Great fish and chips,cooked freshly for you and very reasonably priced and excellent staff,highly recommend.

Personally the food was great and cheap but the service felt rushed and it was real quite however the curry was a little strong for my preference

Consistent quality fish and chips since I used to come as a kid, big portions at a cheap price (the fish special is more than enough for me, I was halfway through the fish before I took the photo). Tables and chairs for casual dining.

Beautiful fish, delicious chips. Service was friendly. Can only recommend a visit, it is 30 years since I visited Cottingham and now I regret it as I could have had this food earlier. Only accept cash but there is an ATM close by.

I will start by saying that I'm very particular about fish and chips and I've been known walk out of a chippy after just one step inside. I am a resident of Cottingham and have always seen Frydays as a three out of five BUT something has changed recently and it's not me, yesterday my nose dragged my inside and made me buy chips, they were top notch so this evening I went back and bought fish and chips to make sure it wasn't a fluke, it wasn't. The food I am now sated with was delicious and easily merits five stars

Evening meal for 4. Approx £8 per person. Fish excellent as were the Patties Chips and Mushy peas.

First time trying Frydays as recommended by family . I will be returning excellent fish and chips cooked to perfection see you soon .

Visited lunch today ordered a big order for my collages was very impressed all food cooked to order and freshly made would definitely recommend as was perfect quality will be returning soon

Excellent fish and chips, fast service, reasonable prices,free and disabled parking on street available, a great takeaway service and good staff, very busy, but do take orders over the telephone which is advised. You can now eat in, but no rest room.

This is by far the best fish and chips I've ever tasted. They are cooked to order and it really shows in the taste, no soggy batter and cooked just how you like it. The food is not greasy as you would expect and everything on the menu is lovely. The owners and staff are all very friendly and polite. I would highly recommend this fish and chip shop.

Lovely food all cooked fresh to order. There are a few tables to sit at or take out and sit in the gardens just along the road. Clean environment and lovely friendly service.

The haddock must have been frozen. It was hard. The batter wasn’t any better, and had a terrible aftertaste. Perhaps it was the oil it was cooked in - I don’t know. Thoroughly dissatisfied. A waste of money.

Offer gluten free fish and chips which taste great - really knowledgable about the condition to explaining all the processes they have in a place. Quality food and really friendly staff, would highly recommend to any coeliacs.

Really lovely chippy just shame I ordered a sausage butty and they didn't cut the sausage in half so was just plonked in a breadcake, which was also nice.

BEST fish and chips place for many miles!!! Fantastic hand chipped chips and the freshest fish (not frozen which is rare!), VERY high quality. Been coming for over 15 years. Always excellent!! Fantastic professional team! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I am a vegetarian and today I really craved fish-shop chips! Over recent years I’ve discovered that most shops cook in animal fat, which is disappointing for a vegetarian so I don’t bother! But now I’ve actually found a shop that actually cooks their food in vegetable oil! I was really impressed as now I can go somewhere which isn’t too far from me in future. And it was seriously good!!!! Amazing infact!! Staff were lovely and shop was extremely clean too.

Went in for lunch today, Fantastic fish and chips. Customer service is unbeatable. Will be my number one chippy from now on.

Chips were rank, fish was slimy, breadcake was stale. Traditional chippy that cooks in vegetable oil? This place would be out of business in West Yorkshire. It is the second worst chippy I've tasted my life
