Fusion in Southend-on-Sea

Food was full of oil and made me feel sick all night. Today it came out the other end. I have been a regular but lately this place has gone down hill and I certainly won’t go back. Very disappointed

I have the same order nearly every week. Usually a lady takes my order on the phone and is accommodating. Phoned tonight and was on the phone for ages getting them to know what I wanted… noisy kitchen. Then the order was delivered and more expensive than usual..why? They got the order wrong. Too much food which goes in the bin cos I can’t eat it all. The food is usually nice but last week my chop suey was so salty it was inedible. This weeks food was good but due to the wrong order, even after many conversations, shame about the waste of food and my money. I usually order on the phone earlier so kitchen is not so noisy? Maybe I will go back to ordering on just eat? Maybe too much bother for Chinese food. I will take a break from this place.

Once again, juts been discharged from hospital i made the mistake, akin to Taste of China of getting a takeaway in Leigh - a big mistake!

Our regular Chinese was closed, didn't find out until we phoned to place an order. Thought we'd try a local as we had our heart set on a Chinese. How bad can the other takeaways be we wondered. Took one bite of the wontons and put them straight in the recycle bin. Prawn toast greasy and not much flavour. Duck was OK but they hadn't taken it off the bone and it was small. Fried rice hadn't been fried, and the lemon chicken had the texture of tofu and a flavour to match. I don't understand why you'd bother making such poor quality takeaway food in a well to do town like Leigh. In future we will stick to driving to the One takeaway in Thundersley. It's worth the 10+ minute drive. Really it is, their food is superb.

I tried again as I was passing. Never again. Taske was not great, I cook better thai food at home. Daughter said hew chicken was raw and chewy and she threw hers away.

Very disappointed! The food is in the bin ..Satay sauce had an inch think of oil on top and no taste Chicken balls were not fresh they were wet and soggy on the outside and a tiny piece of rubber chicken inside The Singapore rice had no meat ect in it and no taste which should have been spicy! What has happened to the good food never eating here again !

I would say poor to average. We have tried this a few times now and this will be the last. It’s just down to really cheap ingredients. The chicken is more akin to Kentucky chicken with that horrible rubbery texture.

let's be honest, this takeaway is never going to move mountains or produce food that will live long in the memory when it comes to culinarydelights, but it serves a purpose. To order vegetarian spring rolls then the sweet chilli sauce is charged as a supplement of £1.30 is taking the sauce, or not in my case!

Everything on the menu is fantastic but half unchopped duck with meat spring rolls when u get home late from a hard days night is the way forward. Great proficient service, no messing, considerate, accommodating, nice and polite.Love this place. I'm there every other week at least, never let down and quality of food is very good. And I'm fussy! Ha. Try iit.

Old school Chinese takeaway serving great takeaway food that is fast and well prepared. We like that the kitchen is within eyeshot as you order your food!

Food was hot, chicken balls over fried and hard. Not much batter on them. The house special rice was a massive disappointment. All rice, 3 pieves of veg on top, about 2 o7mces of meat. It was all rice!!!!! And bland. Learn to use herbs and salt, taste your own good. SEE PICTURE, ALL RICE! 6 POUNDS FOR 20P worth of rice.

I am not great fan of take-away food but I have to admit that the delivery we had from Fusion was excellent. It was fairly late in the evening and we, as a family, decided to book from this restaurant. The selection of dishes we ordered was varied. The King Prawn Pad Thai, seaweed, chicken and black bean, beef with vegetables, rice were all so tasty and piping hot. We were even sent complimentary prawn crackers. There was only one dish that disappointed and that was the satay chicken. I will use this place again, but I will not order this dish.

Decided to have a takeaway with a friend on a Saturday night and we weren’t sure where to go. I have used Fusion on a couple of occasions and enjoyed it, but I was worried when I saw the large number of negative reviews on trip advisor. Thankfully for us we had a great experience. The aromatic duck was perfect. I chose sweet and sour king prawns which were cooked exactly as they should be and my friend had a chicken Malaysian curry with chicken which was flavourful and tender, but could probably have done with a few more vegetables in it. Delivery was great and on time too.

Only way to describe it.awfulSoups were like dish water.My udon seafood special, noodles tasted odd, squid over cooked and tough.prawns mediocre.Sweet and sour pork balls greasy and to salty to eat.Salt and pepper squid way to saltyMost thrown away.As a chef of 17 yrs in kitchen i know my way around a stove.Sad to say wont be ordering again

I've been using another local Chinese Delivery service for the past few years but have been recommended Fusion by a few people so thought I'd give it a go. Brilliantly tasty food and loads of it. Now my new favourite!!!!

Delivered well over an hour late, food standard and cold, no apology just a sarcastic laugh from delivery driver to say ‘enjoy’ don’t bother.

The Portions for a takeaway are excellent. I do tend to make sure I order early if a takeaway and not collect as can be a little slow - but not always - but never long enough to bother me particularly.

The food from this takeaway is absolutely fantastic. The delivery service time is always accurate and the food is always hot. Highly recommended

I have been ordering from here for some time and have seen the standard dropping for some time now but tonight we had friends over and ordered over the phone as always but this time items were missing when delivered and parts of the order was wrong but when I phoned to let them know I was abruptly responded to and told the person answering the phone was new and the mistake was mine . I was told that the error would be rectified and delivered as soon as possible and when it arrived I was greeted by someone demanding money before parting with the meal . Sorry but I have seen this establishment getting slipshod with orders over the last few months and will not be using them any more. The food is really nice when you get what you ordered.

All the dishes were great. One dish Id ordered was forgotten - mistakes happen, when I rang to ascertain where it was they brought it round piping hot and very promptly. I'd definitely use them again.

Eaten here before and it was fine but this time the quality of the food was poor! Tasted cheap and nasty.

Food wasn't great. Had before and was lovely. Had lots of chicken skin in meal which was ment to be house special chowmein. It had tiny bits of beef that was chewy. No other meat ..

placed order at 7pm, it's now 9.30pm still no food! will never use again....

Been a regular customer here most Friday nights. Was good at first but has steadily gone downhill and after this last delivery I feel it's time for a dressing down. Basically it's seems now that any dish you order is beefed up with a tonne of onions. I personally like onions but everyone has there tipping point! In tonight's order, salt and pepper ribs, used to be loads of ribs for everyone but lately been having 3 mini ribs each and about a pound of onion. Ordered beef in satay, basically beef in a bit of spicy bisto and again a tonne of onion. Prawns in garlic sauce; should have been called onions with a few prawns and garlic gravy! Oh and last but not least, chilli and salt squid (probably the worst I've tried, must be from Iceland) with, guess what ???

Everything works really well. We will definitely use again.

Good service but food overall not good. Crispy Duck was OK but the dry spareribs were under cooked and tasteless and the vegetarian spring rolls flat and flavourless.

confirmed delivery time yet was 20 mins late. always order from here but last few times have been poor thought was just a bad day so tried again and again And again yet tonight was the worst. sauce all over the bag and tubs. warm food nearly cold. soggy rice and omelette. spare ribs didn't even look cooked so never bothered putting them to our mouth. pork in chow mein was chewy and chips half burnt. safe to say finding a new Chinese very disappointing

Was ok but nothing special. Sweat and sour king prawns was stuck together as big ball. Wasn't impressed with it. They were 20 mins late had to phone up for it on a tuesday night.??? Duck had no flavour. Sorry to say but wont order again.

Tenemos fusión por lo menos dos veces al mes. Cuando nos trasladamos a la zona nos daba miedo por encontrar un buen restaurante chino local ordenar como de experiencia tienden a ser bastante inconsistente, pero desde el innumerables veces que pedimos de fusión que no he tenido una sola mala experiencia.

Spent £45 and was hoping the food would be worth it. It wasn't. Delivery turned up without the two chow meins. Called them and they said they would send them back out. So got stuck into what I had. Prawn toast was a joke, just deep fried bread with a small prawn in there. Dry ribs were ok but saturated in fat. Satay chicken disappointing, someone ate half the chilli beef and when the chow meins turned up I got what I expected, more dire food. Maybe they ran out of onions and bean sprouts!

What a great meal, the best take out I have had on Just Eat. I hope they keep this standard up! The food was delivered early and piping hot full of taste and not greasy at all.

Great Chinese, by far the best in the area. Good portion sizes and everything tastes fresh not pre-cooked and warmed up. Particular favorites are the salt & pepper dishes (especially the chips & tofu) and the Malaysian curry. Delivered super quick.

Ordered a takeaway for Saturday evening - was awful, the chicken balls were greasy and tasted strange - dripping in oil, the ribs were try, the curry was disgusting, the sharing starter wasn't nice - spring rolls were completely tasteless and had hardly no filling, the prawn toasts soggy.....all in all very bad.....& did the restaurant want to know? Definitely not and said well we will not be refunding anything. Fine i'll take my custom elsewhere and also tell everyone I know how awful the takeaway was! Thanks

Absolutamente basura. gambas sesame en tostadas era exactamente eso. Uno de gambas pegado en un trozo de pan frito con salsa mixta stir verduras gloupy fritos sin sabor. Los mejillones con alubias negras eran los congelados tipo no entraba en su concha como China. Porquería insípido y debería saber siendo la mitad de China. Cocina abierta no significa comida de calidad. Cualquier rápido de comida para llevar que tiene un amplio menú de mezclado es generalmente de mala calidad. Nunca más. Tenía mi hijo de 14 años para el fin de semana y él estaba lejos de impresionarnos y come algo. Los estómagos vacíos equivale en este completo bin.

Text message said food ready at requested time. Still had to wait almost 15 mins at restaurant whilst order was prepared. At least food was good and freshly cooked but waiting that long is a definite shortcoming.

We enjoyed some of the food.. but ordered Satay chicken and we didn't eat hardly any of this, as the chicken was not good and it tasted like cheap processed chicken. Shame as we liked the rest of the meal.

Very disappointed with tonight's meal. It was luke warm, despite the takeaway only being 7 mins max walk. (and a delivery fee !) We asked for salt and chilli chips, however only received garlic lukewarm chips. The satay sauce was runny and lukewarm. The food was definitely not worth the £16 we paid.

Always take a little longer than the specified collection time but the food is good. As a vegetarian I was disappointed to find chunks of beef in my meal but I can forgive them, this one time at least! Kitchen seems clean and I like that you can see all of the cooks in action.

Was told delivery would be 15 minutes after order.. Didn't arrive for 40 minutes. Food was good though!
