Fantastic little coffee shop, and in an ideal place in the middle of the high street, especially if you are a people watcher. Good atmosphere, good coffee and the staff are brilliant, always friendly and up for a bit of banter. My go to coffee shop.

Honestly I've not been in for probably a couple of years. Not that it needed it, but I didn't notice any significant changes to the interior. It's still what I would call 'coffee shop dim' which is fine/conducive to a good chat! I didn't buy any food this time - nothing was jumping out at me... Looking at the options below, sorry, I wasn't there thinking I was going to review it later so didn't pay loads of attention! I feel like it probably is wheelchair accessible and certainly the terraced bit outside is. In fact thinking back I'm nearly sure they've a wheelchair accessible loo too 🤔 Anyhow I think this is still 'up there' as one of the best spots to nip into for a cuppa up the town. There's enough space between tables to get a buggy in if your family's at that stage too...

Came through on a trip up to Coleraine to see friends, coffee and shop was well kept but a batista I didn't get the name of with dark red hair had didn't have the best personal hygiene and I'll leave it at that.

I stop in here frequently when I come to town. Staff always offer to carry my drinks down to my table as I have my daughter in her pram. Very kind and very much appreciated- this doesn’t happen in other coffee shops! Coffee is always excellent too :)

Pretty standard fare options for food - which are fine/average. Coffee is good though and the shop is well located. Staff could be more proactive with clearing the tables and giving them a clean. Overall, not bad.

Was served by the most horrible member of staff, young lady in twenties I’d say, black hair and tattoos. From the first point of contact her attitude was absolutely horrendous, will not be back it was that bad and a quick scan of recent reviews proves it wasn’t a one off. This member of staff shouldn’t be behind the counter. Simple as that. Just the most awful attitude, give the job to someone who wants it and is good with people.

Diabolical customer service. I doubt I'll be back in this neros which I used to frequent occasionally. The 2 female members of staff obviously don't have any customer service training other than in being facetious and down right rude. If I hadn't needed my daily neros fix I'd have told her to keep the drinks and walked out!

I ordered a takeaway vegetarian sausage roll for lunch, left the shop and got back to my office and found I had received a meat sauasge roll. I was sick after one bite. The person I ordered from did not serve me the sausage roll so another staff member overheard my order incorrectly.

Best Coffee in Coleraine. Delicious coconut latte. Staff are always very friendly. They have vegan croissants which are very tasty.

Filthy tables. Dilapidated decor. They pretend that the water tap is broken so that they can only give you coffee in paper take away cups, so that they don’t need to do washing up. Classic case of a chain coffee shop poorly managed. Pathetic effort.

When I go for a coffee and something to eat, it would be nice to remove my coat rather than keep it on to stay warm. Air con was on, everyone kept their coats on. At the cost of the food and coffee I would expect some comfort whilst dining in. Tables cleared but not cleaned.

Place quiet, 2 staff behind counter, 3 dirty tables!On using toilet, the daily cleaning sheet was ticked as checked!!floor-I don't know when it last saw a mop n bucket ,yuck.

I had the most horrible coffee this morning there was a young girl so I understand she works she was very horrible I will never go back there please people who don't know how to greet customers and send them away with a smile this is not its their job to work like that the girl is horrible she has done it to me a few times and i finally decided to write it so she knows

Cafe Nero is one of those coffee chains I really like. The coffee is a little strong for me so I always as for just one shot in my coconut latte. Cafe Nero's coconut latte is one of my favourites! Food wise, of course little for vegan people, but if they have the vegan croissant, go for it, delicious! The staff are very nice indeed. They are so jolly and friendly.

We like cafe Nero despite almost always having to clear and clean the table before we can use it. Aircon always too cold. Very pleasant and friendly staff.

After a long ass day at Uni, had top tier service from Isaac (assistant manager). Had a few laughs and a quality conversation. Chai Latte was also excellent 👌 Salute to you for today sir!🫡 Spirits were lifted💪

I like Cafe Nero coffee but the Portstewart one is the least clean one I have ever been to... .

Arrived at a busy time, served quickly, politely and with a friendly smile by Carly. My son was struggling with “Cafe Nero “ app once again Carly to the rescue. Excellent customer service will definitely be returning and recommending.

I'm quite a fan of the Sassy Barista ;) and I do enjoy are chats bout Lord of the Rings and many other fine fantasy and speculative fiction titles. And chatting in general with all the staff

Very dirty with tables left uncleaned and no evidence of sanitising. Roll and spray left at the door presumably to clean your own table. An air of uncleanliness about the place and staff totally disinterested

Love this place. Often meet my sister here when over from Englsnd. Love sitting outside watching the world go by. Staff always cheerful and hospitable. Very good toilet facility too.

I was in colraine this morning 12th july and got coffee. Issac served me coffee and he was very helpful whe i asked him and what he had on the menu.

Amazing staff who are always so so friendly. It can be super busy, but that's because it's a good place to grab a snack or a tea and just sit and relax

Very pleasant staff easy to talk too. Drinks are well presented very pleasant to the palate. Regular customer. Cannot sit in but will be soon. Clean efficient and comfortable. Easy access as in town. Would recommend anyone to try it.

Due to Nero being a chain of cafes, the service and coffee can vary depending on location. We visited Nero in Coleraine this afternoon (31st December 2020). We were served by a young man who was super friendly and helpful - excellent customer service! The coffees were also lovely.

My cappuccino good. But wife's peppermint tea had a burst teabag so undrinkable.

Went in recently, told to wear muzzle while waiting for coffee, only to be told then I have to pay with card.Last time I checked, Cash is still legal tender. Went to another place where I was treated like a human being. Will not return. Disgraceful !

Pleasant staff and coffee of the usual standards for Nero. However in these days of Covid the hygiene was completely unacceptable. The tables in general were dirty with no cleansing between customers and during most of the time I was on the premises the two tables beside me went uncleared. The debris on these tables included used facemasks and discarded chewed gum. Obviously there's blame on the clientele for what they left behind but it should have been disposed of immediately. In addition even after clearing these tables they were not cleansed in any form.

Visited Caffè Nero’s Church St Coleraine today. It was our first coffee out since lock down and it will certainly be our last. My husband ordered 2 coffee and a ham and cheese croissant. We sanitised our hands on entry and I went in search of a table though we had a choice as there were not many customers in. Though it proved difficult getting one that wasn’t dirty and full of crumbs and the remnants of the previous customer snack. I went to get the sanitizer where the napkins sit to put some on a few napkins to clean the table but the sanitizer at that station was empty ! So I used the one at the door. The croissant was flattened, soggy and disgusting it no longer resembled a croissant. Whilst waiting for the rain to clear We observed some very disturbing behaviours from the only person that was working. He was using the till , preparing the food for heating or just plating up, or making the coffee. Whilst doing all this he was rubbing his nose with this fingers as though it was itchy or whatever! He was scratching his head! He was holding his neck with both hands! At no time did we observe him sanitizing or washing his hands he was also not wearing gloves despite handling food. In between serving customers he was busy on his phone again without washing his hands when he served the next customer. Needless to say after observing all this our coffees and croissants went into the bin ( coffee was disgusting anyway) I used the toilets and even though this was before 11am the toilet was filthy the hand dryer had a filthy scum on the bottom of it and it was full of hairs. These premises should be closed with immediate effect when there is no evidence of basic hygiene standards in normal time never mind with the Covid situation. Whilst there was only one member of staff he did have time to wipe down tables between customers however he chose to use this time to get busy on his phone. The tables were being used over and over without ever being cleaned down. This is very worrying considering the current situation. If the owner or manager requires confirmation of all that I have written he can check his CCTV which is above the food prep area between 10.45 ish to 11.10ish.

being spoiled with coffee in coleraine i believe this is the best coffee i could find in town. Service is excellent, roast is very tastefully, clean cafe, free WiFi and nice atmosphere. Definitely 5/5 stars.

Called in for a coffee and a bite to eat. Ordered toasted cheese sandwiches and were initially forgot about. Staff realised eventually and provided freshly cooked sandwiches,fresh coffee,cards for free coffee for the future. I was initially disappointed but the young staff member made up for the mistake and we left feeling ok.

Glad to see someone else finds this place too cold. I meet colleagues here during the week for a chat and coffee and it is too cold to sit in. Coffee goes cold really fast and I got a sore neck after being there for 30 minutes as the cold air was blowing around my neck. Nice coffee shop otherwise (sofas are done!) and dead on staff, but just too damn cold to sit in. Knock the air conditioner unit off for the winter lads, no one wants -5deg of cold air blowing in their face. Save your electricity or use it to heat the place! Ricky

We visit this place regularly but are now planning to stop coming. The aircon is allows on full making for an unpleasant experience with icy air blowing around you. Cups are also dirty/stained and with only a single loo to service all cafe customers it means you have to queue. The ice cold cafe is just terrible. We have asked in the past for the aircon to be switched off and it goes off for 5 mins then back in full. Staff are pleasant and coffee is nice but can't take the refrigerator temperatures any more.

Staff excellent so friendly and food is always great. When down in caravan we visit frequently. One down side is tea comes in a mug would be great to get a tea pot the same as their stores I Scotland but will not stop me returning.

Hit and miss coffee shop. Sometimes the food is nice and fresh, at other times it leaves a lot to be desired. This particular venue is in need of a refresh, it's a bit worn and dated. Good location for people watching as much as can be done in Coleraine.

Love Nero. Nero is my hero! Coffee is second to none. Also constantly stock sugar free syrups and skimmed milk making your coffee treat that little bit more guilt free but still ever so tasty!
