Frying Squad in Blackpool

Popped in for a chip butty . Lady on till very miserable. Took my order and said with a rude I don't want to do this attitude it be ready I a couple of minuets . Chips was not nice taist refryed. Now I know why I was the only person in here ..

We ate here on our trip to Blackpool, stopped for fish, chips and gravy (so very Northern of me I know) it was all cooked to order and the fish was very tasty. Loved the fact the gravy came in a seperate little pot so I could dip. Decently priced for a seaside town too.

My partner has woken up with food poisoning this morning we only ate from here around 10pm last night im fine but i had somethink totally different (he had fish)

Best chippy I found in Blackpool, they smelt lovely as i walked up street so popped in,cheap,bough a chip butty,tasted lovely,clean and could sit in and eat them

What happened here? So,we visit regular but have been overseas 8 weeks,sadly there has been a staff change 😔, . No more smiles,no more conversation and the food....greasy undercooked chips and nuked pies. Shame as it had turned around. Sort it out ladies

From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome. It was a bitterly cold afternoon and the lady behind the counter offered us her heater to warm. We chose from the wide selection of the menu which was very reasonably priced. All the food was cooked fresh and came piping hot. Would highly recommend this chip shop. All the best from Coventry

Best fish and chips ever! Super friendly girls serving and cooking. Good meal deals and proper chips not fries.lots of seating in a very clean enviroment

Reheated everything? Guy did his best eg reheating currie sauce and mushy peas. Chips were not crisp and fish was OK below batter but latter was soft and fish was just about hot. AVOID unless busy. Plenty of other bigger, better patronised places a cockstride away. Son hungry and gave in... Error on a big scale!)

We called in on Thursday evening for fish & chips. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality. Lovely thick white cod in a crispy batter & the chips also had a nice crunch. Both served freshly cooked & piping hot. If you have a good appetite, you won't be disappointed. No skimping here. I'm not easily pleased so a 4 rating is rare from me. The lady behind the counter certainly knows how to cook fish & chips

Looking for a chippy as it was late so found this open wish I hadn't bothered. Food came chips were cold and anemic so was the colour of the fish, chips tasted disgusting putting us off so we binned it all!! Woman on the counter was rude and had a horrible attitude....PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! I would give 0 stars if I couldn't doesn't deserve 1.

We were trying to find a chippy tea before our show started & our 'go to' had a 20 minute wait so we looked around and came across here. I really wish we hadn't bothered as we spent over a tenner and everything went in the bin - the food was awful & there was even a bit of food around my drinks bottle lid which also went into the bin. It's probably fine for if you've been out drinking but I'd advise you try to find somewhere else if not.

Not much open yet so tried fish and chips here. Tastes superb, spotlessly clean, happy service very quick cooked fresh

This fish n chip shop is banging couldn’t pick a better place to stuff me face. Best chippy around , amazing staff more than amazing if anything think they deserve a pay rise for all there hard work! LOVELY 😊

Disgusting to say the least! We nipped into this chippy just for a quick bite on the way back to our hotel. We paid £3.60 for a portion of chips and gravy, which I thought was extortionate anyway as the portion size was tiny, but half way through my meal I found a dead fly!! I took it back up to the counter and showed it to the woman behind the counter - she just looked and it and said "oh". No apology, no refund - nothing! I would avoid this place like the plague! There are plenty of good fish and chip shops in Blackpool - it's just not this one I'm afraid. If I could give it a zero rating I would. Very poor :(

Second visit to frying squad with my family and again it was lovely freshly made food. They do great affordable meal deals including kids meals. Have recommended to all, definitely a place to visit when in Blackpool!

excellent take away had here all cooked from scratch fish was excellent we got a meal deal fish chips curry sauce or gravy and a can of coke for £5.50 a good deal we thought and it was very good would recommend

Went to Blackpool last night and it was closed , a very sad place to visit in the winterThe pizza restaurant had a 40 minute wait so we tried the chippy as we didn’t want to miss the start of our show Ok but would not recommend , very reasonable but the fish was very thin when taken out of the batter , would not recommend or go again , sorry

Absolutely vile place. I should have gone with my initial instincts after we'd ordered, waited 15 minutes, and were handed the fish that had been sat kept warm for the whole time we'd been there (and who knows how long prior to that). I watched the girls behind the counter handle money and pick things up off the floor with their bare hands and then proceed to put those same hands into a bowl of grated cheese to sprinkle on someone's chips. The fish I ordered gave me horrific food poisoning for 48 hours. Reported to food standards agency. Despicable.

Visited here with my family yesterday, Ordered 2 jumbo sausage meals and 2kids nuggets meals. No complaints from anyone, was lovley and will definitely been going again. Staff are also very friendly and welcoming!

I visited here with my partner and our 2 children, we ordered fish and chips twice and 2 portions of chicken nuggets and chips. The ketchup was that far diluted that it was no longer red. My children could not eat their food as they both said it was awful. The chips were dry and the fish was barely edible. We paid a lot of money to feed the shops bin. It was that bad I advised the gentleman who came in whilst we were clearing our table to save his money and eat elsewhere as the food was horrendous. Would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.
