Returned to Gareth’s after 7 years and I now know why….. STILL the worst chips I have ever tasted full of little bits no taste.Your fish was beautiful & the onion rings very good but please change your supplier of potatoes or change the oil more regular.The only reason I used your shop was I thought maybe things had improved. Sorry I will have to travel further afield if I want decent chips. I give 1star for your chips which hurts the overall experience.

Prices don't match menu small chip £3.85!!!!! Delivery charge less then 2 mins up the rd £4.40!!!!! Day light robbery. Chips must of been reheated over an over again . Won't be back sin to say.

The food we ordered today was fantastic and cooked to perfection. My hubbie who ordered and collected our food said the staff were friendly and fast so no complaints from us. We will be back of course.

all my chips came raw i would give 0 stars if i could. would not recommend

Take out chips very poor soft not cooked but never as bad as tonight

Not good at all. Ordered two portions of fish and a chip and was told it was cod? and to pay when it was ready. I sat at the window seat facing the fryers and waited. Then i observed a member of staff empty the fryer onto the top heating compartment under the lamps. I saw sausages, chicken goujons, onion rings and who knows what else with of couse my two portions of Cod? When i went to pay i was told that it was cash only!!! So off i went to get some cash and i truly wish i had never gone back. Sorry but far from good in this day and age. Strong taste of onions on the fish. Never again

Placed a order at ten past nine they told me it would be here as soon as possible very disappointed they close at 10pm now 10.10 still not here have been waiting all night also to add on how greasy the food is and is usually cold ,I’m very unpleased and will not be ordering in the future

Their fish is delightful. So light and with very little grease. We ate here twice during a stay in Portrush. Well worth the extra drive up.

Great chippy good portions with huge fish great value. there are a number of these chippys in Colerein and Portstewart,on the north coast. All are great

Recommended by a new friend and are we glad they did. Fussy eater among party, thus far NO chippy has pleased her, well that changed here. The order, on receipt, was cooked to perfection ( especially in the view of "fussy"). Will we be returning 100% and won't hesitate to recommend.

Food was cold on delivery. Delivery was late by 30mins and chips was only half cooked definitely won't be ordering from here again

We have double checked online to see if you where open and came to the place an order to find it closed. This is false advertising and not helpful with having two asd children how dont understand that things arent open

Order hadn't arrived 45mins after getting the "driver is on his way" notification. Eventually got through to them to be told driver left it at the door. Nothing at door and now noone is answering the phone. DON'T BOTHER.

Food was delicious but had to wait 40 minutes and fish supper only had a handful of chips in it!

Ordered 12" jumbo sauage with chips and gray with fried mushrooms. The 12" jumbo sausage was 3 cheap little pork sausages..... False advertising with a play on words. The fried mushrooms were off. My partner vomited when she attempted to eat them. I smelt the fried mushrooms to check and the smell was rancid and purifying. Never again. Had to get a refund on just eat. Sad sad sad....

Found a hair in my chips, would not recommend

Unbelievable fish supper. Had to cut the fish in two to get it on the plate ! Sorry no pic- was starving! First class food.

Waited 2 hours on our delivery after ordering through justeat. Rang them back again and the young girl that answered said the delivery driver had just left with it. So I asked her was he actually leaving with it or just saying he was and was assured he had just got into the car. Sitting here an hour later (3 hours from ordering), no delivery driver in sight. Ended up ordering from somewhere else. Why not just be honest and say you forgot the order instead of lying to customers about food that was never going to arrive?

Best fish and chips. Wouldnt get it anywhere else. Great delivery service 🙂

I asked for a sliced chicken supper and what i got was a chicken fillet burger in batter cut into 3 pieces. So disappointed. 😠👎

Sub standard chip shop compared to other locally. There is alway something wrong with the food, and it's not great. On the plus side they can be cheap.enough with their deals and food is usually cooked quickly.

Very good fish and chips highly recommend eating at this establishment.

Got a cod and chip at Gareth beside weather spoons it was the worst cod and chip a have ever eat chip half cooked and very greasy not be eating there Anytime shortly it all depends on the staff who’s working there on the day not good

Can't praise Gareth's enough we always get excellent food and plenty of it.

Small chippy with not good chips. Hard, felt as if they were reheated. Very greasy and hard batter on the French fried onions. Definitely will not be back.

My fella had the big boy burger and said it was the best burger ever and I had the variety box and the batter was perfect and tasty. Great wee chippy and the prices are outstanding. Wish they had Gareths in Belfast.

Chicken fillet burgers where not nice at all! They where battered like a battered fish! Awful greasey just not enjoyable. Also the guy working was very grumpy! Bad costumer service

It was reheats wasn't satisfied at all.

Ordered a burger and specifically asked for no sauce on it. Got it home to find out what they’d actually heard was “put on enough sauce to drown a rat” The chips weren’t awful.

Depends who is frying but generally good, neèd to check your order is complete, portions could be a little more generous

I was in Gareth's on Friday night. The young fella working was serving cooked food and handling raw fish. He never washed his hands once. He also held a food tray in his mouth before actually using it for the order he was preparing. None of the staff wore gloves between different jobs e.g. packing orders and cash handling. Won't be back in a hurry that's for sure.

every time I get from this chip shop (usually a Friday) the chips are burnt and batter soggy! I understand that it's busy when we go but I don't think it's acceptable to send food like that out the door with customers
