I've only had the corned beef fritter, had a tooth out so wanted something easy to chew. Was very impressed. And the wife and kids had some burgers and chips and fish and chips, and they all said how good it is.

The food was lovely, only complaint peas were not mushy, alittle bit hard.

Food good but a little colder. Delivery driver was rude. Not ordering again.

I ordered this food at 6:30 after watching the time adjustment it kept on getting later and later I got to the stage where I had to cancel the order and go somewhere else. if they can't supply food on just eat then get out of it cancel your contract with just eat you're not worth messing around with on there people order food for a reason letting customers wait till 30 minutes before you close is ridiculous with no updates to say when you will if ever get your food

I fell upon this chip shop by chance about 5 months ago and it really is terrific! It's a family business who are very friendly. The food is delicious. My go to is chicken meat with chips and mushy peas and it's always fantastic and at a reasonable price.

Cod was very nice but the chips were dry, would order again though, may just have been a one-off with the dry chips.

Best chippy in the area. The chips are just the best,thick and chunky. Food turned up warm and on time,hubby had a mini fish and there was nothing mini about it.😀 He also said the batter was beautiful! Will definitely be ordering from here again.

No food for over an hour rang up to be told there was no driver never so I had to collect food was kept warm so all dry and over cooked not good at all

Great chippy! Big fat home style chips and plenty of them. Prices are reasonable and even has a little seated area outside. Winner!!

Ordered here for first time. Waited 1 hour no food so rang shop to be told that they don't deliver even though it says delivery on website. They said food had been ready for half an hour with no phone call to tell us this. The food would be dry and cold by time I fetched it. The woman was rude and kept shouting down phone we don't deliver you must fetch it. They wouldn't refund or cancel it so a waste of £11. Not great service and very rude staff. Avoid avoid avoid !!

The fish and chips were bad and went straight through me I was running to the toilet. Fish was NOT COD, chips were really soggy and the mushy peas yuk! Avoid please because I was running to the toilet over and over after eating food from them.

Had to put one star but this does not deserve any as the customer service is disgusting as if you order and something is missing you get told they can't do anything about witch is disgusting won't be ordering again

Came across this splendid Fish & Chip shop by chance, as I had time to "kill" before my train home after watching football at Alfreton Town FC. Had large sausage & chips and it was superb. Staff very friendly, and the seated area outside is great for days / evenings when the weather is fair (as it was on my visit) Would definitely call again if I am to visit Alfreton in the future.

Moved to the area not long ago, been looking for our regular fish & chips, this has definitely gone down as our favourite, fish cooked very well, Hake delicious and fresh chips, would recommend & we’ll be back!

What has happened the chips was disgusting mush peas tasted like they had been watered down the only thing I can say is the fish was nice.its a shame as I used to like the chips from there sorry won't be coming back

What’s happening to this shop since they refurbed it been in today the chips were pale and hard the fish was swimming in fat and they’ve changed the mini fish it was awful UPDATE being told to call into the shop to sort the problems I called in today Saturday 5/3/2022 as requested only to be questioned over and over about it the chap who was frying he was not at all helpful in and way and did not want to settle the problem on the other hand Sarah who was a star as always tried to find out what she had got to do but it fell on deaf ears. At that I was getting no we’re so I left the shop so be warned the the chap frying is not very helpful and awkward. It will belong time before I going there again especially when I travel a8mile round trip for the past 5 years for my fish and chips

Just visited for the first time, we had a mixed kebab very tasty and amazing service. Will definitely be coming again.

Stopped here to try the new menu and we tried the fish kebabs and burgers and we loved 🥰 them congrats.

After ordering online I waited over an hour for delivery so decided to ring the store. I was told they don't have any drivers? Mental.

Popped in after going to GJS we only had chips and gravy salt and vinegar and it was really tasty we enjoyed it we will be coming back. Well we came back and dropped the star rating down from 5 to 2 we called in on the 10th December 7 30 pm and the food is not consistent and not worth coming over from Chesterfield the gravy was bland no taste at all the chips were just run of the mill it was chalk and cheese I will not be returning for food here again.
