Has a good range of gifts to offer. I wish the name would change as no tea room for now 2 years. It is a shame but I am sure it will be back sometime in the future.

Disappointing as were led to believe the cream teas here were good. Found it had closed permanently. Shame these places don't update their google page as it said it was open

Have visited 3 times during our holiday, and plan to go again before we leave. Had an excellent breakfast-well cooked and quickly delivered. Very nice Latte. Went again for lunch and also an afternoon coffee and scones. Everything was delicious and fresh. Staff were lovely. A great place in the centre of Combe Martin!

Lovely little cafe down near the beach with outside balcony, ideal for the warm weather. The Fish Goujons in a baguette was very good but the open bagel came as half a bagel. Felt a bit short changed here.

We arrived a party of 9 made up of two families looking for a cooked breakfast. We were seated after 5 mins wait and just as we looked up to see when our order would be taken someone arrived to take it. The children were served their breakfast within 10 minutes then the adults shortly after. The food and coffee was all delicious and the children’s breakfasts were polished off too. Highly recommended and the lunch menu looked lovely too. Sadly didn’t get to go again before heading home. Fabulous - thank you very much!!

Combe Martin is geared up just for tourists which makes it the ideal holiday resort. The Galleon is perfect for tourists and it serves lovely breakfasts and coffee. Only open for summer every year this place doesn't have top chefs nor outstanding food, but it suits the majority of visitors to Combe Martin. There is a nice shop downstairs, a little balcony overlooking the street and a comfy restaurant inside with a nice décor. The toilets are good too.

Had an English breakfast twice here over the week both times very good. Dog friendly as well with friendly service and nice terrace

Visited for a late lunch and some drinks, amazing staff all incredibly friendly and vegan options too! Drinks are amazing. Nothing to complain about!

The food was your standard well-cooked British cafe style menu (filling and tasty - we had ploughman's and full b/fasts), and the staff were knowledgeable about allergies and intolerances. The real gem of this cafe, though, is the staff! Felt like we were chatting with old friends, with all 3 staff members that we came into contact with. They take pride in working there, as they should, and could lift any mood! We loved it so much, we went back for breakfast the next day. Special shout out to the wonderful lady with the very long blonde hair - she's the best!

We called here on our way home from a weekend camping trip. The Galleon looked a lovely place as it had an upstairs outdoor terrace. We had a place by the railing overlooking the high street with a sea view. My partner and I both ordered a full English which comes with toast. The food was all fantastic and well priced. My only suggestion would be that the toast comes on a side plate instead of being part of main plate, as it comes unbuttered. Service was efficient and friendly and the prices were reasonable.

We have returned To Combe Martin Many Times and we always stop into the galleon to get a Devon Cream tea. Two Huge scones, jam and clotted cream to make the perfect cream tea. Staff are friendly and inviting and there are toilet facilities available.

Lovely tea room in the middle of Combe Martin; had a nice cup of tea on the terrace looking up to the hills, and the GF brownie was delicious! Staff are very friendly too.

Myself and my partner came here for two lovely hot drinks and sat outside. It was lovely sitting outside and the staff were very friendly and polite! Would come back again for sure! :)

Little gem of a tearoom! Loved sitting out on the balcony looking out over the harbour. Delicious food, especially the Devon cheese tea. Friendly staff. All covid secure. Would definitely recommend eating here, And the gift shop downstairs is great too!!!

We have enjoyed lunch at the Galleon three times this week, always so deservedly so busy that we have had to sit inside rather than on the outside terrace, always very quick and pleasant service, with a good choice of tasty items and all well...

First, Covid. Good one way system in. Sanitiser on entry and tables were being thoroughly cleaned. Our waitress wore an attractive face mask, whereas other staff didn't but she was the only one directly interacting with customers. So very good. We had tea for 2....

Lovely little tea room, friendly staff, tasty food, we had the best cream tea this visit there. This is an upstairs venue, they have done well with the COVID restrictions, the little balcony is very nice to sit out on and the tables have parasols...

We have been visiting this cafe for the last three years and still keep coming back for more! Three days Veggie breakfasts in a row, on our holiday this July (twice in one day, as the cream teas are Sooo good). These guys were so kind and helpful in accommodating our group. We were in Combe Martin for the first weekend that cafes and shops opened up after lockdown and they guys had it all under control. They're really friendly, lovely people - and they serve the best veggie breakfasts (and gorgeous cream teas)...Pay them a visit. We must support these gems in our hospitality industry. Enjoy!

Popped into the Galleon cafe for Breakfast today. Full English and coffee served on a terrace overlooking the high street. All served by a friendly team and observing covid precautions.Food and coffee delicious, reasonably priced and dog friendly. We visited here for lunch whilst on holiday and reviewed the best service anyone could expect. The waitress was helpful and friendly and there were plenty of covid precautions in place. The food was very good and the prices were very reasonable. I will definately be back if we visit Combe Martin again.

I stopped here for a quick beer - outside verander overlooking the street and sea view. The service was impeccable. Lovely view. I didn't sample any food but it looked lovely. This is the best spot in Combe Martin for a chilled outside bottled beer.

Rated as not bad; obviously well-run and efficient. Perfectly decent food and service. Also friendly. Gift shop downstairs. Bit pricey for an average Cafe but this place is on the now up-market tourist strip near the sea. The obvious downside for locals is they all have to pay inflated tourist prices.

Friendly helpful service, well organised (post lockdown) and clean with seating inside and out and a toilet. Scrumptious cheese scone served with pickle and cheese and the classic warm sweet scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam a good size and flavour. £5.50 for a cream tea including 2 scones of a good size for one per person. Good range of lunch menu and other drinks.

Had a lovely lunch with my daughter in law. The staff are taking sensible precautions re covid, but manage to keep a friendly atmosphere. We sat on the balcony in the sunshine enjoying a very pleasant lunch and a glass of wine. The prices were reasonable and it had a great holiday vibe!

We have just come back from a long weekend away in the beautiful Combe Martin. Post lockdown we were not sure what would or wouldn't be open. We are so used to the relaxed feel and strolling down the town for our breakfast in the morning. Unsure we contacted the Galleon Cafe to see if they were open and could accommodate a large group (3 families of 4) on the Saturday and Sunday for breakfast. From the start they were brilliant and said they would open early for us, we pre-ordered our food and got to the cafe at 9am to be greeted by the lovely friendly staff. The cafe was clean and the staff had all the right measures in place for those who may feel nervous regarding the Covid 19 situation. The food and drinks were delicious and nothing was too much trouble, even fussy kids changing their minds on what they had ordered. Highly recommend the Veggi Breakfast, they also have gluten free bread whoop!!We cant wait to return next year.

We were delighted to find this beautiful little tea room in combe Martin Close to the beach. We had a lovely lunch on the terrace and felt completely safe with the covid systems in place and explained to us by the lovely waitress!!Would highly recommend! We will be back next year .Thankyou

Been here several times during our holiday, and its been lovely each time. Staff are super friendly, they are taking the covid precautions seriously which is good to see. The food is reasonably priced and very tasty, especially the home made scones.

Today I needed to find some late birthday presents for my daughter and so I went to the gift shop. The staff were very helpful and I found exactly what i needed. It opened for the first time today and I'm so glad it did. I highly recommend the shop.

We popped in to buy some gifts and was pleasantly surprised to find a lovely cafe upstairs too. The owners were wonderful, very friendly and even recommended seeing 'Verity' when we explained we were travelling to Ilfracombe the next day. Food and service was spot on and had a very pretty terrace over looking the sea

We found this lovely little cafe earlier this year, and have been back numerous times. The food is absolutely amazing from the breakfast to the lunch. There is something on the menu to suits most tastes and the staff are so friendly, it’s like home from home. Believe me, you will not be disappointed if you call in to eat.

We stumbled across this lovely tea rooms last week when we visited Coombe Martin. We had a lovely lunch, I had an amazing macaroni cheese, which was delicious. The chicken wings and wedges were also very nice. I would definitely go back if I was in Coombe Martin again.

I had reviewed places for cream teas and this was highly rated so as we were staying in Combe Martin we popped in Saturday afternoon after a morning on the beach. We opted to eat on the terrace outside as the sun was shining. The waitress told us she would be with us as soon as possible but that there were 3 tables ahead of us - we were happy to wait. My daughter and I both ordered the cream tea and it didnt disappoint! Lashings of clotted cream and jam and the scones themselves were delicious. Total for two cream teas and two soft drinks was around £14 which I thought was good value. Access is via the main street and is upstairs, you can eat outside or inside. Friendly and helpful waitress. Heavens opened just as we had finished thankfully!

We enjoyed a cream tea here this afternoon. The scones were delicious, although I would have preferred a fruit one. The carrot cake was amazing too. There wasn’t really enough tea, but tasty all the same. Friendly staff.

We had a cream tea and the goats cheese tart, both good. The scones were light and fluffy; my preference would have been for a fruit scone rather than just plain.

Amazing Devonshire cream tea today at the Galleon tea rooms, the scones were fresh and served warm with a generous helping of jam and oh so delicious Devonshire clotted cream with the offer of more if we needed it (we didn't) beautiful view of the sea from the terrace so this place has it all and ticks all the boxes for me when I want a great cream tea

We took our three dogs up to the sun terrace for breakfast after five hours in the car for some breakfast, everything was absolutely superb, from the food to the staff. Excellent.

We returned ten months on and were not disappointed, consistently good. Very friendly staff and the scones were warm soft and fluffy. So good :)

Popped in for cream teas, absolutely scrummy, 2 very large warm scones jam cream and a choice of drink. My sister had the cheese scones. So good we ordered some to pick up the following day to take home with us. If you visit combs Martin you have to pop in here

Very generous portions, and scummy Tea for 2 (the kids loved their milk shakes too!) The staff were friendly, I would definitely recommend a visit.

It’s lovely to find a cafe which will accept dogs inside and out. When so many people seem to holiday here with their dogs it’s rare to find cafes for lunch which will allow dogs inside, which isn’t ideal when the weather isn’t great! The galleon does and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here. It was extremely busy but our food was served quickly and was delicious. I had the macaroni cheese and it was really nice and really cheesy!

We popped in following a steep walk along the coast path and thoroughly enjoyed the cooked breakfast. Such amazing value and a sunny terrace with attentive service, We felt as though we were on holiday so definitely worth a visit .

Popped in for cream tea but after browsing menu and smelling hot food we decided to tuck in to ham egg and chips.

We stumbled upon the terrace as we were looking around. We were greeted by lovely staff who were very friendly and supported our decision to have brunch on the terrace (despite the weather being a tad nippy).

Looks a nice place and a balcony overlooks the street. There is a seaside Gift Shop downstairs and a side entrance with steps up to the Cafe. It was closed again.

After reading the reviews we decided to call in for coffee and revisited for lunch while staying in the area. The latte didn't really taste like a latte made from scratch more like something made from a packet with very little coffee taste. The lunch menu wasn't very extensive but reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and service was quick.

After a walk around Coombe Martin we stopped here for a snack, we ended up sharing a cream tea, so delicious! A really nice tea room with a great roof terrace and beautiful views when the sun was shining. Nice friendly service too.

First visit to Galleon Tea Room, was very nice. Liked the décor and the tea and cake was very nice. We visited on a Monday out of season so it was quiet but that did not spoilt our enjoyment. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone

We stopped off here for a quick bite to eat, staff were very welcoming and we was seated quickly. We had our 11 m/o son with us which they were very accommodating. We all ordered something different and it was all fresh and delicious!! Highly recommended.

We held our wedding reception here in September. Everything was absolutely perfect. The room looked beautiful and the food was delicious. Martyn, Jackie, Jenny and their team were brilliant and responded to every request. If you are looking for a venue for a small celebration (we had 37 people) then this is the place. Nothing was too much trouble and we feel we it was great value for money.

We stayed in Coombe Martin and ate here a few times. On a sunny day the view from the roof terrace is lovely. The cream teas are gorgeous! Great selection of food and very reasonably priced. Very friendly staff would reccomend!

There are two excellent, hardworking Cafes in Combe Martin, and this is one of them. The Galleon Tea Room on Borough Road is a traditional British seaside no frills kind of place. Unpretentious and a great place to have a cooked breakfast till midday. The Galleon girls are friendly, and we had a great view from the balcony. For well under £7 each, we can't complain; all we wanted was a good breakfast in a traditional British seaside Tea Room, for a reasonable price. Ticked all the boxes. Thankyou.

We visited the Galleon Tea Room twice whilst on holiday. We have delicious afternoon cakes sitting outside on the terrace. We also had a lovely breakfast there before travelling home. The staff were friendly and the price of the food was reasonable.

Would highly recommend this establishment. Children's meals were perfect for two fussy eaters. Brie and Mango sandwich in a baguette were absolutely delicious and the two cream teas were good, with the offer of more cream and jam if we needed it. Two scones was a bit much though, may be offer one or two when taking the order - just a thought, even so still managed to polish off the lot.

Visited for breakfast on the last day of our holiday. So impressed that we popped back for a late lunch before heading home. Great food, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. The gift shop below is well worth a wander around too. Will definitely be back next summer!

Went there twice last week. Once for cream tea which was excellent value with as much cream and jam as we wanted at a very good price. The second time was the day we left for home. We had a very enjoyable breakfast there. Very good service and dogs are very welcome. They gave our dog a treat both times
