Plastic wasn’t taking off n was rotten, haggis and battered sausage

Ordered off just eat, fish was very greasy, chips were disgusting, cold and hard, not cooked properly, the peas tasted like they were out of a tin and the gravy was very watery, never ordered here before and I definitely won't be again

Thought we would give this place another try after it went from 0 to 3 star rating....really wish we hadn't bothered, it was terrible!!! Will NOT be ordering again...should have known better 😒

Who ever own this place I hope you read this cause the food is RANK.

Ordered 2 kebab, with chips etc £39 Waited nearly hour to be sent out then 50 mins after food on way Freezing cold, sauce had slight skin on, chips horrible and kebab hard and cold Rang but no answer, rang next day and told “ yes but you ordered late and didn’t ring Made to ring bk for manager after 8 who left but said re order and charge £20. Declined this and now have to try catch manager! I just work here what you want Used to be amazing place

Usually order from her and it’s nice food and nice service not tonight wrong order 3 attempts to get it right then got home and wrap was raw then rang to be told it can’t be they come in cooked 100% will not be ordering again from here

Driver called to say he couldn't find my number, he had delivered to us before! After trying to give him directions for 10 minutes in which he spoke over me and couldn't hear me because of the volume of the music in his car I gave up and told him to return the food to the shop! I drove out of my estate which is less than 3 minutes away from the shop, I found him at the bottom of the estate. I took food from him and told him if it was cold I would be returning it. I called the shop and complained and was told he was new, he wasn't he had been to my address before! I took food in to the house and found it to be stone cold. I took it back and asked for the owner, when he came out I told him we had just spoken on the phone and the food was cold. He opened the box and stuck his hand under the pizza!!! He told me he would make a new one then proceeded to serve other customers coming into the shop! When I got the food and got home we ate a little bit then binned it! Paid for delivery and had to collect myself due to the incompetent driver! This shop thinks it has a monopoly due to it being the only pizza shop in Chopwell, guess what........Santonios is just a mile away, they don't deliver because its a restaurant but I will drive up there rather than give Gary's fish bar any more money! Avoid!!!!

Absolute jokers. They don't even stick to their own opening times. 4 times I've been there in their opening times and the place looks like it's been shut for hours. Had to double check their hours on their own website to make sure I hadn't got it wrong.

The last food hygiene rating score was ZERO given to Gary's Fish Bar on Thursday 25th January 2024 by the Gateshead Local Authority. Says it all really...

Waited 2.5 hours for food to be delivered and it was cold and only got a couple pound refund ...

It was well worth going there spyt not getting the free bottle of pop or a 10"garlic bread with cheese when we spent over £25 and forgetting to put the can of pop in bag didn't notce until we got home next time when we go we will check first before leaving apart from that the food was grate and tasty 😋

Ordered food took 1hour and 40 minutes to arrive. Drivers rang 25mins before finally getting our food telling us to open the door. He was at the completely wrong address. When it finally arrived I said I hope its not cold and the driver said no I just come from the shop now.???? I had to pay £5 delivery and £0.50 service for what the food to be delivered nearly 2 hours after ordering.

Super sized portions of fat and grisly slop. Just ordered a mixed kebab without donna meat and received a carton of the most disgusting chicken scraps and skin accompanied with half an onion and a handful of lettuce and cucumber. Service was spot on but that's where it ends.

Ordered curry rice and chips and only got a sliver of curry over the chips overall the food was nice just wish they could get the order right.

Second time in two weeks half my order didn't come! So it was replaced but all cold by the time it got here! Not good enough having to use my gas to re heat something that was already paid for to be cooked for me oh and this debacle was also three quarters of an hour late!

Had no problems with anything, staff are great and food is fantastic for the price. I always go there, no where better to go.

Definitely the best parmo north of the tees. Arrived on time piping hot just perfect. Got those who pretend to make parmos, look at what these guys serve up. Brilliant

Deliverys are always late and food is cold, undercooked or raw (pizzas), also delivery drivers always seem to not have any change on them everytime they come to the door, getting to be a joke now. Won't be ordering again.

Interesting customer service... Ordered a meal which includes a drink, paid and waited 10 minutes for the food - no drink, so I assumed they forgot. I asked for the drink to be told they had run out, end of conversation so I say 'so I am paying full price without a drink?' and they say yes, I can't believe that I heard right so I ask again and am told yes I still have to pay for a non existant drink!!! Needless to say I won't be ordering again

Best fish and chips I've had for a long time, delivered earlier than stated on Just eat, lovely and hot even though it was delivered over 4 miles from the chip shop, will definitely buy again, highly recommended 💜💜

If you aren't waiting ages for a collection you're waiting an extra hour for delivery, plenty staff in there and it's still a joke, also wouldn't bother getting a pizza from here it's either over cooked and burnt or under cooked and doughy, going to attempt to get a refund groom justeat but just thought I'd try and spare someone reading this the mistake of ordering from this place

Ordered twice now and both problems first time my sauces never came and they wouldn’t drop off any so had to eat dry kebab was horrible then ordered last night they forgot the kids pizza and 2 sauces came back with them then got my pizza totally wrong I asked for cheese onions and peppers and got a plain margarita then after my partner asked for bolongase and literally was the tiniest bit in it, ridiculous

Nice food ... just slow with order..

Received my order opened the bag and the garlic sauce had exploded in the bag then went all over my carpet, coffee table then a trail of it to my kitchen bin. I can say this was Rectified when I rang I got a full replacement meal. This isn't the first time this issue has happened with the garlic and there has been a few issues with missing or wrong orders and I've never complained but this time I wasn't going to let it go as it seems to be the same driver comes across arsie with a bit of an attitude he basically throws you're food at you so he can get paid faster.

I've had a kebab wrap in about 20 different countries the ones here are the biggest I've seen you could solve the world hunger problem with about 4 of them 😂

No good if u want food in a hurry waited nearly 2 half hrs 4 delivery pure joke.. only order 4 it been close,no more pure joke...there only in Chopwell they got to book there ideas up I think🤪

This is the 10th time I ordered from Garys they are normally good but I order food and it got send to the wrong door after saying the address several times, and then when I rang they said they would solve it but still didn't get my food

Avoid avoid avoid!!!! If I could give a -10 star I would, absolutely shocking service, kids waited 2 hours for delivery then when challenged they just cancelled the whole order!! No apology or anything, why Justeat have still got them on their system is beyond me!

Weve used Gary's for ages, at least monthly sometimes more often. Disappointed yet again, its far too often that they are late, today 40 mins late. So in total we waited 1 hour 40 mins. The foods alright, but tonight my kebab was cold and quite frankly a bit minging. We won't be using them anymore, its going down hill, and judging by the reviews on just eat its not just our custom they are losing.

Ordered a delivery tonight. Told an hour. After 1hr 20mins rang up and told, just leaving. Had to ring again after another 20mins.10mins later it came. Mixed wrap not cooked properly, pizza totally disgusting, donna meat awful, chips apparently weren't too bad. Worst takeaway I've ever had in my lifetime and I'm 60 odd. Hence won't be going back. 🤮

Lovely food however ordered tonight got told on the phone it will be around about a hour.. 1hour50mins later and still nothing..

Well had garys delivered last night first time wrap n chips was the size of my arm mix kebab enough for 5 one chips for 5 biggest fish this was for 3 people could of fed10 cost£24 including delivery to Ryton well its garys every Saturday brilliant value loads of food see you next Saturday x

Great food, very reasonable prices for what you get.

The 2 girls working there seemed so efficient. They seemed to have everything in order flying around getting different orders ready and I was amazed they never bumped into one another!

Calzone ordered couple of weeks ago...uncooked inside. Tonight ordered mixed kebab n garlic sauce. No sauce and mainly kebab hardly any chicken.

I can honestly say this is one of the best Chip shops I have EVER been to! Food is always fresh and piping hot and I've never had a bad meal!

Sfc burgers are beautiful. Friendly staff too
