Do not bother ordering from here!!! Portions are so tiny and disgusting & they brought the wrong item and refused to refund me! (hana Japanese restarunt) is much better a lot cheaper and really tasty! Larger portions too!

Reasonably good Pizza. Garlic bread was a "surprise" it was more of a Garlic Naan!!! If you are used to American pizza joint and selections you are in for a surprise. The Pasta dishes were delicious. Good beer selection.

We were on vacation and looking for a simple dinner close to our hotel. This fit the bill perfectly. There are good choices for wines by the glass. The food came quickly and was tasty. We tried a soup, a salad, and their seasonal pizza. The soup was hot, the salad was refreshing, and the pizza was well-seasoned. There was enough attention from the waiters without being smothered or ignored.

Our previous visit to this branch of Zizzi was much better due to two things: the food was tastier and there were more waiting staff on the earlier visit. The waiter this time was very good but simply did not have the time to engage as staff had previously. This was also true on a recent visit to another Zizzi and it feels as though the absolute bare minimum number of staff are now being employed to maximise profits, but to the detriment of the dining experience. Perhaps more seriously, I think one of the main reasons to go to Zizzi is consistency. It doesn't pretend to be fine dining, but you go because you know what you will get. However, the food was much better in December (including many of the same dishes) and a dish eaten earlier this month in another branch was fine, but even looked quite different this time. There is nothing to really complain about here, but nothing to make me go back soon. Perhaps I have (quite unusually) eaten in Zizzis too frequently in recent months.

Fantastic Italian meal with great service on Christmas Eve!

Super fast delivery, everything tasted delicious, only downside was that the gyoza were cold and a little soggy.

The food in Zizzi was better than I remembered having not been for a few years, but the service was what stood out. Our waitress was just superb: great attention to what people were saying (including 2 kids) without ever being intrusive and all while she was quite busy. The manager too was great and removed one dessert from our bill due to a small delay, which was an unnecessary, but classy touch. The Zizzi we went to is not local to us, so we may not visit again soon, but I am sure we will go to another branch much sooner than we would otherwise have done.

Fend sushi tried twice to make me pay again when I had prepaid. Once on the door Again on the phone while I was eating. Unacceptable.

Very very expensive for what it is

The restaurangens full booked. We were told that it would be long before we will get the food but they ciuld give us a table ti dit and wait. We were supprisedtaht from we git the table until we had eatenit only took 50 min. The staff did everything to make Us happy. The food was good and good valuefor the money.

Had the rahman noodles and the noodles were clumped together in a ball and there was next to no actual veg in it. The sushi itself was decent and tasted fine, but overall just felt a little let down.

Great food, the only two things were: 1 I couldn't order rice, 2 the food wasn't hot enough, it was just in cardboard in a paper bag, not enough thermal insulation. But the food was spectacular.

The vegetable Gyoza were not what I was expecting and my fresh crab rolls were a little bland. Everything else was great, super fast delivery.

We were a little bit sceptic, but really good value for money and good food overall. Nice fresh produce and waiter that grated a lot, a lot!, of cheese over my risotto. Desert was really nice: super moist chocolate tart with honeycomb, marshmallow and crazy good sauces! If you want a quick, inexpensive but good Italian meal, would definitely recommend.

The set menu for £14.95 was excellent value for money good portion sizes for the price. Nice atmosphere also.

Baby squid soup was reallyreally good, would definitely suggest it to my friends. Sushi, however, were quite dry, i order californian rolls with soft-shell crab, started to hick up after a first bite! So i put more cream additionally and covered it in lots of soya sauce. Either way, I think the price is a bit too high for the quality like that, I would never pay 11 pounds for sushi, it didn't pay off my expectations. As I said before, soup was nice, although too many peppers, more than baby squids.

I had a seafood starter and my friend had the Arancini. Both were lovely. For mains I had a spicy prawn pasta dish and my friend had a stone baked pizza. We enjoyed the food thoroughly and there was a variety of choice for all palettes. We didn't get to try any desserts as we were so full! Definitely would go back to Zizzi.

La comida se sirve en bandejas de plástico, un poco como las comidas del colegio. La grasa rodeado la hamburguesa, fue horrible.El personal era amable y nos hizo sentir como en casa pero no recomendaría comer allí.

Compré una oferta de Groupon que mi novia y yo dos hamburguesas con patatas fritas y ambos lados (hicimos las alas de pollo y queso Macaroni). La comida estaba bastante bien, la carne de hamburguesa era claramente la calidad y los lados eran muy bonitas y muy abundante. Tuve un vistazo al menú completo y creo que Burger+patatas fritas razonable de £7.50 es sin duda barato para lo que era y que me hace querer volver. Por otro lado los cócteles eran casi £10, que es bastante caro.Este lugar es una especie de un moderno bar donde también se puede comer: la decoración es genial, la música está echando las cartas y sus decadentes. Sin embargo, cuando llegamos estaba vacío, tal vez porque era cena temprana, quizás también porque está situado en el sótano, que no es lo mejor. En el otro lado es fácil de encontrar, Nottinghill Gate no puede ser mejor.El personal era muy agradable.Conclusión: volvería para una hamburguesa y patatas fritas. Sin duda merece la pena el Groupon barata.

Great atmosphere and food was quick and delicious. However had to wait a while before a waiter came over to us to show us to a table.

The meat in the burger smelt disgusting. i complained and was told that this wasnt possible as the meat was fresh daily, then the story changed to delivered Monday and Thursday... i looked around at the 3 TABLES that had diners not sure if you've few customers on a friday night it would warrant 2 deliveries per week... Anyway. the fries and coleslaw were nice, presentation was good. Music and screaming from next room meant you cant talk, or hear your dining companion. Nevertheless, serving off meat is never understandable. Inside.. its a very dark basement, im guessing a nightclub that have put tables and chairs on its dancefloor...

Delivery was on time but tuna and salmon sushi didn't seem very fresh. I didn't like the fact the ginger and wasabi already mixed together (just a preference)

This is a great comfort place for people traveling to London - you can never go wrong with pizza. With multiple locations, this particular one located near Notting Hill offers a great option to tourists in the area. The food was great and a wonderful value - the house wine was also priced very reasonably and good. The service was fine and what I expected for a crowded dinner rush. They also offer take-out which was used my many families in the area.

Great place for our family get together as suits many tastes including children. Very nice food, friendly service, though a bit short staffed. One of our meals arrived very late and took a while to get the bill, but on balance, we enjoyed it. I would go again.

Best Burgers I’ve had in a very long time! Great cocktails, cool and relaxed vibe to begin with  and a great party atmosphere later in the evening.  A great night out and will be back again.

No podía ayudar pero le dan a este lugar una revisión. No demasiado a menudo no me pasar mi tiempo en Notting Hill pero me pareció una muy buena razón para volver. Yo estaba a punto de volver a la estación de metro cuando vi Gate Bar & Restaurante haciendo hamburguesas gourmet. Caminé por las escaleras y nos recibió un bar muy agradable en un entorno subterráneo muy fresca. La comida era excelente, sabrosas hamburguesas y la carne fresca y hamacas sabor sabor. Así que estamos tomando cervezas y cócteles fantásticos, comenzamos a hablar al grupo junto a nosotros y antes de que saben que el lugar empezaron a llenar. Veo el tiempo 9 h, habíamos estado allí durante 4 horas!!! Luego pronto después de un DJ empezó a jugar y antes de que nos lo pasamos creo que estábamos totalmente sumergido en música funky y unos cuantos más cócteles. Tenía un ambiente muy agradable y lo único malo de la noche fue que tuvimos que irnos. Volveré ... la próxima semana.

I had dinner at the Gate last night, we were served quickly and food was yummy! I would highly recommend smokey burger with applewood cheddar, macaroni&cheese and coleslaw, simply delicious! The bar has dozens of cocktails to choose from and Watermelon Mojito is amazing!

Paseando por Notting Hill buscando comida llevó aquí, y según nuestra camarera "Una nueva hamburguesa clásico menú".Me considero un poco de hamburguesa entendidos, habiendo hecho U. S hamburguesa sendero y ensayado el mejor Londres tiene para ofrecer, incluyendo honesto, cinco chicos, Shake Shack sucio Burger y la carne licores mini cadena. Para ser sincero, no esperaba mucho de un lugar que es principalmente un bar pero mi no te dejan! Las hamburguesas (menos de 10 libras) llegamos en un estilo clásico bandeja de papel y grasa prueba de calentamiento, un homenaje a los Estados del sur. El pan era extremadamente luz spongey y ligeramente tostado (perfecto), y el pattie débil permitía un mejor sabor puesto. Condimentos incluidas las típicas cosas de encurtidos, tomate y una especie de 'ketchup larga cola'.Nos dejó queriendo más, y de 18 libras por un lado y un sandía Mojito impresionante volveremos la próxima semana!

Visited the Gate with a group of girlfriends on Friday and had an absolute ball! Night started with great 2 for 1 cocktails and continued with some amazing platters of nibbles that went down a treat. The venue itself is like a little old school basement bar and restaurant (charming, friendly and unassuming) but what made the night was that the whole thing turns into a proper dancing club till the early hours of the morning. All and all a great and fun night out and will be back soon.

Food took almost two hours to arrive with no indication via phone or email that it would take that long. When I rang the staff were eventually apologetic.

Celebrated my 30th birthday there recently and could not have picked a better place to do so! From the moment I made the first enquiry everyone was extremely helpful and offered me the best options available for my party. Organising a party for 50 guests can be stressful but they made it so easy and did all the work for me.When I arrived there everything was ready and set up as agreed which was a good start and the night only got better once the music got going. The canapes I ordered were simply delicious and the presentation definitely had a wow factor. Service was excellent and the team was so friendly and accommodating that it added another plus to the hole experience. The DJ played some great party tunes and all my guests really enjoyed themselves while I had a birthday to remember. A great little party venue and could not recommend it strongly enough!

Monday night group booking, restaurant was not busy but it took an age to (a) place drinks order (b) place food order (c) receive the bill. Food was good, however certainly not the best pizza I have eaten in London. Overall a pretty average experience.

My friend and I booked the restaurant for 35 guests to share our birthday with. Upon organizing the night the Bar's restaurant manager Carlo, could not have been any more helpful ensuring all measures were in place for the night and tailoring the night to our every need. The staff on the night were very friendly, knowledgeable and their service was extremely efficient for such a large number of guests ordering and eating and various times. The food was cooked to perfection, the chili and garlic chicken was so soft and succulent accompanied by noodles. The cocktail recommendations were superb and as the night drew closer to 11pm the tables were cleared away and we danced the night away until 2am to a mixture of commercial RnB, dance and pop.The night went by so smoothly thanks to the exceptional service by The Gate staff. The bar is excellent value for money based on product and service and I would recommend this venue in a heart beat.

I took my Dad and his girlfriend for a dinner to the Gate on a Friday evening about 2 weeks ago. As my Dad doesn't like to eat out, I was a bit worried how would it go. We had 3 beautiful appetizer cocktails (the barman's recommendation...) and then our starters arrived. It was a large platter of dim sums, with different home made sauces. I even asked for the recipe of their chilli and lime sauce:) Then my Dad had crispy sea bass, with pok choi, I went for the spicy shrimp salad, and the other lady had seared beef. All of the dishes came beautifully garnished and freshly made. Each of us were happy with the mains as well. Such a shame we didn't have enough stomach capacity for the desserts...Maybe next time. We were really satisfied with the service, the staff was nice and helpful. The DJ started playing at 10 pm, but it wasn't disturbingly loud, they kept the volume down until the restaurant finished. I would certainly recommend this hidden gem of Notting Hill.

Took my girlfriend to London for a surprise for her birthday... Chose Zizzi as the Friday nite meal destination. It didn't disappoint. Great food... And location. The waiter was such a laugh and very attentive. Came away feeling great as did my gf. Didn't spend a bomb either.

You can never go wrong with Zizi.<br />Great food, especially their spicy sausage pasta! We also tried a fabulous rose which was infused with peach and strawberries which took me by surprise as I am not usually a sweet wine person, but it went perfectly with our meal.

As a large group, we enjoyed our meal there, the waiter was very attentive and learned our sign language in order to communicate with each diner individually on the spot - well done waiter!! :-)<br /><br />Food could have been hotter - mine arrived lukewarm but otherwise it was excellent.

We have visited this restaurant since the opening of Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park The food is always excellent the staff very friendly and helpful and serivce tops. It is always nice to know that after walking around and getting cold, that there will be a warm atmosphere awaiting.

We had heard that Zizzi was highly rated for Italian food in the area. We were most disappointed. The "welcome" was surly, the waiter unhappy and most unhelpful. The food was unremarkable. A poor copy of Pizza Express!

I don't normally take the time to write reviews on here but as I've started using the mobile app of trip advisor, I came across the page of what has become something of a favourite hang out place for me and my friends.I only found out about this place by purchasing a groupon voucher and I have to say I was surprised to read the other two reviews on here. To prove their questionable nature, the vouchers mentioned in them clearly specified the number of pieces on the platter (I know as I bought the same voucher and the title of the offer was "£18 for a 16 piece dim sum platter and a cocktail each" !).In addition to that, I found the quality of the food to be exquisite and the service friendly and efficient. The whole venue turns into a dance club with a DJ so that added value to our visit as we were allowed to keep our table for the whole evening and the party atmosphere was second to none (fair enough it was a Saturday night and the place was busy).It has since become a favourite as I live close by and even without the discounted offer, it's worth every penny and I've always been looked after by the staff there.

We had dinner with a Groupon voucher and, everything considered, were slightly disappointed: For 18 GBP, the offer promised a cocktail and a dim sun platter (without specifying the quantity) which turned out to be at most an appetizer which elsewhere you would get for 2-3 GBP. Quality was correct, but if you expect value for money, stay away from Gate Bar.

This seems to be a newly opened bar/restaurant (much more of a bar) near Notting Hill Gate station. It is situated in the basement, so there is no natural light. It is decorated in an asian style and offers chinese food, but is not really convincing in that aspect.We had a groupon voucher for 2 cocktails and a Dim Sum sharing platter, said to be worth 40 pounds. Now the cocktails were alright, but by no means special, and there was a 2-for-1 offer for them that seemed to be around all the time. The sharing platter was a joke, just 16 pieces of Dim Sum size (actually, only half were real Dim Sum) for 2 people! In the menu, this platter was actually listed for 20 pounds, but I sincerely doubt anyone would order this without being offended by this amount of food...

good food every time and great value for money

Zizzi, Notting Hill Food as usual was to a very good standard. The place wasn't very busy when we first arrived (7pm) but soon packed out. At which point we began to notice just how understaffed they were. Whilst service was a bit slow, our waiter was a top man.

Love it. We were in a course a few streets away and the waiter was really sweet, the rustic pizzas were huge and on first appearances were impossible to get through but with a bit of sharing and gorging we managed it. Very nice. Also a nice ambience especially when it started filling up.

Zizzi Bayswater is a very nice restaurant in great location close to Nottinghill Gate. Chefs are cooking just at back of restaurant so makes for a very nice experience! Food and service are exceptional, portion size is great. Price is very reasonable for all including wine! Will definitely go back.

Our meal at Zizzi in Bayswater was, as usual, very agreeable. The food was excellent, especially the Vodka Gamberi. For starters the Cichetti are ideal, and the mela crocante (apple crumble) is crunchy and delicious, with real apple instead of the usual apple gunge you get in most chain restaurants. Service was excellent, friendly and efficient.

Booked for friends of mine. The rustichella pizza is delicious. Excellent food and great menu for the children.

Zizzi - Bayswater - nice menu, friendly service and good atmosphere. I like the fact we were not rushed out of the restaurant by the staff - an enjoyable evening at a reasonable price.

Very pleasant indeed. Plenty of space, nice atmosphere, and good service. Zizzi food is pretty much the same everywhere; we like it, and hence we were there! Best dish of the night: crostini with goat's cheese and caramelised onion for starters, mmm!

Zizzi's in Bayswater serves pretty big portions especially for the al forno dishes so a good choice if you're hungry. Like the pasta choices.

Zizzi is a great spot for a fun, low-key get together with friends. Great pizza, buzzy atmosphere and the space to have your own conversation - I'll be back with friends again.

Zizzi Notting Hill was good value as ever, a few new choices on the menu since I was last there. It's a good looking chain restaurant in a convenient spot with a decent menu, great at what it sets out to do without being earth-shattering.
