Worst chips I ever had, we was given scraps of chips tasted like yesterdays left overs, no one finished it. Curry sauce was like water, and it arrived like warm and soggy at best! Will not order again. Only positive was the sausage was nice.

Went at midday & had mini fish special. Food was better than 5 star, was very hot, portion size was perfect & staff are very friendly. Will call again.

Hi I’ve just been in and placed an order 2 sausage specials and kids poppers I’ve got home and the spam fritter was missing, there’s no number to contact could I possibly get this next time I come in to place an order

Helped our family move house and ordered a fish and chip takeaway for all of us so very expensive.We were really looking forward to it after our exhausting day .It was the worst fish and chips we have ever eaten .Most of it went in the bin .Fish was dry and chips were terrible !

chips were a little too thinly cut and a bit overcooked. fish and sausage were out of this world!

Food cold portions diabolical for price will never come here again

Had sausage and large chips .got it home 5mins away and was warm.batter on sausage was soft not crispy. £5.40 is too much. Large chips that wasn't that large to be honest was £3.probably one of the dearest in the area. Old ownership was cheaper and better in my opinion . Wouldn't return to this chippy again.

Service very good and the fish and chips were excellent. Will definitely be making a visit again, well impressed.

Food is OK but changed owners since I last visited, never known such slow service in a fish and chip shop.

Disappointed really, most of the chips were hard scraggly ends, curry sauce was like water and a tiny pot of it and the battered sausage was hard rather than crispy. Can’t say I will rush back to order again 😏

First of all very late Food arrived cold Chips was rock hard Paid for a large gravy and a large curry but received the small ones All in all will definitely not use this place again lesson learned Did contact them with the mobile number provided but they said they was the large but these are definitely not large also aired my other complaints nothing at all done

food was only luke warm on arrival, size of fish was pitiful for the price. When I order large fish, I expect large fish. I get larger fish at all other Fish and Chip Shops, and you know what. Their large fish is larger and on average £2 cheaper .

too salty, couldn't enjoy it with the overload of salt (and barely any vinegar)

The food was cold and considering it is less than a 5 minute drive away it was very disappointing. Also you could have knocked an elephant unconscious with the bread buns.

Everything was hot. Lovely food. Couldn't find major fault, only issue I had was there was a slight bit too much salt but that's more of a personal preference. 10/10

Asked for a chip bun Was served on a sesame seed bun which is a no no for me leave them for burgers. Chips were more like potato peelings and I through half away because they were inedible

Theres been mixed opinions since this shop changed ownership but i must say i really enjoyed my sausage chips and gravy with salt n vinigar and my mrs really enjoyed her fish and chips we was both debating going back for seconds haha thank you for out dinner

Quite possibly the worst chippy I've ever been to! To put it politely and the food been hot is the only good thing I have to say. It was so greasy that I squeezed the batter and it was dripping with grease! Politely staff but would never go back.

I have eaten chips n curry sauce all over the UK. Best curry sauce I have ever had at a chippy. They make mushy peas themselves, and for the first time in my life, I enjoyed them. Staff were friendly and the mountain of food I ordered for my horde was cheap. Kids loved the food, battered sausage, pies, homemade fishcake...

I happened to be passing through grimsby a week ago so naturally had to stop for fish n chips , has to be done ✔️. What seemed like a fruitless search I stumbled across the fisherman and I can honestly say I'm glad I did Best fish n chips I've had in a while. And next time I'm passing through il be going again too

My first visit but most definitely not my last. The quality and quantity of the food is excellent. I had 2 regular fish which were big ( would be a large in other establishments) and chip ( enough for 2 in one portion). Congratulations to all concerned…keep up the good work …and as Arnie says ‘I’ll be back’

Just called for fish and chips for wife and myself and have to say they were delicious. Fish was nice and white and moist and chips golden and fluffy. Will be back again

The place has changed name with new owners ,its now called fry day, ordered medium fish with small chips and curry sauce, the fish has big with bubbly batter the curry sauce was nice and the small chips was enough for two.the fish was white and flakey and cooked to perfection, they do a small fish and chips for £3.50 which i think I'll get next,definitely going back.
