Gala Riverboat Restaurant in Glasgow City

Fantastic place for a night out. Staff are always friendly and accommodation. You will never be bored there is always somthing to do from the tables to slots and bar and restaurant with excellent food an service. Its also good because its open late for all those waiting for a train home defo worth the visit.

Hace poco visitamos el restaurante para un cumpleaños, la comida era de primera clase y cocinada a la perfección, el servicio era realmente bueno con un personal amable, todos teníamos bistecs y todos estuvimos de acuerdo en que la comida y el ambiente del casino eran excelentes. una muy buena noche afuera.

Cenamos aquí con la familia el gran trato de las 5 pm, 2 platos y una copa de champán y 10 apuestas. El personal era amable y eficiente, la comida era buena, aunque las opciones limitadas. Sin duda volveremos en el futuro

Decidió ir al restaurante Riverboat para una comida. Hizo la reserva en línea, que fue muy fácil. Al llegar, nos llevaron a nuestra mesa y nos ofrecieron una bebida. Al mirar el menú, había algo para todos los gustos. Decidimos renunciar a los entrantes y elegimos dos platos pequeños para compartir en su lugar: pollo y hierbas con hummus y pollo satay. Ambos fueron encantadores. Mi marido eligió un bistec para su principal y tuve el bacalao cerveza maltratada. Ambos fueron acompañados con papas y vegetales flacos. El bistec de mi marido estaba muy bien preparado y la pasta en mi bacalao tenía un toque de cerveza, que era encantador. La única parte decepcionante de la comida fue el chocolate roulade, que era muy difícil. Los gofres eran encantadores. Las porciones de los tres platos no eran excesivamente grandes, era perfecto y dejamos platos limpios. Ambos tomamos refrescos con nuestra comida, que no se cobraban, al igual que todos los refrescos en el casino. Todo por menos de 40 años. El personal era muy educado, cortés y atento. One of our colleagues is a casino member and recommended this place. It was very good indeed. We were seated quickly and the staff arranged the tables so we could sit together. Good selection on the menu. Quick efficient service. The food was excellent. I will definitely visit again.

I came here for a few drinks just to relax and have a flutter... Enjoyed a few cocktails, but my favourite drink had to be peach ciroc with the fentimans pink lemonade, wasn't feeling anymore cocktails so this was recommended, Kinda pricy but you get what you pay for, it was yummy!

Went to the restaurant for steak. We were told that most of the food on the menu was unavailable after being seated and brought drinks. Very disappointed.

Mi novio y yo normalmente visitar el casino de Alea en el Quay, pero en la víspera de Año Nuevo decidimos ir a Riverboat como escuchamos que tienen buena comida y entretenimiento. Los juegos de mesa no había abierto aunque era después de las 6 de la tarde, así que subimos a la hora de la cena. Sólo había una pareja que nos pareció que era bueno como debería ser rápido y buen servicio. El camarero nos saludó diciendo "sentarse a donde quieras, pero luego desaparecieron por 15 minutos antes de tomar nuestro pedido (corrió lejos y no nos ofrecen bebidas). Las comidas llegamos alrededor de 20 minutos más tarde y los aperitivos estaban podridas y sabía como sopa enlatada. La carne estaba bien, pero no tan bueno como esperábamos.Nos ofrecieron desaprovechado ninguna disculpa y en su lugar 25 libras en un hotelucho comida normal (sin bebidas).Mi novio y luego fuimos a los baños antes de que nos fuéramos y me dijo que lo repugnante las paredes de cubículo, Mound enorme esquís como se indica en la foto. Como un microbiólogo esto me llevaría días/semanas para crecer en un laboratorio ... así que cuánto tiempo tienen sus aseos ido apareces me pregunto? Me atrevo antihigiénicos la cocina puede ser! Not the usual place that I would choose to go for a meal but was looking for something different. Was slightly disappointed with the menu in restaurant but that's my personal opinion. Decided on steak and so glad I did, it was cooked to perfection. They obviously use good quality meat as it was so tender and delicious, I will definitely return.

Went here for a Drifters tribute night back in March and have to say I wasn't disappointed. The staff at the Riverboat were exceptional in making my party welcome. They went out of their way to accommodate every customer and we're a credit to Grosvenor Casinos high standards. The food was exceptionally good, the service prompt and efficient and always served with a smile. Although this was their first attempt at this kind of evening, you have to bear in mind that the hall is not designed for this kind of entertainment due to chandeliers and posts blocking the view to the stage. Don't let this detract you as it was great just listening to the music. Great night. I have to add that the support act was really good and did an extra set after the main event. We used a tastecard which was 2 for 1. But they have a set menu which is only £10 for 2 courses which is great value anyway. Steak was cooked very well. Would visit again.

The food was actually decent but need more evening staff. The staff moved us from table to table as no staff in this section or that section. It has the potential to be very good. I appreciate it was late but then this is a casino.

Kind, caring, courteous and happy staff. Simply a class establishment from start to finish. Highly recommended.

We came here for a quiet dinner at the end of our festive break. Set menu was only £9.95 for 2 courses but the food was excellent and service attentive. Bob from River City entertained us on the piano with some excellent tunes. We will be back!

We ate here on a Saturday evening during the Games. The entertainment by Mr Uri was great, but the service and food was dire. After being asked to open the wine ourselves we should have known better. The food was very delayed and over cooked. Not good. Thank goodness for the entertainment and the wine.

We recently visited the restaurant at the casino and was so disappointed after the reviews we had read. It was during the week and not very busy.We had a lovely table overlooking the river and the staff were lovely.The food....... so bland and so, to use the word again, disappointing!The chargrilled bbq chicken was never near a chargrill and tasted ....tasteless! The pasta was mushy. Deep fried onion rings and calamari were so greasy they were not nice to eat. I wanted to like this restaurant as the atmosphere was nice and staff so friendly but please sort out the food!

this is normally my go to resturant when i am glasgow city however tonight i was disappointed! we waited an hour and a half for starters and then another half hour for mains! my fiances steak was supposed to be medium but was some raw bits on steak! i understand the kitchen must have been under pressure because there was so many big tables in but they should be prepared! this experience may put me off going back and is such a shame because was such a family favourite!

I had dinner here with my husband on a Saturday in early January, getting a good deal through 5pm.com, 2 courses for 2 for £22. The dining room looks lovely with views onto the river, but was really quiet, probably because we ate fairly early and it was the first weekend after the festive period. Service was attentive and quick, and overall the food was good, although the deserts seemed bought in and weren't quite up to the same high standard as the starters and mains. The value was excellent and we also had some lovely wine. Just as we finished our meal live piano music started, provided courtesy of Big Bob of River City fame. He played a good mix of music and was very entertaining.After dinner we hit the roulette tables (first timers) and after watching the other players had a go ourselves. We won a few quid and had a few drinks. A fun way to try something different in Glasgow

Booked the restaurant for my mother in laws birthday.She was here on her last birthday and at Xmas ,so she has been at 91,91 1/2 and 92 ?She likes the service ,the food ,the atmosphere and the treatment from the staff.The food on all occasions has been great.The Aberdeen Angus Braised Steak melts in your mouth.I have read a few unfavourable reviews and wonder if they visited the same place?Let's be honest,the Ritz it's not,it is a Casino with a good restaurant.If anyone wants a decent meal at a decent price ,with good service then I would recommend they visit The Louisiana Restaurant at The Riverboat Casino.

We were staying in Glasgow over the weekend and booked the riverboat to have dinner in.Being early January,the Restaurant was very quiet, however one young gentleman appeared to have responsibility for serving at the bar, taking the orders,and bringing out the food as well as customers paying their bill to him,so service was a bit so so,but no fault of the young waiter.The Menu was none to exciting, however the food was hot and tasty,and for the £13 per person we paid, for a starter and main course,we were certainly not overcharged.The surroundings were comfortable,and the added bonus of being able to "win/loose" a few £'s in the same building added to the night..Overall not an unplesant evening,and would certainly go back at a later date..Thank you for looking after us..Alistair...

We where in the Riverboat Casino Restaurant in Thursday, and we have dinner in the restaurant, that now have a new look, much better than before, they have a menu call the waterfront menu is available Sunday to Thursday all evening from 17.00 till 03.00 and Friday and Saturday from 17.00 till 19.00 and after from 00.00 till 03.00 two course dinner is £9.95 and three course dinner is £12.50 I have to say that I was impress, the service was friendly and good, the food was great, some times this deals are no to good look good in the menu, but not in the plate, this deal look better in the plate, I have have the breaded mushrooms with garlic mayonnaise , amazing and my friends the 9oz rib eye steak, I was told that the meat was Scottish and mature from 28 days, with the chips and the pepper sauce was amazing good value for money, my friend have the deep fry calamari, very good and for main course the topped chicken con bacon and barbecue sauce chips an green beans again goodddddddddd, we never try the dessert, because we where full, but if you prefer you can have a main and dessert, for £9.95, we will do that next time, definitely we will be back, that menu is very good news, I whist to the team of the Riverboat Casino all the best they are going in the right direction, great experience, even in the gaming floor we wing £20 what else can I say, I will be back soon, I can not wait till next time, I love a bargain, don't we everybody do?

Menu has changed since last visit. Steak, steak and more steak. Poor choice of 4 starters. Salmon came with a baked potato and green beans, no sauce and was hardly worth the £12.95 charged. Fish, chips and mushy peas were fine. Ordered 2 side portions of onion rings which we returned as burnt and inedible. Poor choice of 3 sweets. Will not return until menu is changed.
