A very good chip shop well worth a visit if you are peckish you wouldn't be disappointed especially the chips they are to die for.

The food was ok. I had to wait maybe 30 minutes just for some chips & sausages, but they were busy so unavoidable. The decor and the place in general seems dated and not particularly clean looking. I won't go into further details but suffice to say I was not impressed. It's easy for me to conclude that I'll never get anything from there again!

Food was stone cold it’s a 5 minute drive from my house surely it wasn’t made fresh

Chicken nuggets were cheap rubbish and even looked unappealing before biting in to them. Even the kids would not eat them. 4 goujons in a portion for £6.30 didn’t seem correct. The fish was lovely, Unfortunately the chips were not cooked properly.

We were up for the NW200, expected to wait, didn't expect the best fish supper in a long time. Buddy said the same with a cheeseburger & chips.

Three missing items from the order

Worst pastie ever! Iceland special! Disgrace that they would even sell this! To make matters worse, not even 1 chip was put in with it. Miserable as sin. Also can't understand why it took so long to make them given they're evidently frozen Iceland pasties thrown into a fryer? So not worth the wait! Furthermore, they don't sell water?

Called in for the first time tonight, wasn’t sure with the menu so my dad and I were deciding when the young guy behind the till was clearly getting impatient with us making our decision. Decision made and we stood aside and waited. Forgot to say for extra salt and vinegar on my order and said to the nice girl now behind the till. The young guy then said to her what my problem was, she said just extra S&V for one pastie. My dad then asked did they have tomato sachets which they did not but the girl said no problem I can add some on your pastie for you, to which the young guy then actually huffed like a 5 year old would, pulled the paper of the pastie and took it down the back of Chippy. I said to the girl if it’s that big a problem just to leave it to which she replied he is just having a long day don’t worry about him. But I did and his attitude is more sorted to work in dark room with no people. Chips and pastie were ok, but obviously ruined by the lack of happiness he provided. Won’t be back and didn’t even know what the pastie was made off.. needs retrained

Went in today got fish supper and a portion of fish goujons. Absolutely 5* food fish was first class the best fish I have had in a long long time. Highly recommend

Extremely dissapointed, order was wrong. Paid roughly £11. To go home and find the order was wrong. Return back to the chippy, they do not offer to remake the whole order, just specific items. They stuck the food that was correct under a heat lamp. I told them to leave it and left. No offer of a refund. Left annoied and down £12.

I get from here regularly but unfortunately the chicken nuggets were disappointing, 1 bite and the rest were binned. It wasn’t good. I also ordered curry chip, they were just ok but think because I was hungry I ate more than I would’ve. Disappointed this time unfortunately.

Food was Nice Cod supper was rather small for the price you pay other shops get a fish & a half ...not in this shop .. The Large Chip again is very small , Mushy peas are NOT mushy (( Garden peas )) ... Over all it was ok (( JUST VERY SMALL ON PORTION SIZES )) ... Not the best idea to share ... But food tasted nice just wish there was more of it ...

1 hour and 50 mins to get our delivery when it was suppose to be 45 mins. Food was cold. Would have been lovely if on time and warm. £3 off because of delivery lateness ... doesn't even cover the delivery fee of £3.50. Very disappointing. Won't be rushing back

Visited this establishment this evening. Looked at the (very expensive!) menu and opted for a spicy chicken fillet burger. It was £5-10 for a plain one, which I thought was *really* expensive, but I thought "let's go with it - it's bound to be impressive at that cost." I couldn't have been more wrong. Received a frozen burger which was extremely 'thin' in size and worth no more than maybe 3 quid...and that's being generous to them. £5-10 is an absolute disgrace!!! On the plus side, service was very pleasant from the young girl at the till, and the chips looked good from afar. Anyway, I'll not be back, I'm afraid. Other items were severely overpriced, too; for example: £9-30 for chicken goujons, chips and a dip. Hectic!!! If you're wanting a good (awesome!!!*) chicken fillet burger, take a 20 minute drive to Steelyard Cafe near Ballymoney...theirs are 100 times' better than the disgraceful product I was given this evening. Very disappointing indeed!

Never had chips, peas & gravy when the peas were garden peas.

We had chicken goujons, battered sausage, cod strips and chips... loads of high quality food and excellent service. A traditional chippy of thr highest standard.

Wasnt overly impressed with our order this time. Normally we cannot fault Prom Chippy but this time the sauce had exploded all over the wrapping and the food wasn't as good as previous orders. Disappointed

It would be good to have an option for saying nothing. What i mean... Burger plain On just eat u can't go to checkout without picking a option for burger meal deal salad We had to pick bacon only to confirmed the burger plain which costs us another £0.50 extra toppie

Delivered on time 2 spicy chicken fillet burger meals burgers where nice as usual but chips very poor this time very small and hard chips not up to usual standard.still a good chippy though and first time I've had chips like this from here normally very good

We are local people who use this chippy alot. on Friday 27th August at approx 530pm we ordered chicken Gordon's chips and a drink. Unfortunately it was like a kiddies portion. The chips were like the last of the basket no proper eating in them and the goujons were dripping in grease. Which are usually beautiful best around. We had to bin everything. We hope that this is just a one off as we would still like it to remain our favourite chippy Please accept this as constructive critiscism as if you are not aware of the problem or staff members on duty you cannot fix the problem

Unfortunately I have to echo some of the previous reviews the chips were pretty dreadful, hard and dry tasted old even my boys didn't like them. Suggest maybe a change in potatoes, possibly the way the chipped potatoes are stored, v disappointed for a chippie located in the heart of Portstewart with all the amazing produce available.😢

I’ have videos and pictures of the food …so you seen onion rings being packed did you taste them they were awful and you could of knocked someone out with the chicken burger along with chips that were Rock hard I’ll be happy to post the pics and videos of the food and you can see for yourself you wouldn’t of fed it to a dog 15 pound for a drink and 2 dips the lot of it went in the bin no one could of ate it and by the by the way customer is always right bad bad customer service !!!!!

Usually nice food but I ordered tonight food was here within a half hour but chips obviously were redone as they were rock hard so was the chicken burger and the onions rings tasted like grease the taste of it all was disgusting may need oil changed because the whole order apart from the dips was rotten

The food was delicious but the experience with the supervisor Kiera left 'a bad taste'. Had a very unnecessary unpleasant encounter. I purchased 3 cheesy curry chips for my children and walked to the far end of the promenade to discovered no forks had been included. I walked back and asked if I could get a few forks. I was told they didn't have any left. I asked "What are the children to eat with?" A younger member of staff apologised and then a "So-called" Supervisor interjected and said "It's not our problem! "She said "it was my problem and to write a review". Was taken aback by such unprofessional rudeness.

2nd time ordered here… in process of refund.., food ok but expensive… stated 50-65 min delivery took near 2 hours… don’t recommend….

Ordered scampi & chips. Gorgeous & good piping hot.

Food was lovely but forgot the tartare sauce for the 2 portions of scampi.

Lovely hawaiian burger but the chips in the curry chip were hard and not fully cooked...

As always the burger and chips were excellent. Sadly the fish was not. The actual fish was perfectly cooked but the batter was so full of oil it had leached through the paper wrapping and was inedible. Not the light crispy batter you usually serve.

Order was cod goujons, chips, cheese & beans & a curry sauce. All cooked to perfection. All hot on arrival. Highly recommend.

Food was around an hour later than they initially said it would be. However, they included an extra drink in the order for free as a result and the delivery man was very apologetic and polite. Food was very good and would recommend. Apart from service time all in all a good experience.

This local run chippy is very popular with "locals" and that tells you a lot!... Hygiene is great and the staff are ever courteous...If you are in Portstewart on holiday or a day out give this chippy a try...You will not be disappointed...👍

Chicken burger was moist, tender and had a beautiful flavour. Fish perfectly cooked as always but some bones were left in and batter wasn't up to usual standards. Very greasy and not cooked all the way through in places. Chips perfect. Still 5* though.

Slow service but good food. Taking the time into account, I must say it was very well worth the wait. Will certainly call again. Very pleasant staff which goes a very long way.
