Nice pub in a student area. Has a good variety of beers. Can be packed on Derby football days. Food service has stopped. Ale price at £2.3 weekdays £3.75 Saturday and Sunday

Good pub very busy but the men’s toilets are really really really bad . Smell is horrendous it’s been like that for absolute years . Can’t they get it professionally deep cleaned or toilets renovated . Seriously a health risk if you ask me it makes your eyes burn if you’re in there too long .. sort it out hydes

Well kept and good selection of the Hyde beer range. Cheap too, £2.30 real ales every day on week days when this was posted. Good music from the piped jukebox. Good fun!

Has been my local for about 3 years now, layout is nice and big but lots of cozy seating. Traditional pub vibes with fire place in the winter. Akin with locals and students, this place is always busy but you always feel at home - there have been a few fights, but I have always felt safe - tbh the locals seem to sort the issues out! There is massive outside seating area which catches the sun. Always show major sports, even horseracing and golf etc - can get rowdy but part of the fun. Drinks are reasonably priced, especially if you come before 6 for the happy hour where a pint is about £4 - bargain. Staff are very friendly, hardworking and seem to be having a good time - love coming here on Friday nights where they sometimes have some loud music and everyone is buzzing!

Multiple members of my group, me included, were ignored at the bar. I stood there for 20 minutes trying to catch a bartender's attention. Had to leave in the end cos I couldnt get a drink. Ill return next time I want to sit in a loud smelly courtyard WITHOUT a pint

Good for cheap drinks. Studenty pub. Not the nicest atmosphere to spend time in though. Cleanliness not great. Food nothing special.

Brought Paulicarus to The Friendship as this was our local from 1977 - 1982. In 1978 a pint + Cinzano and lemonade was 48p. On New Years Day 1980 lunchtime 60 cm of snow fell ... the heaviest snow fall I ever saw in 3 hours. Joked we were snowed in! We lived round the corner next door to a lot of the staff. We held lots of after pub parties with them. Most of their pint pots ended up in our flat! Only been back a couple of times in 42 years. Very vibrant Hydes pub. Good outdoor patio seating. Met my in-laws on said patio. Good pint of Hopster and a rosé wine but more than 48p. Lots if extentions in 45 years. Now open plan so the backroom probably no longer win evety football card. Lots of locals in as City on TV..probably still gets lots of students in term time.

Studenty pub on the day we went, very weatherspoonsy relating to smell and cleanliness. Staff were friendly and super helpful. Big outdoor garden but lots of smoking so not ideal for children but perfect for a few beers.

Nice staff on the day behind the bar. Locals having alot of loud enthusiastic fun in the middle of the day. Bad language every other word was a bit distracting. I'm not offended but it's just annoying when you can't have a conversation with the mate sat opposite you. But the buy one get one free happy hour is astounding in this day and age. Felt like going back 20 years in time.

Student bar. Loads of youngsters. Good atmosphere especially for football matches, but very young crowd. Can be hilarious at last orders!!! Cask ales are well kept.

Just called in as I was passing Had a couple of pints of Hyde's Original very good indeed My visit was in Happy hour which is 12 till 6 Monday to Friday £2.30 a pint I enjoyed it so much I'll be calling back

Pop across the road for a battered sausage or a massage if you want to explore more local hotspots. Must Visit

Good for a pub quiz and watching all the sports. Josh behind the bar pours a perfect Guinness which they seem to struggle with over the road. Highly recommend

Can’t say a bad word about the experience. First time in Manchester for my step-sisters 40th and we came across this amazing and cute pub! Lovely atmosphere with a charming young bartender called Joshua who is a very witty individual to say the least and had my sister in stitches all night! Will definitely return here again shall I find myself in manchester!

I had a great time at the friendship inn, the quiz was a good laugh and the service was amazing, particularly from the ginger worker (think his name was Josh). He made sure me and my partner were looked after and only contributed to our laughs and a great time. Will be coming back 100%

We went in this pub on a whim and I was pleasantly surprised, had a beautiful gin and tonic made by the wonderful Issy, she was very attentive and I will be returning 🍹🍸🍻

Called in here on Thursday evening to do the quiz. Even though it was very busy we were served very promptly and politely by Issy. We will be back.

Get the thursday bingo gone. No one comes here for the bingo over the football, football should take priority in a pub. Don’t recommend.

Hydes boozer popular with locals and students. Good selection of holts ales and plenty of guest ales to choose from. Roomy inside with lots of varied seating. Plenty of outdoor seating too. Good for a stop off on a cycle as it's just off the fallowfield loop line. Happy hour 12-17 mon to Friday (approximately but deffo from 12 ) with deals on all the ales. Shows sports, plenty of tellys to choose from..🍻 🚴 Recommended

Unfortunately I struggled to find a clean empty table in here every table inside & out was filled with dirty glasses maybe a the staff need some training in front of house service so we left & went elsewhere

I've ran companies and I realise that it is all about supply and demand. To have 1 person working behind the bar in what is the most popular pub in fallowfield on a Sunday afternoon strikes me as either gross incompetence or wilful mismanagement. The pub is fantastic and I've been going there for 20 years but nobody wants to wait forever to get served .

Great pub. Lots of huge TV screens, when I went there half was showing football and the other darts. Which for a darts and football fan was excellent!

Good pub, great atmosphere. Typically full of students, so serving times can be a bit long and the music eventually ramps up to a deafening level.

Can't go fallowfield without going friendship, always full of people and can boast one of - if not the cheapest pint in Manchester.

Well established local pub. Group of local regulars. Mainly student customers. Has quite a lot of outside seating which is good when weather is good. Plenty of screens inside for sports viewing. Can get crowded at times but generally good atmosphere.
