Hard to rate this pace as each visit has its issues and highlights. Hard to know when they will be open and frankly has never been the same since the old lady when it was the Golden Kebab stepped away several years ago. The, I assume daughter, has big shows to fill and she struggles. Food is generally very decent but the “running” of things just does not seem right.

I rarely review restaurants… but was so disappointed I feel I must. Visited this newly re- opened place - had been once before lockdown and it was really good. Nice decor and really friendly service. I don’t see it staying open for long. It was so over priced - £25 for a lamb shank with no veg Food was nice but not at all worth the money at all. One 330ml beer was £5. Really limited menu too - only had two beers one of which (also £5) you can buy in Lidl at four for £5!! Feel absolutely ripped off. £70 for two courses with No wine.

Have just spent a lovely evening at Frosoullas. The staff really are so welcoming and our server was attentive without being intrusive. We ordered the house white wine and that was good. We both went for the Calamari to start and it was delicious, so fresh with a tasty batter. For mains i decided to stick with seafood and went with the Saganaki, a great choice as the mussels, prawns, salmon etc, were full of flavour and served with a lovely sauce. My partner usually has lamb kebab but wanted to try something different and opted for the Chicken Yachni which was like a casserole with vegetables in a rich tomato sauce and roast potatoes on the side and his verdict was "Fantastic". We finished off with greek coffee. All in all a fab meal, great value, great service and in lovely surroundings. We've already booked to go back with friends.

Visited on a cold wet and windy Saturday night. Very small but seemed ok. Starter ok but main meal horrible salad plus plate too much and nearly all pork. Partners steak was not well done as asked and cheap type of steak at £23. No napkins, waitress smelled of smoke, rowdy swearing couples at next table but no one asking them to be quiet. The final complaint which I just couldn’t believe was that the waitress said they didn’t have a card machine and there was an atm at the end of the corner!!!!! What restaurant nowadays has no card machine!!!! Never again!!!!

I do not recommend this restaurant! The staff looked friendly but we felt rushed. The "greek salad" they served was everything but greek. Let me describe it, it was 2 leaves of small Iceberg Lettuce? with 1/2 slice tomato, 1/2 cucumber and that's it...no white cheese, no onion, olives...I am not joking. The wine was very expensive, 1/3 of a very small vine glass was £5.50. We all were very disappointed and would never come back.

Wife got us a voucher through one of the deal websites. £25 for a meal that was meant to be £50. Was a good feed with authentic tastes, but never was £50 worth though. The food was the only authentic part of the whole place. Was very quiet, we were only people in it for a while. There was no heating apart from a small heater nowhere near us. Disappointed and don't think we will be back, there are better Greek restaurants around for that authentic feel.

Having returned from our holiday in Cyprus we are always looking for a restaurant to recreate the Cypriot food we eat every time were in Cyprus. This gem and of a place certainly does that. The food is cooked by a lovely chef Frosoulla herself, she even came out to check to see if we enjoyed our meal. She also has a lovely team working with her, very friendly and attentive without being in your face. Recommended, beef stefado and the calamari. The place its self is small and compact but we didn't have any issue with this. We will be notified when she makes her special slafitakas which we certainly will return. Well done guys, apart from the rain that evening it felt like we were having dinner in Cyprus 😁.

Very disappointed. 6 for a meal and both my wife and my meals were very poor. Starters obviously bought in and tasteless (vine leaves and meatballs). My main was Moussaka and was basically thin cut potatoes in a sauce with a sprinkle of mince with a side of potatoes. My wife had stafado which was tough and overpowered with cinnamon. Wine is expensive at £20 a bottle and is average at best. Staff were very pleasant.

Visit this restaurant every Sunday for good atmosphere, service and food. What can I say about the food. Well going every week says it all. The kebabs and keftefies meatballs are what we had this week (see pic). The lemon potatoes are always freshly cooked and the best I've tasted. The kebabs are huge but still had to attempt to finish it as it was so good. Frosoullas are so generous with the size of the meatballs. I've never seen them that big as I've tried a few Greek restaurants and are usually 1/4 of the size compared to these. We have just about tried every dish on the menu and can't fault anything so far. They let me try passticio which is like a big piece of lasagne but with tubes of pasta lamb mince and mint. Absolutely amazing. Your typical comfort food which went perfect with chunky chips and Greek salad. We have yet to try the Meze however will be trying next week as we saw the other table practically salivating at the table with the amount they got. Noticed was under 50 pounds for 2 for the Meze. Well worth it for what was coming out to their table. They had to pull another table over to fit it all on which I found funny. Frosoulla we have gotten to know so well and she is all about feeding her guests good wholesome food and making sure they enjoy their experience. She takes time to talk to guests which I feel gives the whole experience a nice touch. You almost feel like family as I see regulars ecery time we are in. Would highly recommend. Thanks frosoulla. See you next Sunday at our usual time x

Best to park on Battlefield Road as Frosoullas is on a side street literally crammed with parked cars. My wife and I dined on a Groupon voucher and we apparently had £50 worth of mezes for £22. There was no way the food we had was ever worth £50. A glass of house red was an eye-watering £6.25 and my glass of unidentifiable sparkling water (no bottle) was a ludicrous £2.75. FOR WATER!! I wish I was kidding. The restaurant seems tiny and we were seated in very close proximity to the next table and just outside the kitchen. The clattering noises from the plates made conversation difficult. The background music was quiet and thankfully didn't include the monotonously annoying bouzouki. Our starters were really nice. Warm pitta bread with a small selection of dips including a wonderful hummus obviously home made, and some Greek salad with feta cheese. 41 minutes after our waiter placed warm plates on our table, all of our main courses arrived at once with a sincere apology for the delay. More Greek salad arrived along with warmish beef Stifado (it was on a cold plate) with an overpowering kick of cinnamon in the sauce which dominated all the other flavours. The two large keftedes meatballs in tomato sauce were really good as were the five roast potatoes. The waiter then brought an enormous portion of what he told us was "moussaka" but it was was dry and weird - missing the essential potatoes and aubergines, but including some minced lamb and lots of dried-up pasta with some kind of dried-up tasteless gunge as a topping. This was an unpleasant dish resembling a dried-up failed lasagne, sadly not to our taste and we left most of it. When our plates were being removed, my wife asked about this weird dish and was told by a waitress that it wasn't moussaka at all but a Cypriot dish called pasticcio. I would never dream of serving this dried-up stodge to my friends. Lidl's lasagne would be a much safer bet. It's much more succulent. No dessert is included. Really nice friendly service but honestly the food was not a patch on the now defunct Greek Golden Kebab across the road. I am quite sure the food at Frosoullas is home made but we've had much better cooking than this on Groupon vouchers. So that's it. With the crammed and noisy table, slow service and the parking issues, Frosoullas is not worth anything remotely like the £50 voucher value which they claim. And their mark-up on drinks is a royal rip-off. On our experience this restaurant will probably remain Groupon voucher territory, but watch out for their excessively greedy drinks prices. It wasn't a particularly pleasant experience for us. And if you suffer from claustrophobia, this place may not be for you.

Hadn’t been to this restaurant in a long time and had good memories of the food so was perhaps expecting too much. Very small so doesn’t need many for it to look full, the night we were there was no exception. First impression was service was slow, only one person serving, eventually our order was taken for our drink while we made our decisions. We had starters of halloumi and lounza and the portion and everything was ok, but when we the mains came, I’ve seen and had large portions before, but they were ginormous and off putting. The calamari I had there were so many rings you could have fed a family and needless to say a lot was left, such waste, my companion had kleftiko which was enjoyable with loads of potatoes where justice was done. Coming to pay the bill was told they only take cash, was also told there was a cash line further down the street, now in this day and age where ATM’S are disappearing along with the banks and are encouraged to be cashless found it unsatisfactory. When you arrive there is nothing to tell you about this therefore unprepared. Fortunately it was a dry night when I had walk the distance to the ATM. Would I go back, not sure as the memory of times past was shattered a bit.

Was given a Groupon voucher for my birthday and decided to go last night to start our holiday off as we are going away today. Paid £15 in a taxi to get to the restaurant and on arrival there was a note on the door saying closed for two weeks for electrical rewiring in the kitchen. We were shocked and then very angry. We then had to pay for a meal elsewhere and another taxi home. Our night out turned out to be a very expensive night out and not the relaxing night out we were looking forward to .

If my husband said mmmmn once more I was sure he was going to get a smack in the face: he couldn’t help himself, it was that good. I quickly forgot my pet hate ( being so close to other diners) as the food was delicious , the service was great and the prices very reasonable. I've been to Frosoulla's a handful of times now and every visit has been wonderful. There is such a lovely relaxed atmosphere within the restaurant and the staff are so friendly. The portion sizes are very big so expect a hearty meal, but the prices are very reasonable for the size of the dish served. The wine list is great and the cocktails are fabulous. If you can't resist a dessert but feel too full, the staff will offer to give you a pudding away in a doggy bag which is ideal. I would recommend booking your table as the restaurant is only open 4 days a week and can get busy. Frosoulla's is a wee hidden gem in the Southside and I can't recommend it enough!

We have been here a few times and as usual the food was amazing. We had Dakos for starters, Beef Stifado and Soufitos which was beef medallions with a lemon and garlic sauce, oven baked potatoes and vegetables with a bottle of Pinot Grigio. Excellent service and value for money .

Review is a little late but we were on vacation in Glasgow in May, we ate at Yiamas three times. Fantastic every time. Best place to get a fresh salad and the lamb was amazing. the owners recognized us on the third visit and had a great chat. food and service were top notch. They were even accommodating with giving us a table suitable for my fathers wheel chair.

Appears to go by Riverside Cafe now but my Greek friends all still call it Pie Pie. Great choice of pastries and panini and real Greek frappe. You know it’s good when it’s full of (Greek) locals. Now that I’ve found it, it’s my go to place when I’m in the office.

This Halloumi is a sister branch of the amazing Halloumi in Glasgow City centre, so we thought we'd give this restaurant a try. It was a quiet work day, so it wasn't that busy. The waitress gave us the menu and suggested that we order 2 or 3 dishes each for sharing. So we order 2 each, plus a bowl of hummus and toasted pitta bread. The rest of the order was 2x Loaded Halloumi Fries, Halloumi Gyros, Vegetable Moussaka, Mac & Cheese and Swordfish & King Prawns. The dishes were quite generous and even only 2 dishes each was hard work for us to finish off. I prefer my cooked halloumi to be firm and always worry that the fried halloumi will be too soft, but these were cook perfectly. The fries were accompanied by fried halloumi cubes garnished with chilli and spicy mayo. It was a perfect blend. The moussaka was also excellent. The cooked vegetables were so aromatic with all the smell and flavours held in by the top layer of mashed potatoes. Everyone enjoyed the meal and we would definitely revisit.
