I always make a stop here if I’m in the area. Superb selection and wonderful staff great prices. For the meat lovers out there get yourself a besto.

Had such a great evening at a recent cheese and wine night at the deli. Superb value for money, really well-thought out pairings and a great atmosphere. Jack, Jay and Ruby were excellent hosts - can't recommend enough!

Good coffee, nice space & great toasties! The girls that served us were all very helpful and pleasant, I’ll drop in if nearby again for sure!

Great place to buy high quality produce and a really good wine collection on sale. Staff are all really knowledgeable and friendly. Their monthly wine and cheese night is great too!

Really incredible! We came here for the Valentines Wine & Cheese night for our anniversary and honestly the staff were amazing, the singer Mali was beautiful, and everything in between I can’t rate higher. I go here most Saturdays to get bagels and a coffee, and it is incredible every single time!

Stumbled in here as new to the area, liked the look and very friendly staff. However, me and my dad shared the BBQ chicken ciabatta, both now suffering with major stomach cramps and throwing up, just 2 hours later. Update: been throwing up since 3:30 non stop. Never had such bad food poisoning. The chicken must have been raw or way past its sell date. Didn’t check inside the rolls as they tasted good. Wasn’t obviously off upon taste. Looked like this happened to other customers within the week. Please sort.

Such a lovely little deli. A variety of fresh products always to hand. Great coffee and menu. Sandwiches are fab. The atmosphere is great too. Always busy and very popular. The staff are very friendly. Well worth a visit.

Lovely little deli with some high quality locally produced items, the sandwiches are amazing. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, particularly welcomed by Connor who is always around at the deli, who is always extremely accommodating to us and what we want! Highly recommend

Popped in on my lunch break after a work meeting. Very happy to see the vegetarian and vegan options. Food was delicious and top quality ingredients. Great friendly staff, and great to see the deli's dog of the week on the socials. Brilliant! Will be visiting again for sure.

Just bought a tuna panini to take away today. Unfortunately upon eating I noticed a very strong and foul taste. I opened the sandwich and there was mould on the vegetables inside. Really disappointed and never experienced anything like this from a deli/restaurant before. What a shame.

My husband and I always get the deli box for lunch. Delicious and high quality every single time. Also they have tasty coffee and pastries for when you want that fix. The selection of meats and cheeses look great too, will give them a try sometime!

Really poor customer service, grumpy and abrupt owner. Please don't take your problems out on the customer, if your products weren't so good I wouldn't come back.

Fortunate to have a son just moved to the area whilst at UoM, and have now been to this lovely deli twice now. The coffee has been excellent each time, along with high fat extras !!! My son and his girlfriend have also had takeaway vegetarian sandwiches which they really liked

I wanted to suprise my best friend and organise buying her a morning coffee and croissant when she popped in while walking her dog. The staff at Lapwing were AMAZING! The most bizarre opening question “do you know the woman who comes in with her greyhound called Maeve?!” Which, of course they did! Without hesitation they sorted out her morning treat, sent me their bank details so I could transfer the money (which I managed eventually 🤣🤣) and made both our mornings! When I next come to visit I’m going to pop in and buy myself a coffee and morning treat… which I won’t be sharing with the dog.. or either of my children!!! 🤣 THANK YOU AGAIN! The most amazing customer service EVER! X

I had the “Besto Toastie”. A delicious toastie made with Ham, Turkey, Tomato, oozing with Brie and Pesto. A charming deli in the heart of West Didsbury. Selling appetising local produce with service with a smile. I will definitely be back to sample more of their produce.

This place is good, but if you order a panini expect to die from old age. The machines are insanely slow and for some reason this place never changes them?

Stopped to have some lunch here. The selection was good and the toasties that we had were lovely! However, the customer service is definitely lacking. We ordered with a young girl and then stood around as we weren't told if we could sit and wait or where to pay or how long it might take.. We also were never asked if we were eating in or taking away. The food took quite a while to arrive and when it did we were not offered napkins/cutlery/condiments etc. No one checked in on us so we didn't say anything and left after we ate.

I work just a few doors down from this deli, and when I popped in early morning I asked the young girl serving what time they shut, she said 6pm, so a little before 5:30pm I called back in on my way home to get a selection of wine, cheese and meats only to be told they were shut? I questioned why she told me they shut at 6pm to which she replied their shut down times vary… this seems like an odd way to run a business! You advertise online at being open until 6pm during the week, and your door is always open when I’m leaving work, sometimes with people sat outside with a drink… yet I was refused service at barely 5:30pm? I question why your staff are allowed to give misleading information? I do not live local and as I was intending to purchase for my husband’s 40th I can not just come again another day… disappointing experience… perhaps locking the doors before 5:30pm and changing your advertised ‘opening’ times are in order to save any confusion in future??

One of my favourite places in West didsbury. Cheese, bread, Deli meats, wine, cocktails, great coffee, lovely staff and a great out door seating area to soak in the sun. Love this place

The best in the area.. staff wonderful, products excellent.

Unfortunately the few times I've been in I've felt fairly unwelcome, whether for coffee to takeaway or to sit in for a drink. Drinks haven't been great quality - flat spritzes, dirty glasses, rubbish left on tables. Staff don't seem to offer the same positive, welcoming, proactive service as the other brilliant businesses on Lapwing Lane. It's a shame as it has great potential and I'm always keen to support local, but each time I return I leave disappointed.

Gorgeous refurb recently and the sandwiches are second to none. They also stock local produce, which is brilliant. Definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area! And if you fancy a lil gin... 🍸

Never been to this place before , called in for cake and coffee, plenty of staff but seemed a bit disorganised, queued up for cake then had to queue again to order coffee !

Cosy and friendly with the most incredible range of food available. Fully recommend the cheese and wine nights if you can book on - we had the best cheese and wine pairings (and super generous portions!)

I unfortunately had a bad experience in this place. The staff behind the cheese counter did not really know what they were selling me, they indeed sold me a cheese for another. They also sold me two months expired ricotta. In general the products are overpriced for the quality.

Went with a friend a while back for lunch and it was lovely. So I thought I would call in on my way to work. All details on website and Google state it opens at 7am. Last week I pulled up outside on my way to work and saw the guy lock the door and change the sign to closed. Checked the website again today and still shows opens 7am. They were just getting a delivery I went to the door and asked if open to be told no it's 7.30 so I said u need to update Google as it's shows 7am. Very disappointed as I left home early to go to work and call in to get something for lunch. Please update the internet and your website to this effect as u will lose business as I was telling people at work how good u were but they all start at 7.30.!

Expensive! Every item has a massive markup over the price you'd pay normally in a supermarket.

Popped by for a quick bite to eat at lunchtime. A great selection of deli meats, light bites and food. A superb coffee, samosa and polish cheesecake served by a very knowledgeable Connor made it the best lunch stop in a while! Will be back.

*FIVE STAR WINE AND CHEESE NIGHT* I highly recommend the wine and cheese events at Lapwing Deli. Each course of unique cheese was served with a perfectly paired white wine, red wine or Prosecco. I can’t wait to attend the next one!

Me and some friends went to their cheese and wine night. Honestly incredible. 5 beautiful, completely different cheeses each carefully paired with a different wine. For £30 we were expecting little half measures of wine and small bites of cheese but they did nothing by halves, exceeded our expectations. We would go back again in a heartbeat

Attended the inaugural wine and cheese night at Lapwing Deli this week. Fantastic selection of speciality cheeses and paired wines, very friendly and knowledgeable staff and a great atmosphere! Could not recommend more!!!!

I frequent the deli almost daily as it’s very local to me, the staff are all friendly and the coffee is even better than big chain store coffee shops like Costa! Lots to choose from and vegan options available, which is perfect for folks like me with dairy/egg allergies. The deli has a lovely home-like atmosphere, always a joy to visit!

The cheese platter was hands-down one of the best I've ever had! Really friendly staff with a lovely seating area outside. Great little hidden gem!

Just popped in, passed numerous times but there's never a place to park, so today i won, had the Hot Minted lamb and Mozzarella Ciabatta and my word it was gorgeous,will certainly be making a return soon (parking allowing) 👍👍👍

Visited for drink and cake. Staff were excellent ( accompanied with a lady with Altzheimers). Great range of cakes and pastries and selection of breads. Recommend the polish cheesecake had to take another portion home it was so delicious. Also bought some home made humus which looked too good to leave.

We used to come down to the deli to collect nice cheeses and bread from our walks to Fog Lane. We are now very please that we can get to seat down and enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace with a nice board of charcuterie & cheese. That brought it to the next level for us. We'll probably add it to our normal dog walk for a cheeky glass on the way home. Good service and friendly staff,would definitely recommend.

Dropped by recently whilst in the area, I was very impressed with the choice and service.

As a cheese lover, I was spoilt for choice. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly and the atmosphere was very inviting. When I'm back in the area, I'll make it a priority to go back!

Stopped by for a coffee with friends and ended up leaving with a lot more! Lots of cheeses, sweet treats, hot food and local produce. Very attentive staff too so overall, very happy. Will be coming back! I would definitely recommend the hot toasties!

New to the area and popped into Fusion Deli. Amazing selection of sandwiches, cakes, coffee and local produce. Recommend the donuts they had! The owner also really knew his stuff. Will certainly be returning 😄

Barm cakes today were so stale ! The coleslaw was dry, too. Also, very expensive! Won't be coming here again..
