I had tried the fish and chips, a while back, when visiting a friend and have been meaning to go back since, and so, I took my mum on a Friday and we were thoroughly impressed by the quality of food; the chips were hot and not oily and nor was the fish. The batter was light, which I know my mum appreciated because sometimes she has to peel off the excess batter from the fish. The service was excellent and the gentleman who served us was so accommodating and friendly, thank you! We decided to sit down in the shop, to eat our food and the atmosphere was great, very clean and pleasant. We’ll definitely be back!

very poor quality chips was old and stale tasted like lunch times chips reheated. usually very nice has been ordered regularly but never again. please just take more pride with your food.

Chips were stone cold and not fresh

This fish and chips shop is by far the best. The service by these gentlemen is always humble and friendly. I live a bit far from Sutton but only come to Sutton for their delicious food, there are no good Halal fish and chips shops anywhere near me however the journey is always worth it. I Always get a large cod and chips with a battered sausage which is also halal. I can't recommend this place enough. If your ever in Sutton and fancy good quality service and great tasting food please come here. jazakallahu Khair Isa

food was terrible and soggy. few hours after eaten, one by one, the whole house started explosions from both ends of the body if you catch my drift

Sadly packaging really bad and child’s drink in the middle of the hot food? The chicken was very dry and sadly the fish had a few bones in it and the box it came in was soaking wet with oil not very good

Not sure what's going on with this place since we first ordered. Last time the Large cod was small and this time the cod batter was very greasy and soggy. Worst chippy I've had unfortunately.

Food was not great at all could tell chips were not freshly made and had been sitting there for a while I normally order from here and never have problems and the delivery driver decided to drive away from my house looks like to go to another fast food restaurant… not happy with food or delivery service :(

Best fish and chips. Love their sausages and cod. Chips are always hot and exactly how you'd expect from a fish and chip place. Curry sauce nice and the home made garlic sauce is very yummy. Did wish they did chilli cheese bites or jalapeño cream cheese, besides the sides being a bit lacking. The mains are fantastic- taste and value

3rd order, on a positive food was hot. On the negative pies were dry left in warmer to long burnt inside (2nd time this has happened) chips tasted like they had been refried! really not nice, we shall not be ordering again.

The food was inedible. Dry, powdery chips, soggy, fishy smelling and tangy tasting cod, and sausage that seemed to be closer to dry cured than deep-fried.

Fish had smell of ammonia,indicating fish not fresh .I think I will order else where next time.am disappointed ,first time this has happened always had good fish from U ?

After Frydays Fishbar was sold to a new owner, I was interested in visiting. I had previously been buying my Fish and Chips from a Fish and Chip shop in north Cheam, which was a good takeaway but was a few miles away from my home. The new owners have done a great job in reinstalling confidence in the quality of the food as it was awarded a 5-star food hygiene rating from the council, which added to my confidence to visit. I have been to this fish and chips take away a number of times now, and the food quality is always very tasty and appealing. The chips are perfect, and the fish has always been fresh and tasty. The staff are friendly and talktative, and I've never been disapointed.

Food was stone cold, put it in the bin. Not a happy customer. Driver just left it in my porch and drove off with no explanation as to why he was so late. Not a good advert for Just Eat.

Old Chip shop at the bottom of the high street has been reopened with new owners , just tried it today, chips were lovely and fresh and the cod was stunning. Highly recommended

Unfortunately both the chips and the fish were dry and as they were hot I felt they had been hanging around being kept warm, not freshly cooked.

Unfortunately the garlic mushrooms were way overcooked, the battered sausage wasn’t much better. Overall it was ok, normally when I collect it’s perfect.

Frydays is pretty good. They actually do handcut fresh chips, which is a step up from many places that obviously do frozen ones. It's also super refreshing to get an estimated wait time and food weight on the menu, so you know what the portion sizes are! Ever ordered an extra large chips and wasnt sure if you'd get a McDonalds extra large or two kilos of chips? Now you know! The fish was good and crispy the first time I had it, but less so the second time. Still pretty good fish, not greasy.

I have not received my refund, i spend £53 and only received one cod and a large chips, spoke to the the gentleman of the fish and chips shop and he told me i should resolve it with just eat, until today i am struggling to get my money back, i would like my money back.

Arrived very quickly, was piping hot. The curry sauce was really nice will definitely be ordering again! Only thing I can say is the chips needed salt and vinegar but otherwise was lovey.

This Chippy was previously called the 'Happy Plaice', which was rather ironic as given the quality of the food was poor, one was left in a bad place! However, times and places change. The new owners have renamed the premises 'Frydays' and along with this refresh, the quality of the food has improved. Both the dine in and take away food are good quality. As there is abit of a knack to getting fish and chips right (and as many providers fall short), an award of five stars is appropriate.

Got a notification from shop food was on the way, driver took well over 20 mins to get to me. The cold cans was placed on top of the box of chips with the cold of the cans, made box soggy and there for stone cold chips Think more a delivery driver issue but food was stone cold, re heated made them taste disgusting
