas were £8. I had the beef chorizo with horseradish cream pizza, and got the alioli and chilli jam dips. The pizza was mind blowingly good. It's no Italian style pizza but wow I wish I lived in Margate so I could come here all the time. The dips were also fantastic. I'll be back here any time in visiting the area.

Paper thin pizza at a premium price. Went here with a group of people recently, 1 in 6 of the pizzas we had was actually nice, not really sure what was going on with the rest of the pizza, miniscule amounts of tomato & mozzarella, on a wafer thin, burnt piece of pizza dough. Staff nonchalant, service slow & food bad. We won't be back.

First, the tomato sauce is absolutely horrible, the pizza are terribly small and flat and absolutely disgusting but the waiter are cool. To expensive for this. I DONT recommend it. READ THIS.

Had an amazing dinner at GB pizza co this weekend! The staff fitted us in very last minute and the service was excellent. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and kind. The pizza was gorgeous and cooked perfectly. Will definitely be coming back!

Ordered the meat feast, was really refreshing to have a pizza without cheese but still so flavourful, was a new experience and much lighter than ‘normal’ pizzas but still very filling! Really glad I tried it and would definitely have it again. The lady serving me was super nice too!

Brilliant pizza, lots of options and extras. They come on a thin and crispy base, but the crusts are still very dippable (I'd recommend the garlic butter). I went for a wild mushroom and truffle pizza, the truffle oil was brilliant quality and thoroughly enjoyed each bite. My sister said the wine was "nice, yeah" (she had a glass of red tempranillo). The atmosphere was great, excellent music choices, and me and the family loved the bright yellow crockery. Overall an amazing pizza experience.

Me and my wife ordered the meat feast as a takeaway to eat on the margate steps. And I can say sincerely it was the best pizza I've had in this country ever. 100% will be retuning recommend to anyone.

Fun, friendly, low-stress and, better still, delicious pizza. Very thin crust -- more like a flat-bread than a typical pizza. But creative and delectable toppings. A no-brainer if you've got kids or a dog (or both).

Monday eve pizza dinner. Had arugula (rocket) salads to start - with some shaved Parmesan and light balsamic dressing. Some olives to snack on. Four different pizzas. Each was very nice. Special price of 7 pounds for main pizzas on Mondays is a deal. Staff was great even under busy pressure - Evie in particular took great care of us!

Such a lovely place!! 10/10 service, kind, polite, happy staff. Very accommodating with takeaway orders, take your number and give you a call when ready to collect. I came here twice and ordered gluten free pizzas - super yummy, generous toppings. Highly recommended :)
