Frydays Fish and Chip takeaway in Boston

We have been using this chippy for years, it was always excellent with good sized portions of chips and fresh fish fried to order. However it now has new owners after the previous owners retired. Very disappointed on our visit last night to be served small, dry over cooked fish portions that had been sitting in the warming cabinet for god knows how long? We will not be returning any time soon.

This is a very traditional chippy and local to where we live. It’s always busy and is very popular. The food is tasty and of a high standard, with good choices.

Just called in here and had a large chips. The worst chips I have ever had. They were so greasy it stuck in my throat. I can still taste them now an hr later. I was going to have fish but the 2 pieces that were cooked looked burnt the batter was dark brown not a golden colour. I asked for a bottle of coke a cola and was given a cheap copy terrible stuff. All in all not a good experience. You have been warned keep away.

We have started to find the food slightly greasy, especially the chips. The chips have been undercooked for the last few visits, so regrettably we have now found somewhere else for our treat. Such a shame and hope they improve.

We have recently moved here and have had to forsake our usual favourite eateries due to distance. We have twice used Frydays and found it to be good. It's sometimes hard getting used to new places, but we so far have had good experiences in Boston. Frydays offers a good menu and well cooked food, plus service with a smile. Handy location for us too.

fantastic fish and chips never seen such large portions served as standard . I will be coming back for more with no doubts.very reasonable priced.

I have never had a bad meal from here, fish is good chips are good. What more can you want. A great place to get fish and chips from.
