I accidently left a review saying garlic chicken dry had been taken off the menu and realised the reason I was so dissapointed was I had ordered from the wrong Chinese!! We ordered from fortune house instead of full house! No wonder I didn’t enjoy it! Full house is amazing! Gutted I got the wrong place so sorry for the wrong review

Just had fortune house and I’m absolutely gutted they have taken garlic chicken (dry) off the menu. After 30 years of not eating Chinese food I finally found a dish I absolutely love. We called up and the chef tried to make something similar he said it was salt and pepper with garlic it wasn’t the same it was mostly just batter crunchy and dry no chicken I’m gutted!

Prawn balls were so burnt and overcooked - inedible and the chips were old fried chips refried worst Chinese I’ve had in a while, will return to my usual

Have not visited before. Popped in on the off chance for dinner for 2 adults. Not disappointed! A real gem of a place. You would go far to find such excellent service or food! Flavours are wonderful. Very big portions too. Such attentive staff. A lovely visit. Will be going again.

So glad I found this Chinese, I’m super fussy when it comes to Chinese, stumbled across them by accident on Uber as they were the only one delivering to me, now my go to, this one is fresh, flavourful, yummy and so reasonably priced. Have tried lots of Chinese's in Colchester but this one is a winner and my new favourite!

The worst Chinese we have ever eaten, spent over £70 and was awful. Duck was so dry and got hardly anything off it, not even enough for 2 adults let alone 4. And they didn't send the pancakes either. All the adults just weren't impressed and didn't taste great.

We have ordered a number of times and always been very impressed. This order was very disappointing. Despite the rising costs the portions are noticeably smaller. Just a handful of seaweed in the mixed starter, and Crispy Beef only two thirds full.

Not as good as it was, hardly any beef in both beef dishes and black bean had mushrooms in then it usually doesn’t. Also no prawn crackers .

Missing items. Incorrect items. And poorly cooked items. I had paid for two diet cokes and never received them as well as that I paid for a set meal for 2 which included Kung pao chicken, however, the store did not provide me this and sent mixed vegetables instead? As well as this the duck was completely burnt and inedible. Overall terrible quality food and the “meat” meals barely had any meat. Not worth ordering from them.

Over priced, under seasoned and really poor flavour, would never eat from here again!!!

Delivery late, despite getting notification that it was on its way in good time - shouldn’t have taken 45 minutes for a 15 minute journey! Restaurant unhelpful and dismissive when called. Quality of food also not as good as usual and missing one of the items ordered.

Have ordered from here 2 times. Everything we have ordered have been great! The creamy prawns are lovely. This second time that we ordered,it came a bit late, but we got a bottle of pepsi max and prawn crackers for free because of the wait so they definitely made up for it. And food came hot and nice anyway! This is the best Chinese of the ones we've tried in Colchester.

We popped in on the off chance one Friday night a few weeks ago and so glad we did :-) Such a pretty little place Very friendly, caring service, We really enjoyed our food and drinks and thought it was extremely reasonably priced - we will be back!

I usually love the food here but the salt and pepper squid today was very salty! Not sure if this is how they always prepare them as I ordered this for the first time from this restaurant. Usually it’s not too salty

Usually really good but waited over 2 hours for current order and its still not arrived, was told it was out for delivery and would be 10 mins, after 30 mins they said they were just making it now.... ridiculous

Picked up a takeaway and found the food very bland. They need to add flavour to their food. No wonder it was quick to cook.

Terrible experience ordering from here. Ordered my food for delivery at 7.00pm. Rang the restaurant an hour after I had placed my order as it still had not arrived, and was told it was out for delivery. Another 30 minutes pass and still nothing so we rang back just to be lied to and told it was sent out 10 minutes ago (even tho half an hour ago it was just sent ojt too) said the same thing, my husband reminded them of our previous phone call and that he has told us the same thing all we got was “oh have you still not received your order” absolute joke! After waiting 2hours 30 minutes and absolutely starving we rang back for a third time and cancelled our order. I have no idea what happened, our order was clearly placed and supposedly out for delivery for an hour and a half even tho we live 10 minutes from the restaurant!!! Will never order again due to the hassle and bad customer service. Far better chineses in Colchester and a lot more reliable.

One item was missing although they did refund me for this, much appreciated. However the tofu was awful very very dry and chips freezing cold

First time trying this restaurant and I can honestly say, it’s the best Chinese I’ve ever had in Colchester. The food was absolutely beautiful, especially the duck. It arrived on time, piping hot and even the lovey young lady who delivered it was polite and very nice. 10/10

Absolutely shocking service, I ordered food and over 2 hours later still no food ring the restaurant who give me many excuses about where my food is, after explaining I never received anything they hang up on me and continue to do so, I will never order from here again

Delivered an hour and a half early - we couldn’t accept at that time as kids were still up. Never turned up again after that - called the restaurant 30 mins past the time it should have been with us to be told “People muck us around” and that she’d get the chef to start cooking now… How about no?! Never using again.

Genuinely one of the better quality Chinese deliveries around and at a cheaper price point too. Big thumbs up.

Probably one of the best Chinese iv ever tasted. I won’t go anywhere else now. You can taste all the flavours. It’s a shame they don’t have an all you can eat. Definitely will be eating again from here

Had a lovely experience here. The food arrived almost instantly once we ordered. Not only did it taste absolutely wonderful, the service provided was nothing short of spectacular. Highly recommend for eating in.

Not the best Chinese around here. Food was quite over cooked and cold. Prawns were very rubbery and cold. Also the rice was crunchy and very yellow for some bizarre reason

Ordered a takeaway as we had guests over tonight. Finally arrived after a 2 hour wait, half the order missing no offer to deliver the food that was missing. Hungry disappointed people here AVOID!

Food had lots of bones in it my children choked and and was gasping for air because of the bones was very worried when this happened but I know you will not do anything about this issue as your customer service is terrible

After 2 phone calls to the company we waited 2 hours for it to be delivered and it was freezing cold and tasted so bad

Ordered veggie dumplings and got chicken. This could have killed me. There was also what seemed to be a bone in my salt and pepper chilli tofu

The restaurant is so clean and well decorated. The cutlery is hot hence they sterilise it. Im not sure the woman who works there is a staff or owner. But she is super, she is so nice so friendly, happy smiley face. The price is not expensive at all. This is more then a 5 stars restaurant.

Excellent Chinese food and excellent personal and friendly service. We ate in, which isn't advertised on the takeaway menu on the window outside - and is the same price. We had a very pleasant sit-down experience. Will definately consider again.

The gentleman on the phone was so polite and Kind and the food tasted AMAZING, I used to go to fai’s but this will definitely be my new local. I work in the hospitality trade myself, sometimes that one nice person really does make your experience so much better !! Delivery driver was lovely too. Poor quality food and extremely late service. We waited an hour and 20 minutes for our meal. Do not order from here. Customer service absolutely awful as well.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Was given a prediction of an hour and 20 minutes wait, which came and went. Called repeatedly for 20 minutes and line was constantly busy. Ended up arriving an hour late after we'd given up and made other food. Do not bother, go for another Chinese.
